The black on that vadar cloak is glorious.

Yay! A new Shatterpoint report. Thank you very much for continuing to share these with the viewers. It certainly helps keep the excitement going while we are in a release lull.
As usual, I have a few comments. Two on Sabé's rules, one on an easily misplayed rule, and one with of my standard pedantry.
    1. When Mace attacked Sabé, I believe you said aloud something about her getting cover. She would not get cover from that attack.
    2. You intended to use her Coordinated Assault when Barriss got attacked. You then popped back in with a comment that you couldn't do that because Barriss was beyond range 5. But! She was in range 5 when you would have done the coordination. It's done before dice are rolled, not after the attack and all those Shoves.
    3. This is the rule that's easy to get wrong, and maybe you are aware of it but just play more casually, which is, of course totally fine. However, for viewers watching, they should be aware that it is against the rules (and this is verified by AMG in the rules forum) to use bases as a measurement device. This means that when contemplating a move, you can't move the model to a number of spots and check to see if that accomplishes your goal (making it to an ingress, getting close enough to an objective, etc.). Once you move the model, that's where it goes. You then check to see the range to various things, and if you eyeballed it correctly, good for you! If not, you're out of luck and can't move the model elsewhere. In other words, even if you don't consciously think you're using the base to measure distances, even if it's not your intent, it is factually what's happening, and (again, as confirmed by AMG) it breaks the rules to change where the model is based on the knowledge gained with this defacto base-as-measurement-tool usage.
    4. Lastly, it wouldn't be a Shatterpoint post/comment from me without pointing out that there is no such thing as a "hit" in this game. There are, however, "strikes." 😉
Anyway, thanks again for the report. It was enjoyable as always. BTW, I recently did the Vader + Padmé combo. It's fun to think of their conversations ("Eww, when did you lose your fashion sense, Anakin?" "Don't call me that!")

      Awesome comment!
Yeah, on the first part, I realized well after the fact that I goofed there. I think I was thinking of the Handmaidens ability to bodyguard, but had Sabe's cover in mind, and melded the two into a weird, incorrect, ability.
I will need to watch the video again to see the situation in the second.
As for the third, this one is tricky. We are aware of the rules regarding using bases as premeasuring. However, as you can tell, we are not the most competitive here, and try to play by intent, and try to make the plays work, within the framework of the game. Sometimes this means we allow for some take backs, or rejiggering. Not always, but sometimes. It is a really delicate line to thread, while maintain as much rules accuracy as we can, and making it to be a fun and engaging video. Short of going hard on rules as written, this one is a tricky one.
As for the last point, you pedant! :p Strikes and hits are fairly interchangeable, as far as vernacular goes. We do try to get the language correct, but it is not always top of mind. The comment is noted, though.
      Cheers!

Yep. Totally get ya about keeping things casual and, in particular, having to consider making a good, entertaining video.
I'm certainly not going to try to convince you to go another way. I'll just offer this perspective:
For us, a good chunk of fun comes from the dramatic tension (not to mention the satisfaction of testing our ability to use our skills of estimating distances!) of not knowing for sure that we're going to get the result we're going for (not having perfect knowledge and the uncertainty that brings). It just feels more true to the shows and (can't believe I'm saying this) "real battlefields." Yeah, I know. But still, it's really fun and cool to not know for sure, and to sometimes fail in our plans and have to make up for it.
Not to mention (but I will), dem's da roolz. :)
      Anyhoo, you do you!

Did ponds defensive maneuver? This must be the good version of him.
Also when ponds was wounded flow of the force is any other allied gets the recovers not the thing wounded.

Cover doesn't work in melee 😅

Huh I wonder what maces identity does. Barris sure wish the party wasn't over🎉 ( going top route with Vader + fury is nine which is what was needed)

Reactives cost force when things are wounded. (ie snips)

Yeah, that was one that occurred to us a bit too late. It was a mistake, as I was thinking of the bodyguard, but reading the cover, and got them horribly wrong as a result

Pretty sure we were spending force when wounded
