    Alright! I have been able to replicate the issue brought regarding the transitions, and I believe going forward, they will be better. Thanks for the feedback!

    I really like your ability overlay.

    Minor note, Han doesn't get to dash on his revenge trigger like others do. He has a sort of Lumi type ability. When an enemy is wounded he dashes. When an ally is wounded he shoots. He doesn't dash and shoot like some other characters. You might have had the base peek anyways, hard to tell. It got healed anyways, so didn't matter.
    Thanks for the gameplay! I was curious to try Han and Luke soon.

      Yeah, we caught that late into the game (made a note of it in the video, as well 😉)
      I think the biggest impact was one or two points, and was remedied quickly after figuring that out

      @AegisbrandStudios Ah, I'm still watching at present so hadn't got there yet. Him having a fairly unique revenge sure makes easy to miss as often as you guys show us different people.
      Thanks for the videos!

      No worries! I would rather be called out on it, then have it missed.
      I appreciate these sorts of comments, a great deal, as they do help us improve

    Once again, a fun report. Once again, thanks for sharing. I know that gets repetitious, but oh well, you'll just have to live with the repeated gratitude. :)
    As usual, I noticed a few things, appreciated a few things, and wanted to give feedback. I don't have this organized. I was scribbling down thoughts on the fly, so this comment is all over the place. Sorry!
    - I really like the new grx additions. Nice touch and very helpful. This includes when you overlay things like "oops, we missed that ..." stuff. I appreciate the quality and the honesty.
    - At one point you were moving along quickly but verbalized something like "We checked all the ranges ahead of time." That goes a loooong way toward eliminating confusion and building trust in viewers like me (not that it may matter, but there you go).
    - A thing I've noticed in several of your videos that I think needs to be called out: Often one player will question the action of the other player. Too far a move. Not enough Force to do it. Out of Actions to spend. Etc. I truly appreciate how these questions never seem like accusations and also how the other player not only doesn't take offense, but shows contrition and appreciation for getting things right. You and your guest players deserve a ton of credit for how you handle these situations. Nicely done.
    - The amount of terrain you used in this game was great! I believe in the idea of "The more the terrain, the better the game." This was cool to see.
    - It was nice to see Del doing work! For whatever reason, some people (including well-known UA-camrs) are down on him. I understand the tradeoff negative of having only one model in Support as opposed to two, but man, I really like Del and it was nice to see him in action and being appreciated.
    - On Inferno Squad feeling oppressive ... good! Ok, just kidding, but as someone who feels like playing against Kalani is pointless, it's nice to see that maybe I now have something I can take against Kalani to fight fire with fire. ;)
    - That said, I'll point out (my opinion) that for all the fussing over how good Inferno Squad is, it was, by your own admission, your error late in handling Hask that cost you the game. You had it won, but opted to chose a play that was more risky. While I appreciate the appeal of a more cinematic move, objectively it was probably the lesser choice, and it cost you. Not saying you shouldn't go for the cinematic option, just saying that there needs to be perspecitive when we evaluate how good or bad a squad is considering our own choices.
    - OMG, I feel you on this: "My own stupid actions..." Yes. Dear gawd yes. Losing is fine, but there are two ways of losing that I can't stand. Bad dice in the face of good choices, and my own stupid actions. Like I said, I feel you.
    - Related, nobody likes to hear "dice were in your favor" or "the cards liked you" when things go wrong. I know, I know, it feels like that sometimes, and it's hard to keep our frustrations in check, but I'm just saying that it feels like sour grapes. I should know. I fall victim to it plenty. And I feel bad for my opponents when I basically am saying to them "You didn't beat me. Luck beat me." :shrug:
    - A rules goof: When the Sergeant used Inexorable Advance to move Del, Del had to Dash, not Advance, which was what you correctly did. He only takes damage if he actually Advances. He Dashed. No damage. This is confirmed in the official AMG forums.
    - Did you feel that not having any Stormtroopers in the list made the Sgt a less useful choice? What might you have taken instead?
    - The importance of taking chances and using visualization skills:
    At one point, Iden was moving near Rebel scouts. There were measurements, including tool(s) on the table, and she was adjusted a few times to get to the desired spot. Not allowed. You put the tool down, then put the moving model on a spot. One time. You don't get to check several positions, because if you do, you are using the base a measurement tool, which is pretty much top of the list Not Allowed Stuff. I really like that we, as players, have to eyeball things and then put the model down once and hope we were right. I creates tension and rewards a set of skills that some players are better at than others. I get that we can always change rules for our friendly games, but if you are trying to showcase, or play by, the actual rules, then this sort of check here, check there, evertually go over here thing is not legit.
    Anyway, that's that! Please keep these videos coming. They are fun to watch, and great food for thought/learning opportunities.

  • @bkwingfield44
    @bkwingfield44 28 днів тому

    Loving the videos and the additions of who is going and abilities they are using! One thing I noticed about your gameplay though is that you are resolving the defender’s expertise/abilities before the attacker’s. The rules about attack timing has the attacker going first when resolving expertise/abilities during an attack

      @bkwingfield44 28 днів тому

      I got towards the end of the video, and it seems like you guys corrected it😅

    • @AegisbrandStudios
      @AegisbrandStudios  28 днів тому +1

      We actually always resolve it correctly, we just tend to prep what our expertise results will be. It always goes through all the pertinent steps, though.
      When there is a lot going on with both rolls, though, we do slow down and take it step by step to avoid confusion.
      Otherwise, we use a bit of fast dice to speed things up

    I'm loving the image overlays of characters and the abilities being used. My only requests would be to leave some of the up a little longer so that can be fully read and to move the fade transitions to the image file and not full scene. I'm not sure on what editing software you're using but will make this look so good man.

    • @AegisbrandStudios
      @AegisbrandStudios  29 днів тому

      Both scenes and images have the fades attached them to avoid jarring transitions, and smooth everything out a bit more. Otherwise the character images stays on screen until their activation (or involvement) has ended

    • @DaveyGravy523
      @DaveyGravy523 29 днів тому +1

      @@AegisbrandStudios Sorry, I meant the text images for the actions being used. Its fading out the whole scene when they are removed. Its a little distracting with the very regular fading out and back in again during play. If you move the fade to that single action image file it would look great!

      As for overhead shots, unfortunately due to hardware limitations, it is not something I am quite able to do. As of right now, this is all a single camera process. I am actively trying to make improvements when and where I can, so hopefully it does not take too long for stuff like that

    • @AegisbrandStudios
      @AegisbrandStudios  22 дні тому

      Due to issues with storage, I had to make a choice on 4k vs. 60fps at 1080. Basically, at 4k, the raw videos were around 80gb, and were taking up way too much space on my current storage solutions

    II like the new overlay, I agree that the constant "blinking" is very annoying, so I hope you have indeed found the issue that caused that. I also hope you bring this to the Marvel videos, as there are so many abilities in that game.

    • @AegisbrandStudios
      @AegisbrandStudios  29 днів тому

      The plan is definitely to port this style over to MCP videos, as well. I just need a bit of breathing room in that schedule, as right now they get filmed, and pretty much go live the next day, so necessity breeds expediency.
      A buffer of two/three weeks would give me the time to do this, though

    Just watching - Inferno squad are scary.
    The first activation with Iden though - She doesn't get to dash herself with "Today the rebellion dies" its each OTHER allied galactic imperial scout. **This is incorrect as pointed out below!**
    So she wouldn't have been able to cross the whole board and take that point so not quite as oppressive as she appeared.

    • @AegisbrandStudios

      Check out the last line in her tactic ability. After each unengaged scout has dashed, the last line is "then one character in this unit may dash"

    • @jamesloder8652
      @jamesloder8652 День тому

      @AegisbrandStudios it's not a typo. A typo is when you accidentally type "rouge" instead of "rogue." You, on the other hand, made up word which doesn't even exist. You also consistently switch "die" and "dice," and use both improperly. Listening to you misuse both of them repeatedly is maddening lol. I get that you do this on your own time, but the moment you start publishing content and asking for money is the moment you no longer get to say "it's just a hobby."
      If you can't take criticism, maybe you shouldn't be posting content to the internet.

      @jamesloder8652 I can take criticism just fine, as is evidenced by multiple years worth of videos in which I take criticism and feedback quite earnestly.
      You have decided to act superior because I made a typo (adding an additional s to losing is a typo), and use the term die colloquially, and used it as a way to judge the content as a whole.
      So, again I say, move along if it upsets you that much
