    I'm curious as to how the vegetation all around the vines is brown and dead. Is that just the time of year? Dry conditions? Is that from herbicides? If it was dry conditions I'd think the grass closest to the vines would be green still from the irrigation. It seems odd the vines are green and lush and the plants all around are dead.

      Drip irrigation, dry conditions and time of year, no herbicides, manual weed control.
