i'm not condoning what that biker did, however, the amount of people lane hogging, which is also an offence, causes people to get frustrated and do stuff like this to get past them, some do it deliberatley because they think its ok !! please start doing something about the lane hoggers, its a points and fine offence too !
Totally agree
It is but us bikers are an easy target unfortunately. Id argue the biker was in better control of his vehicle, more aware of his surroundings and overall safer than any of the car drivers he passed. But there is no scenario where the officer would agree. Its sad is what it is
@@iainsmith530 what you said about the biker being in better control ect..wouldn't matter if he,s knocked off and ends up six foot under ..like the policeman said its lucky he didn't end up dead..I ride...I,very seen people's stupidity towards bikers I,ve also seen alot of bikers riding like Muppets pushing there luck till it runs out.
@Paul true, I'm the same, but in that situation I'd be fully aware that cars can move over suddenly, people are idiots and I ride on that assumption 👍 if I get taken out that's on me. If I rode to 'what if' I'd rather be dead cos there would be no enjoyment for me . Simples. My opinion, we are all entitled to it
@@iainsmith530 True but the biker is the one who would end up dead.
" that motorcycle is doing at least 90 gonna keep an eye on him" car following at same pace ignored 😳
edwardm9227 Our police are only human. They have to make a 'split second' decision. They can't chase two people at once. That officer, by saying what he said to that motorcyclist, probably made him think & could well have saved his life.
Should he even be riding a bike with all that stuff on his face. Surely his vision will be impaired?
Aye I've never seen someone playing tipping point on their face before
It’s easy to ride with a bee hive on your face if you’re naturally talented
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fair play to the copper for not crucifying the bloke
How many vehicles travel at 80-90mph on the motorway? This cop is most definitely a jobsworth.
He didn't do him for the speed. He did him for the manner he was driving.
Right after biker passed unmarked polices car, a car past him at the same speed and he didn't care. Only the biker gets punished..
i think its the fact the biker kept undertaking and overtaking while braking the speed limit. i sometimes go past police a bit fast and they usually dont care but if you start weaving in and out of cars then they will chase you. speed/reckless riding/driving is a lot worse than just slightly speeding.
He's such a good officer, I hope that he trains new officers as well.
The cop complaining about undertaking, proceeds to undertake
The Police often have to take risks in order to do their job, it's why they are highly trained advanced drivers. Using your logic then the Police should never exceed the speed limit to catch someone speeding? Then how would they catch them?
You probably know this but are just anti-police and take every opportunity to bemoan them, even when you're completely wrong.
@@CraigNiel The cop doesn't seem to know that undertaking is not an offence even at 90mph.
@@CraigNielnah pal I'm certainly not anti police. Police still have to stick to the rules they enforce on others.
@@BlahBlahBlah961 That's just it though, they don't. There are lots of circumstances in which the Police are allowed to break the rules in order to catch criminals. I thought this patently obvious.
@@mikehunter2844 Undertaking is an offence. Passing on the inside isn't.
There's nothing more dangerous for a biker than doing the same speed as people in cars behind him
Got no issue with undertaking if done with decent distances. The amount of people that just sit in the outside lane not overtaking anyone is ridiculous.
The biker may have exceed the speed limit but the undertaking is not an offence. The cop should read up the Highway Code.
I'm a biker, and idiots like this get us all a bad name. Yes, cleaning up the mess must be a nightmare for the Eme services 🙄
richardgiles2484 You are more wise than edwardm9227.
If you're being undertaken you're in the wrong lane. Drive on the left unless you're turning right or overtaking.
fr these npc cars just create traffic from thin air
If the left is clear ahead, stay in it and overtake hoggers that are in the overtaking lanes.
100%
Man can we send 98% of our crazy cops over there for some proper training and anger managment?👮👮♂👮♀🚓
i crashed on my motorbike when i was 18 only at 15 mph i flipped over with the bike and it smashed my hip. luckly i broke nothing but it bloody hurt! go race on a track at least youll be safer and get them airbags that deploy if you come off
@@KentRoads ikr how the fu$@ do you even crash at 15mph.
Brilliant copper thankyou!
90 ??? Yup in first gear
Exactly
This a a very big wake up call, My wife has now told me at 72 i can no longer ride, thats ok i never rode a bike like this fella and i lived,
Oh it doesn't matter about the 1 series passing you literally a second after?
Appalling riding, yet he is safe. I don't understand why it's always the riders fault, when most accidents with bikes are caused by car drivers.
Holy molly the drama churned up in the lol
great officer. what area is this
M53 i think
"That Audi tried to move into the inside lane" So what? If the biker had have been overtaking and the Audi tried to move into the outside lane, would the cop have pulled the biker in. The Audi MUST give way to whatever is in the lane he intends to move into. Cop should go on a refreshing course on the Highway Code.
Biker was well within his limits. This was nothing more than the copper holding off in the hope he would catch him going even faster. Jobsworth.
Legal limits not his limits. How do you know what his limit is?
@@philipkay8116 thats for him to decide
@@FattyOn2Wheels Every hospital has patients that over-estimated.
Wouldn't surprise me if he's a police man riding the bike most of these programs are all set up rubbish. I've seen people worse than this it seems like a slow day if this is on the program
More police on the roads are needed, I’m sick of seeing car that aren’t really roadworthy on the road
The only time you see the Police are on the Roads going for easy targets the Motorists
nah there's enough pork on the roads
The problem is not ending in the morgue, its spending the next 20 years imobilized in a care home being fed through a tube.
BTW, if a cop asks you why he pulled you over, best not to admit to an offense, just say 'doing your duty, I guess', or 'for an opportunity to discuss the road rules with me'.
How many cars did he see doing the same speed?
I watched the episode and obviously i ride a bike and would never do what he did..but give him his due he held his hands up..admitted fault and conducted himself in a pleasent manner..got his ticket and went about his day.
Bit of an eejit considering the pints he had already accumulated. Deserved a ban imo.
If the biker got points on his licence it would have been for excessive speed. Nothing else.
Jobsworth 2 faced TW%&TS (personal experience) shame the biker got stopped :(
The police do a brilliant job in the UK, it's the courts that are too lenient and a joke in this country. Just a driver retraining course when he has 6 points anyway. He clearly isn't a safe and competent rider or driver. The retraining course is just class room based. Why can't they put them on a RoSPA short course for riding instead?
Ture they are more likely to get hurt
Undertake was dangerous. But car shouldnt of just be sat in the outside lane. 90 is really not that big of a deal. And if anything probably safer for the biker getting away from cars where the driver isnt paying attention.
Driver retraining course,no points?
"Gixxer brah" has a UA-cam channel on which he routinely posts videos of him traveling 180 mph -- UA-cam won't remove them.
Biker did nothing majorly wrong.. 90 on a 70 limit (so actually 79.. 10 percent plus 2mph) is nothing on a bike tbh. Undertaking on a bike, not like undertaking on a car.. bikes are quicker more agile. This cop is just making a massive deal out of it for the telly. Plus he seems a bit of a .. well.. usual copper if you catch my drift
Give your head a wobble fella, your logic is way off course.
Yes, the only thing he did wrong was excessive speeding. Nothing wrong with the undertaking.
@@mikehunter2844 really?
@@beaufighter245 Yes really. No offence in undertaking. The Highway Code says so.
@@mikehunter2844 it is legal but not a safe practice. Common sense prevails I guess.
Driving nowerdays to most people is all about speed and how fast you can get home regardless of the risks and dangers. Not about safety. I just don't get mentality.
Anton Alan Partridge sullivan
The positive side about bikers is that they don't wear skin tight lycra
Just dress like power rangers instead lol
Yeah imagine coming off a bicycle at 50mph with just Lycra
I prefer the Cops US tv show, no pixilating, just raw shame.
Both the Police officer and the Biker made an illegal dangerous manouvre whch could have resulted in a fatal accident.
Undertaking on the left is downright dangerous, Id really expect better safer driving from a traffic cop, hopefully his superior will tead this and reprimand accordingly... As if...
Police officer has advanced driving skills and is permitted to break the normal rules of the road if he feels there is an imminent risk of a crash. I suppose you will want ambulances to stop at red lights next yeah? 🤷♂️
It's legal in some countries to overtake either side. Personally I think we should adopt that system, people would have to be a lot more alert and aware of their surroundings for a start
@@iainsmith530 that’s in cases where there are multiple lanes and is not intended to be used as an overtaking manoeuvre. It’s for when there is heavy traffic and the overtaking lane is moving slower than the inside lane. It’s not illegal to pass any vehicle on the inside lane. It’s illegal to drive dangerously and that’s what the cops will argue here. Don’t get me wrong, I hate people who hog the overtaking lane, but I’d rather pull up behind them and ask them to move out of the way rather than run up their inside into their blind spot. I’m lucky enough to live in a country where filtering is legal so the way I see it, no point in trying to overtake every car possible when you can just skip them at the next set of traffic lights 🤷♂️
@Lar Graydon fair enough. I became a better and safer driver when I passed my bike test so maybe new drivers could be educated on other transport types, then move to educating current drivers too. I think being able to pass both sides would be safer, and if that means on a two lane road also, so be it. If people can't handle it, should they be driving? Though that theory should stand now imo. I do wonder how people are able to pass a test when they seem to have no concept of lane discipline 🤔

Motorway driving UK - Rule 268
Do not overtake on the left or move to a lane on your left to overtake.
No points, he should be disqualified! Bikers think they are on a track weaving in and out passing people carriers driven by mothers with children on board and they feel like they are the next world super bike champion, let them go to the Isle of man TT and see how long they would last!!
He wasnt weaving, he was undertaking because people are lane hogging in the over taking lane
TT that's where a lot of them hone their skills 😅
