  • another glaze review for your beautiful eyes.
this time we are reviewing PC - 59 deep firebrick red . The Potters choice glaze line from Amoco.
this was one of my very first glazes in which I always picked off the shelf whenever looking for a nice stable red. overtime I figured out how to combine some of my homemade glazes and make an oil spot glaze which I will be showing you in today's episode.

Coyote Really red is supposedly a really good oxidation red if you put a hold on it.

I am new to this channel. I really really appreciate your videos. They are so so so helpful. Thank you. I searched through the videos but is there a way to transfer logo on the mugs?

Deep firebrick red was the first glaze that I used at the local parks and recreation facility that conducted classes. I stopped using it for a while just because I was using other glazes but recently started using it again and people go crazy over it. A nice effect like on a mug or vase is to put deep firebrickon the whole pays and then around the rim about an inch to an inch and a half down depending on how big your piece is put indigo float. Have to be careful because it really does float about halfway down the peace. And for even more effect use running hot chowder buy spectrum glazes about halfway down of the indigo float. They running affect is absolutely gorgeous. By the way, are you bringing something to exchange at nceca? a fairly large group of people that I know that are going or exchanging magnets and I live in Virginia and was making some of those.

Hey Donte, This is fascinating!! Would this process be applicable to coloring actual firebrick (for the inside of fireboxes). I have a Skutt 600 kiln and would like to try this process to try to color the firebrick for an outdoor fireplace firebox i'm building. Many thanks!

Brushing the glaze will have the same result?

That color would not go amiss on the alter of an Inca temple

For me, when I have used deep firebrick, it has not turned out such a beautiful red, I wonder if I dont put enough on or if it does better at cone 6 instead of cone 5 🧐🤨

You’re speaking too fast . What is the black top coat . I can’t understand what you are saying that goes on top of the red brick ? Thank you
