Yes, I know I call it Wayfarer the whole video because I read it too fast, and I've changed the title. MY BAD!
Wow thanks for showing the vocation chart, I can guess what all the vocations are now.
Looks like pink and purple are Holy and Dark magic separated into their own vocations now, which is cool. The advanced Dark magic looks like a necromancer, and the advanced Holy looks like a monk class. Pink/Red hybrid looks like a Holy warrior sword/shield class, and Green/Purple is a dark magic thief class. Yellow/Green is likely the assassin class. Advanced green is a martial arts class, that's awesome. This chart makes perfect sense.
copium@@WatchThis-ek2og
Oh yeah! Mark my words, if you want the advanced vocation for archer you will have to ask the elves to teach it
YOO
I really hope so!
I think that makes the most sense. They probably are the experts of the longbow.
I honestly think that’s how we’re getting magick archer! We even see glyndwyr’s sister holding a magic bow
That would be awesome just like the original Ragnarok online where you can only get the job you want by doing their
specific quest in different region.
The new class (Dante from Devil May Cry) is DEFINITELY though for players who want to play solo, or want to do challenge runs without pawns. They definitely want to give us the chance to experience everything and at this point I am fine with having only one save slot. I really appreciate what they did with this game, this really is peak. Itsuno is the fucking savior of videogames.
Imagine this vocation with the assassin augments that make you stronger when fully solo in DD1. Wonder if that would offset the low base stats Warfarer has.
It is basically just an enhanced Assasin.
The text on the website says the warfarer has lower stats so they must utilize their weapon swapping strategically in order to allow them to stand on even ground with vocations with specializations.
Which makes sense tbh. 🤔
I mean someone made barefists work in DD:DA. There will be a disgusting combo from this class.
@@Flourikum def an endgame vocation
Well this more or less confirms that more vocations will be in the game. Makes no logical sense to have this class and not advanced thief and archer instead obviously they will have them so this class can capitalise on it.
Yeah, also, they revealed it before the game launches. I can hardly see them spoiling such a large vocation if it was the only one.
@@FrozenAXL that’s the thing it’s not that large of a vocation it’s the perfect one to reveal tho. People don’t seem to understand while it uses all the other vocations assets it’s still the most unique vocation in the game, no other vocation will play like it, it’s a hybrid of a hybrid of a hybrid. As it stands atm there’s 40 different ways you can play just this singular vocation alone it’s the perfect marketing strategy since it promotes replay ability and when they bring out more vocations it increases it sustainability.
Well color me enthusiastically wrong old friend. Glad to see it.
Great to see what amounts to Dantes Style Switching make it into DD2 as vocation. In hindsight, perhaps the reveal of the Trickster was a small clue to this given Trickster is one of Dantes styles, albeit much different than whats shown here. Itsuno continues the meme. I'll be damned if we dont have Dante Mains recreate his playstyle. I imagine it would be....
Fighter = Swordmaster
Archer/ Magick Archer = Gunslinger
Thief = Trickster
Warrior = Royal guard what with royal release and storing up energy for big damage.
If you want to include Doppleganger style from DMC3 then that would have to be Mystic Spearhand with its stand/doppleganger clip (which in hindsight feels like another clue)
Which would have to be hinting at a possible implementation of the High scepter from DDO as a stand in for the Dark Slayer Style from DMC4 or just Vergils specific style.
Hopefully theres more vocations that Pawns can use too. Dont want to be the only badass in my party if I can help it.
there was a suspicious playtester in 4chan who claimed to have played the game up until the ending and the total vocations will be 15, and it can unlock via quest, there's 2 vocations that can be unlock through getting a specific ending. Moreso, the game has 4 endings according to the "4chan" leaker. Take it with a grain of salt@@leonardbrazil5497
Why are people mad that there is a sheath button? Isnt there a sheath button in thr first game? Thats such a weird thing to be mad about.
Right, and it's those little details that really add to the immersion of a game which is really important in an rpg. Related to that, for instance, the way fighters hold their sword scabbard in place while runnong
Because a lot of people are idiots. "Want. Button. Smash. Boom boom."
Pls bring Mystic Knight back! That was my favorite class ever I've ever played in any video game.
there is probably going to be a variant of it
This is gonna be the Elden Ring of 2024
Elden Ring dlc be like “wait a minute…”
Best coment ever
God I need this game now.
Gonna be a long 2 months.
SAME FUCK
RIGHT!
Sad that I couldn't get to play it before going back to work, too...
Amen brother
You can clearly see the FPS is more than 30 during the Dark Bishop gameplay at 1:02. Those who believe in the 30FPS rumor definitely can't tell the difference between 30FPS and 60FPS, hence it doesn't even matter if the game is locked at 30FPS (which I highly doubt)
While I still hope that the game isn't hard locked to 30 I would like to point out that you're watching a youtube video of a screen recording of a youtube video which is hardly a good way to determine fps with the double layering of youtube's compression and framerate changes. That said the only info I've seen regarding the topic that I take any stock is that the system requirements on the steam page(which are submitted by the developer) are listed with the assumption of 30fps.
@@blockington99 the rumor is about the xbox console. and 4k. so they might have to have it locked to 30 fps in 4k. and 60 in 1440p or 1080p. And on pc it will probably be 60 fps and a choice to unlock it. but rumors are rumors not fact therfor no need to panic at all. and even if it is 30 fps. its not an online competetive game so it does not matter.
My honest opinion, i am pretty sure the game will be 60 fps or you have the choice to not play in 4k to have the fps in 60 or unlocked on all consoles.
I would say the monster at the start of the game is a Cursed Dragon, but it doesn't look any like the DD1 Cursed Dragon.
As for the location the monster appears in it looks like DD2's version of the Bluemoon Tower during Post-Game, which seems fitting because you could fight a unique Wyvern at Bluemoon Tower in DD1 Post Game.
I agree. Looks nothing like the Ur dragon
So in essence we still have Strider, OG Magic Archer, Assassin, and Mystic Knight.
No Mystic Knight. Mystic Spearhand is the new fighter/mage hybrid.
@@greyknight627Maybe warfarer class can have exclusive weapons skills involving magic attacks using sword and shield.
I see your point, but in DD1 the vocations were as much about the weapons they used as they were about the specific abilities each one could use. So I wouldn't say Warfarer is quite that, but it's still interesting
@GeeGe. I was more on the point that we can use multiple weapons instead of being tied down to one weapon like most classes. Also, in my opinion, Strider and Magic Archer plays more fun in DD;DA than what Archer/thief and Magic Archer look like in DD2. I'll give my final verdic when I beat the game but I just wish they kept the og classes but expanded on them not split them up but we will see.
@@dequariuswalker4739agreed. It looks like they nerfed the best classes just to create more half-baked classes
Warfarer seems like the vocation to go for if you consider solo play. I'll definetly do that in my second playthrough as a challange run. Mystic Spearhand seems like the second best option for solo play. Having both magick and physical attacks. Even Thief seems to be good for that since they have a skill that sets their daggers on fire. No ranged attacks tho.
Bro i just re-downloaded dragons dogma funny thing i don't have any trophies on ps5 and i still have my op pawns so im beating this for trophies on ps5 woooooo let's get it
I may be new to Dragon's Dogma, but this new Warfarer thing is right up my alley. In MH I'm a Charge Blade main cause I love having multiple options to swap between, so having like an offense and defense moveset is really appealing to me. Warfarer looks like it can fit that really well. I could do things like have the Fighter in one slot to have a shield and a parry and then maybe swap to the Warrior or Mystic Spearhand for Offense, and then maybe throw on an Archer or a mage for a ranged option. Hell one thing I really want to see is the various potential combos with Trickster. Suddenly that class is no longer limited to the back seat as now you could do things like summoning illusions and manipulating aggro, only to swap to a big greatsword and mess people up.
You can be a sorcerer and warrior at the same time game of the year right here
Sheath button is one of my favorite buttons. I love to be able to pull out and put away my weapons on command. Especially with a lightsaber or something, but with all kinds of melee weapons. I would be upset if Sheath wasn't in the game like in the first game.
why do you keep saying online coop play when we know for a fact it does not have that
See how he runs up the ice? Oooh I looove that! Looks like they're still doing magic the way it was meant to be played.
Vocation swapping but armor stays the same. So no more armor limit to special vocations? ^^
My guess on how Warfarer works: skills are tied to weapons, so depending on the excecuted skill you automatically swap to said weapon
I know its only like a 5 second clip, but that sorcerer into warrior combo looks AMAZING and I'm obsessed. I wanted this so much in DD1 but felt so underwhelming while waiting for your soccer to cast the ice spikes to jump off. seems like being able to do it all yourself will take a decent amount of pressure and requirement off of your pawns and make combat way more fluid.
It's Warfarer btw. not Wayfarer.
Fuck, changed my title lol. Thanks!
It looks pretty damn cool im very excited
My floor is wet.
@@OSKGaming123 xD
Can't wait to get my hands on this game!
I'm concerned for the Warfarer without any UI elements to clarify how it plays. Every vocation has a vocational skill bound to (on PS5) R1, This is Fighters block, Archers manual aim/fire and Thief's dodge. If Warfarer's vocational skill is cycling between it's vocations then does that mean we lose quite core elements of each vocation by playing warfarer?
In all of the footage in the trailer surrounding Archer and MA they're using weapon skills not their vocational skill and thief likewise doesn't dodge.
Im just excited about the expanded cast roster and hope the story of the game is something spectacular
This Vocation is essentially The King's Avatar. They even added the Mystic Spearhand this time around.
Dude after BG3 i was hoping that DD2 would have improved their vocation mixing or multiclassing if you will. I didn't like giving up sorc spells to learn skills for mystic archer etc... Maybe warfarer can specialize so you aren't necessarily a jack of all trades master of none. Kind of hoping the weapon/vocation swap isn't unique to warfarer but I'm pretty sure that's exactly the case. As long as i can pick and choose which skills i pick up and use in the warfarer voc then i think it might be my pick for first playthru
Basically Gilgamesh from the anime Fate/stay night
I legit thought of Emiya from Fate not even kidding.
It looks like only three weapons can be used at the same time. All characters seem to only switch to three weapons. Makes sense ilsince it would be incredibly broken if you can use all classes at the same time.
@@lolcatjunior well it could be that you can use all vocations at the same time as long as you swap weapns, so what if you can swap on the fly. depending on the situation, since in theory you can use every vocation. you only have to go through your inventory
I think I’m going to do the vocations individually and save the wayfarer vocation for afterwards or closer to end game for immersion
The theif had HOLY DAGGERS just like the first i assume they'd be constantly holy
I wonder how many classes you can switch between at a time. Im new to the series and want to play sorceror, magic archer, and mystic spearhand. All look cool and I cant decide. Hopefully, I wont have to.
I'm still hoping they add a summoner or necromancer plz ☺
looks like this weapon swap is a vocation, not a feature of the game as a whole. the official site says you will have access to tools from every vocation but they will each be nerfed to compensate for the variety of options you will have compared to the rest. every gameplay clip has up to 3 vocations shown at once. a sorcerer, magick archer, and trickster set up sounds fun.
could be you equip as many weapons at it will allow on the vocation and when you swap you get the one you equipped for that type so maybe his daggers were holy enchanted.
Just to warn you so you can edit or whatever, this is covered in both the video and the title. The beginning footage is just the initial reaction before diving into the actual vocation.
Why would you post all this without watching the video first...
more detailed context @@GeeGe. simple as that, fool
What do you think? The chances are that all vacations get two weapons to swap between but it's limited to viability due to stats while the wayfarer gets 3 weapons and a stat reallocation? Instead of sheath button you get a weapon swapping button
I think each vocation gets one weapon, and the weapon swap is a vocation action on R1
I'm just a poor, Warfaring stranger, traveling through, this world of woe...
ua-cam.com/video/OqYIULLmodU/v-deo.html this version of this song will always be my fav, but it's Warfarer vocation, not Wayfarer :)
@@anhdangviet2668 hence why I put *warfaring stranger*
@anhdangviet2668 I prefer Ashley Johnson and Troy Bakers version since they did it in their Ellie and Joel voices.
@@BerryNiceToMeetYou so you did this intentionally, i have to say because so many people misread that :))
@@anhdangviet2668 yes it was intentional
“I want to fight that.” Dragon’s Dogma series in a nutshell. 😂
Here I am hoping for at least one vocation to be able to use immolation...
I think this will be my jam for sure. I prefer the fighter or warrior for most of the gameplay. Sorcerer for epic moments. And thief for mounting monsters and stabbing them in the eye. This vocation is my dream.
I dont think the holy affinity carries through the swap, i think its just like, a Heaven's Key permanent enchant kind of thing. because its warfarer i think maybe youll lose the vocation action for an option to hold that button and press a face button to swap to one of 4 vocations you set ahead of time
Bro I just got into DD last week I gotta complete it before the sequel.
So now I can finally have my barbarian use a bow when necessary 👏👏
I saw Gandalf there 🧙♂
Just glad that Saving Grace is back 🔥
Awww man.. they added STI's to the pawns T_T
LMAO
ITSUNOOOO SAAAAAAAAAAN!!! EXCEEEED EXPECRTATIONSSSSS!!!!
i hope theres a brawler/monk vocation
Now, we are become Haseo.
cant you in theory train 3 vocations seperat and then swap to warfarer. Lets say sorc, trickster, spearhand. Those are the 3 you focus on. that probably uses magic def and attack stats. By doing this you can use trickster to "wall" yourself off swap to sorc do a big magic spell. swap to spearhand and go in with melee while your big magic attack goes off, when your magic spell runs out back to trickster and start again
No one knows yet
Theyre totally edging the mystic knight. I just put 100hrs into the DDDA to see whats up and it hooked me. I didn’t play mystic knight but I understand what it means to the game/community and they’re definitely gonna have it in there but they’re gonna make yall wait.
How come anyone thought it would only be 9 vocations anyways?
Even with just the base classes reveal we knew there were now 4 vocation colors, green, yellow, blue and red.
If they all get advanced vocations and all possible color combinations, we already have 14 vocations that way.
Then trickster was revealed as a mix between purple and pink. If we just say that those 2 colors won't mix with the other 4, as the trickster seems to come from the beastren country, not the human one, then that's still 19 vocations to expect with pink, purple, advanced vocations for both of them and the hybrid trickster.
IF the pink and purple will mix with the other colors, then boy oh boy, that would make for a total of 27 vocations s.s
I don't really think we will get all color combinations, just because that would be an insane amount of vocations.
But people who ever only believed in 9 are CRAZY tbh. It was beyond obvious from the very beginning that it will be more than that.
This is literally what the developers wanted to do with DD1 realized. All the ideas they wanted to put in and more.
So who would think they would only have the same amount of vocations as the first game?
And again, with the 4 base colors revealed, it was already obvious we would get AT LEAST 12 vocations.
4 base, 4 advanced, 4 hybrid. Even if we don't get all color combinations, we can at least expect the amount of hybrid vocations to match the amount of base and advanced vocations.
The wayfarer will likely be a hybrid of many colors, thus it's outside of this calculation, adding another vocation to the stack of possibilities.
So yeah, whoever thought we would stop at 9 vocations is crazy and really pessimistic. The realistic estimate is more like 18, the optimistic/copium estimate is like 28.
Some people are so dead set on low expectations that they think themselves into a hole.
there were shirts already on sale in jp with 9 on the graphic
Its shirts man...SHIRTS@@Alistair_7609
Doesn't confirm anything @@Alistair_7609
@@Alistair_7609Yeah, that really had me worried. I guess it could kind of make sense if they stick to nine real vocations and one that switches between the rest, but hopefully it was just a weird marketing decision.
I feel like they kind of leaked a magic theif in those clips
Hope there will be NG+
I'm sure there will be. It's in the first game.
Sweet..no more inn to change to a vocation...I notice most of these new classes are from Dragons Dogma Online
I'm sure mystic knight has been replaced with the spear one 😢
Okay now whats stopping me from having s sword and an Axe at the same time😃
Kinda disapointed I havent seen or heard about the Alchemist.
I'm very confused now haha. What do you mean he swaps?? I thought u make a charcater and pick a class!
It’s a class that combines all other classes into one, but with the downside of not particularly having access to the full skill arsenal of each class. Kinda like how mage doesn’t have access to Sorcerer’s big spells.
So basically a buffed assassin? I’m too hyped 😭
They brought back assassin 🗿
DD1 had a huge modding scene, even if the game is restricted to 30 someone is gonna unlock that day 1 with mods.
Modding a console game to unlock 60 FPS? That makes no sense...
The game is 30 FPS on consoles, nothing is going to change that. The PC version will run at whatever FPS your computer can handle, what is the confusion?
This is a vocation ? or "just" weapon swap
I don't understand why they couldn't just have weps be shown when sheath instead of popping in and out. looks funny.
I wish they brought in Alchemist from the online game
This is the only kind of diversity I care about, Wayfarer is looking sick
Thats look like powerfull assasin class but i like it 😌
Now we can shut up about mystic knight and strider missing.
Well see the problem is on pc it gonna be 30 fps but it will dip down by 15 or higher with a 2090 rtx. So people think they won't be able to run the game even with a beefy pc.
Well if you're playing at 4k, then yeah
I don't think itll be to much of an issue for pc but it will probably be 60fps locked of course if it is somehow only 30 fps and there is literally nothing that talks about it mods or a file edit will exist to either unlock or cap at 60fps anyways. Though I do not think capcom will lock it at 30fps on pc, they've had so many games on pc not locked at 30 I find it unlikely. The rumor is about console framerate primarily for the ps5 which is leagues behind what a pc can push.. anyone with a 3060 or higher will be fine on pc.. Also no one has confirmed it yet most reports I see just say RUMOR.
Even DDDA is uncapped or is capped at something compared to the original game. Almost all console games releasing have been locked at 30fps still because console hardware just isn't impressive especially for 4k..
Also the PC requirements section which is often incorrect says 16gb of ram no surprise that's basically a given these days, it does recommend a 2080 which isn't too impressive these days and a 10th gen i7 or 3000 series ryzen 5.. neither of which are anything impressive, now this does say at 2160i/30fps and then it mentions ray tracing, saying a 2080ti or 6800 from amd is required so my guess is like cyberpunk where the game is mostly even on highend pcs around 60ish -100fps..
2160 is basically 2k, for 1080p 30 fps it recommends a 1070 and an 10th gen i5 or 3000 series ryzen 5, much lower requirements. I can easily assume once again most pcs are going to be fine and probably run at 60+fps though it may be 60fps locked and even if its unlocked or capped at 144 or 165 itll probably play best at 60 fps..
what is that with the FPS rumour? Where is the source? why people keep saying like the game's already released?
A.K.A Dante Vocation
But whats the downside about that vocation?
Im playing this whatever the fps is.. ok maybe not below 30.
insect glaive in dragon's dogma
Hoping for alchemist
enchanted dagger?
30 and 60 is big deal it’s not online play coop so be getting it for pc anyway
Deffo my class. Please no disappearing weapons tho! In the char preview they have all the weapons on them! That please!!!!!!
This game😢🎉
It's gonna be "only 30fps" in the same way that its "only 9 vocations". Just a bunch of depressed chronically online pessimists that aren't capable of anything except expecting the worst all the time.
Can steam deck run this game??
Ima be honest, I do not like this vocation at all. This is THE ONE GAME where I am perfectly fine being dedicated to whatever role im putting myself into in whatever vocation, I know this is gonna be perfect for solo runs and stuff but if this class can get like max vocation abilities of other vocations like magic archer then whats the point of having those regular ones? Aslong as it keeps like mid lvl abilities with vocation swapping then its cool, otherwise its not much of a point choosing anything else aside from augments for this class
There is no online play my guy. Mods will have to provide that, if anything.
People are complaining about being able to sheath your weapon? What? Lmao gamers.
That was me that complained about the sheath button. I was hoping they were going to replace it with something more useful like weapon swapping.
Only want the offline play
From huge Ddda fan IM NOT A FAN OF SWAPPING LOCATIONS
HELL NO
switching from mage to warrior are you kidding me ? Its like trying to fish you genetals inside you
Is the fps locked at 30?
yes
It’s a baseless rumour the guys literally telling everyone to “trust me bro”
@@leonardbrazil5497 hey stop, let me spread baseless rumors and misinformation. >:(
From dealing with devs before, I believe the "30 fps" rumor is true. but not exactly what ppl think
The person only saw the promo build of the game, and it'd makes sense for them to lock it at 30 fps if the game is having performance/stability issues....in some footage you can clearly see some issues (like pop-ins.)
Seems to me the Devs had settings tweaked to rly prioritize performance for those ppl to play it
so this person coming out nd saying "when we played it, it was locked at 30 fps"
the problem here is not that *'omg the game is locked at 30 fps???'*
no, ofc itll have higher settings, the problem rn is that the game is having bad performance....
if this game releases with pop-ins, player lagging, low frame rate, it could ruin the release
(Thats how it seems to me)
Difference is tho is that the gameplay we’ve been shown is likely on a build that’s 6-8 months old. Most gameplay showcases are on extremely old builds of the game so even if it was 30fps you have to consider that’s a build on a game that could be anywhere from half a year to over a year old.
@@leonardbrazil5497 BTW ik this is old but can u please explain to me why u think they would show a 8 month old version of the game rather than promoting the best possible gameplay they could?? Thats always seemed like the biggest copium excuse to me for promotional material to look bad lol. Please tell me any actual evidence u have of the build being old...?
also again, not really concerned with the FPS, idc, its the pop-ins and visual bugs that have me concerned. (tho sparce, they are there)
@@SoulKingsss off course well the most simple version of proof that’s at our disposal is then 30 minute long ign video where they confirm that they were playing on a very old build of the game. The second reason is that most game companies capcom included always show there games on older builds of the games just incase there’s any features or small problems in there current gameplay that they don’t want seen. It also helps with feedback if they show older engine gameplay since they can improve the game on the largest amount of outcries with said concerning problem. It’s not copium it’s something that all game companies do to cover themselves it’s just a way for them to make sure that if there’s any problems they can go and fix it and tell the fan base that there going to fix it.
The only problem they’ve had so far is the fps rumour. Which has been debunked on multiple channels now and now the biggest backlash there facing is actually to do with fast travel and 1 save file.
So warfarer is just an endgame vocation where you have the stat to actually deal some damage after you level up other vocations first.
I wouldnt be surprised if it unlocks after the first playthrough.
It says it has lower BASE STATS , so it prob still wont have too much stats even with min maxed levelling ( prob wont hurt to make a perfect hybrid levelling though )
Eyoooo VOCATION SWAP BOIIIISSSS!
No it’s a specific vocation
The video specifically says that's not the case
One game save slot is inexcusable for a next gen game, but I have already pre ordered mine🤣💪🇨🇦
It was never an engine limitation. It’s done on purpose.
