I can't believe I panned the drums audience perspective. gross. But how sick is that wa47fet????
Gross.
Yeah. Wouldn’t want it to sound like an audience would hear it. ;)
Who does that… I’m grossed out man
@@JakeReedmusic If Jake says it's gross... it must be gross.
I feel your pain!!! Thanks for making great vids. Though Rupert keeps barking at the fat kick tone!
Hey Andrew, been subscribed from the beginning and your content and the way to deliver it is my favorite... Great drum sound... All the best... Keep going..
Sheesh. Those drums sound perfect!
wow, sounds AMAZING!
This sounds awesome
those drums sound great!
Great video send!
how does the WA-47F compare to the WA-47Jr? I think the Jr was also supposed to be a FET version of the WA-47, just in a smaller housing
Man your intro theme jam sounds killer! Did you record and produce that in the same space shown here? I have 3 Warm mics... might have to get this baby
I gotta try one of these... I was just playing trying some different 47s. This sounds pretty good.
I love your work Mr.
Glad to find you here :)
Andrew! That did sound awesome. I think you need to ask the Mrs to help you with a vocal demo on the that 47 fet:)
I'm down.
The ultimate kick drum mic
Great work! Recording classic rock analog. Have limited tracks. Would you say 47fet outside is all i need on the bass drum? Thanks!
Have you had a look at Townsend Labs Sphere L22 and the various mic emulations for drums?
I love nice Mics but for me they aren't affordable but I totally understand what you mean. One day I'd love to get some of these kinds of affordable mics
WARM is awesome. 1st heard them used on Mr. Carlson's Lab. He used it for vocal, & I was blown away. You are the 1st to apply it to music instruments, & I have to say there is no failure here. I would love to own one myself.
hell yeah!!!!
I invite you to my studio in Berlin with sleeping place, ✌🏻lets nerd talk
Fantastic mic! A natural super-sounding mic. It's just perfect!
Why don't you test out the Slate ML-1?
Great as always! Would love to see a shootout once you get the 12 against the blacklion 12
wait what, black lion doesnt make mics.
@@fffffffffax avantone cv-12 the Taylor swift mic, black lion makes a mod for it the cv-12BLA
I love my genuine u,47 fet as over head pair
I bought the wa-47jr for kick out purposes and I'm amazed at how good that sounds. Loads of weight in the 50-60hz range. I would be interested to hear an a/b with this.
I own both. The WA47F has more punch. I also own the Neumann 47, and the WA47f is pretty much spot on.
Which is the best one?
Significantly better than a wa 47jr, or should I just get the wa47 tube and keep the jr?
Oh wow! You can't go wrong with a FET47 ... especially at 799 :D
This sounds BAD ASS
Sounds good to me.
I am really interested how the Warm will compare against the United FET47 which is a perfect recreation of the original Neumann U47 FET.
"Perfect recreation" of WHICH N47 though? Anyone with experience/ familiarity with original/ vintage FET 47s will tell you they ALL sound different. If you are referring to the fact that United designed and constructed their mic to be as "faithful a reproduction" as possible based on the schematics and using their choice of materials (because it's impossible to obtain all the same parts from the original era - then I agree, I would ALSO like to hear a side to side comparison as I am a FAN of the United microphone!! Cheers! 🤘🏻
Thx for sharing I liked it. I use the WA47 tube for vocal. It sounds amazing.
My setup is just vocal and acoustic guitar. I play keyboards. I went through a different mics, the WA47 just stood out for me specially for the price. Also the music you have on there, very nice man is ever loud .
Not 1 not 2 wait 2 new mics
How do you think this compares to their 47jr? I figured that was already their take on the FET 47, but I guess not lol
Same question. I have the jr & am curious myself.
Same. I own it too.
Jr has no transformer. So it’ll be cleaner / more sterile. This will probably sound more
Competitively like a traditional 47 FET or similar clone. The Jr. has amazing sub frequency sound but does not sound like a real FET, but for $300 goes far.
Also want to know the answer to this question, as someone who owns 2 47jrs and loves them for their incredible versatility.
"never say never" 😉 So nice to hear drums panned properly for the visual... last time I checked we are your audience! Maybe you should start asking Engineer/Producers on your studio tours if they prefer "audience" or "drummer's" perspective and then make a video compilation of "preference" and "why?"
drummer perspective. why? air drums. People don't want to listen to drums, they want to be the drummer. in their cars at the stop light, desk at work/school. playing the big fills. Most people are right-handed so right hand drummer perspective. With that said, I have mixed bands that wanted audience perspective.
@@PlottingTheDownfall Air drummers "play" in mono 😎 and probably amount to 3% of "the audience". Ultimately, my point is when making a video of a drum performance unless the camera is behind the kit the audio doesn't match the visual.
I'm confused. The WA47F has been out for quite a while now. Right? What's new?
You're thinking of the transformerless WA47jr. That's a different microphone/design/components.
@@AndrewMasters Yeah you’re probably right. I just assumed there was a senior since there was a junior. I don’t follow warm audio that much.
The WA-47 has been out, however that is a tube mic. The 47 FET is not tube.
@@Jesse_Stiles yes I know.
@@crescentsoundstudios the senior is the WA47 huge tube one
Gotta get my new Neves 1073 and TLM 103 paid off before I can buy even a pick or my wife will kill me! 😂 Def wanna check it out though! Thx
