Toilet slurs against India is hilarious, we were pioneers in Sanitation if you can read read about Indus Valley Civilization, at that time the european tribes were busy in naked hunting and gathering. We were 25% of world's GDP until white man set its foot on our land. We had a problem of less toilet availability we identified it in 2014 and built toilet on such a large scale in 5 year that it is equivalent to number of toilets whole of Europe has. Read the World Bank report on Swach Bharat Mission in 2021. We have nearly bulit toilets for all householders, the usage pattern is yet to change with majority using it others will change in coming times.

I don't want to sound like a hater at all, but you mentioned the Chinese lunar missions "Chang'e", pronounced as (chang-e), its actually pronounced 'cha' as in cha-cha, then an 'ng' sound, then the 'e' is an 'uh' sound, but it kind of sounds like you're asking a question, so 'uh?'. i am sure Bharat will increase ISRO's budget in the coming years as our GDP grows. By 2040, ISRO will be on a whole different level altogether with huge funding.

Many westerner doesn't get the Indian psyche! GoI along DoS is first prioritising making small & critical things first & then jump onto the big things, we are still a developing country with a very low tax paying population, govt has to rationalize the funds optimally to fork out as much as possible. All those complaining why funding for ISRO is low, will cry foul if some subsidy or anything benefitting them gets taken away.
The Indian government has recently approved and allocated funds for several significant space projects, including the Indian Space Station, Chandrayaan-4, LUPEX (Lunar Polar Exploration), the NGLV (Next Generation Launch Vehicle, a heavy-lift launch vehicle), a Venus mission, and a new launch port. As per ISRO's plans, the SPADEx (Space Docking Experiment) mission is scheduled to be launched before December 15th, while the Gaganyaan-1 (G1) mission is expected to launch by the end of this year. Additionally, ISRO is set to submit the project report for Mangalyaan-2(including Mars Lander) to the Space Commission for approval.
