Wesley Hi, don't you have to do something with the crankshaft too when the plates are been resurface...probably you info about that thanks.
On early engines that can be lapped multiple times due to the water jacket seals laying in the rotor housing, you may have to have the stationary gear grinded as well. But the shaft itself does not require any modification.
