This video shows you how to reinsert the shaft. You will have to take the water pump off to refit the key way (woodruff key). I hope you haven't lost the key way when it came out?
Good question. I forgot to mention it in the video, and you can't quite see it. It goes on the top of the drive shaft. Once the impeller housing is back on, you slip the oring on the end of the shaft. There is a small groove that it will locate in.
@@glennosgarage yes, that's one. In a meantime, I managed to remove the leg, but this bolt is still there, unable to screw on unscrew, I guess the drill has to put on work
When i pulled the water pump up , i pulled the shaft out of lower unit. How do you reinsert the shaft

@@glennosgarage do you know what that o ring does?
I got stuck with removing nut inside the unit. It cannot be unscrew. It is turning but not going out. Any suggestion?
I'm not sure what part you're referring to. Do you mean the small bolt that's connected to the shift rod via a brass connector?

@firstlast1995 if the threads have stripped in the brass piece you may have to replace the brass connector. Good luck 👍🏽

No I can't sorry. I have since sold this outboard. You should be able to find a part number easily at marineengine.com
