    Nice one! So Canadian Smarties are like M&Ms? Ours (spelled the same way) are these weird, chalky, fruity things - would NOT recommend in general, let alone in a trail mix! But since yours are chocolate, I don’t blame your wife for stealing them! 😆

  • @jeffvallentine913
    @jeffvallentine913 2 роки тому

    Watched both yours and your brothers videos. Both great stuff. Something that's been in the back of my mind is the style of canoes you and all the people you paddle with choose. Like your boat seems to be a little more white water friendly, bit more rocker, volume. More than the others who show up regularly in your videos.. Xander in a purpose designed white water boat this trip. How intentional are you guys in your choices? Really selective, random, whatever was the best deal, favorite color, favorite brand, anything that floats? Just curious. When my friends and I were all skiing a lot sort of an unspoken competition sprung up on who skied the longest boards. This was before shaped skis. Anything like that with canoes? Yeah I'm an old dog...

    • @maximbudnick
      @maximbudnick  2 роки тому

      Thanks! Yes my canoe has quite a bit of rocker to it you are right and is designed as expedition white water canoe. It turns on a dime but consequently doesn't track very well if you let it glide without steering. I definitely bought this canoe on purpose because I wanted a canoe that can handle significant white water on serious trips for two people. Xander just recently bought that single seat playboat and is figuring it out it can hardly load more than a weekends worth of gear and without airbags. Its funny how basic shapes like a canoe with a rocker or not will probably not change in a 1000 years of canoe design. Certain Basic shapes will always make certain performance compromises.
