Ive been doing mat pilates for 3 months, consistently. I decided to stop and do cardio+abs for two weeks, then my body experienced drastic changes as well, my core felt weak, I bloat easily, I do not feel my energy levels optimized, and my ankle injury started hurting again. I've resumed pilates again, and now I feel much better. Thank u for this vid, loved it 🤍
Wow, even doing abs you feel your core weakest, I guess it’s because Pilates works the core differently: you need to keep your abs engage while moving your legs and arms, this is better then doing crunches alone.

I feel the same way about hot yoga! It is a very challenging work out but it’s also a great mental and spiritual release as well! I enjoy light weight training twice a week and doing yoga 3x a week 😊
Really? All my friends and family and even people on the internet bashed me for doing Pilates instead of heavy weight lifting… bc they say I look more attractive with a big muscular thick body type not a skinny lean one.

I have a little fear of hot yoga haha. I did 5 times before and got my back injured and then my gluteus and hamstring, I guess was a sciatic nerve injury. Iam a runner and this injury makes me very sad. Now I’m okay again, but I don’t want to do hot yoga for a good time haha

I had to stop Pilates after I tore my ACL and haven’t been back for four months! I’m still healing from surgery and not going to Pilates my entire body composition has changed. I was fit. At 5’2 at 127 I was in the best shape of my life. It’s been four months and I’m 141 😢 I can’t wait to heal and be back in the classes so I can feel more confident in myself.

If you fall off your routine every once in a while, that's okay. I can't speak for everyone of course but I don't mind. To me it makes you more relatable.
I did at home Pilates plus some core yoga and my posture felt so amazing like immediately. Walking felt 20x better after that because I didn't feel all crumpled in on myself and didn't even realize that was what I disliked it.

I love watching your videos when I'm on my bed with snacks. I have a completely different life and I respect your style. How do you keep doing this everyday? I am a lazy girl so I never understand😂
I would love to try reformer pilates but it just isn't in my budget yet. I do however love leg days twice a week at the gym and yoga and stretching. Yoga has been great for my back especially Yoga with Adrienne's yoga for text neck video.
You only do legs at the gym twice a week?so your only weight lifting two days a week? So your core and arm-days are Pilates and yoga?

@17Chrisy That is true however reformer is better in the sense that is more targetet and its ideal if you want to improve strenght & flexibility also you are assessed by a certified instructor and followed throughout (like you saw in this video) which is extremely beneficial and is what makes reformer cost a lot
@@allie6883that’s actually not true, reformer Pilates was invented to prepare you for mat Pilates as the exercises in mat Pilates focused on your entire body weight + additional weights

Hey, I don't know if it's possible for you but who would you recommend for at-home pilates without pieces of equipment I want to do pilates but do not have the budget for the equipment or sessions maybe I'll do sessions in future but now, who would you recommend.
