Than you Damian for showing Tanjung Benoa. I will be back at my home away from home . Tanjung Benoa , at the end of August , first time since 2019. It is very quiet on Jalan Pratama , very sad to see so many empty shops and restaurants empty . Hopefully they will start to open again as the year continues, and hopefully many people will come back to the Island Of The Gods. Keep up the great work mate, hope to catch up with you when I am over there ! Cheers, Rolf
Damian thank you for filming this ❤️ so many people think Bali is back to normal but it’s NOT. As you rightfully filmed. We have stayed in Bali Tropic many times. Also the north of Bali amongst other areas are struggling 🥲 Thanks again
G'day Damian and Winny....your vlog from the Tanjung Benoa area was very timely. During my recent discussions with my travel agent, she said it was worth considering looking at staying in this area of Nusa Dua during my next visit, so thank you for this "peep" as it has helped greatly in making a decision, now I will investigate hotel/resorts in this area. Have a good day, cheers Gaz (WA) 😎
Hi Winny!!! ❤ And I just want to mention, Damian when you say the word 'probably'...It's so good the way you pronounce it!!!... 😍 Sounds like "bubbly . I get excited and think of Champagne!!! 😄😄🥂
there are 36 flights to bali from Australia daily at the moment.most stay in Seminyak legion and Kuta.the last two or three week have been school holidays in Australia and they say about 350000 aussies went to bali.maybe have a look in Kuta.but we really enjoy your vlogs especially when you go into the country side.
Just back from Nusa Dua had a great time there. Most open plenty of spas and restaurants with really good live music. Shopping. As always you have the option of day trips or busier nightlife by driver or the more expensive taxis.
Thanks Damian for this vlog. Once in a non-touristy area where we could look over to Serangan Island. We saw some people flying Paragliding from Serangan Island and over the water and a large Oil tanker ship which my friend Oka said was built in Indonesia .. The second time, my friend Oka had a meeting at a hotel down there and I was on the beach out on a pier waiting for him. Otherwise just passed on the way down to southern Nusa Dua.
Last night, in Jakarta, the restrictions were reimposed for anyone without a booster shot (the majority in Jakarta). So this means we cannot use the MRT, go into malls, some shops (including Papaya), nor visit public offices. We have boosters booked, but my experience to date has not been without further delays and problems. I have been waiting for over 4 months for my passport from the UK (another horror story), but now I cannot collect it from their agents (based in a mall), nor get an exit re-entry visa. My mother in the UK is on her deathbed (whom I have been unable to visit for 3 years) and I have been snookered yet again by unco-ordinated restrictions. I am sure that Bali is going to find itself in a similar Catch 22, which will needless to say will have an impact on tourism.
@@iDrive123 They make a huge difference to me being able to pay my respects to my mother, as her only child. Then early next year if I am forbidden from entering Immigration I will be deported to a country where I no longer have any connections and certainly no home. Deportation is not the minor things we believe it to be and given that my residence has been my second largest investment in Indonesia after my homes, it would bankrupt me.
@@TheMonkeys They have made certain that it is impossible to contact them. One little trick is to insist you give them an application number, which their agents in Indonesia don't issue. If you manage to get through they promise to call you back and don't.
Thanks Damian for showing us Tanjung Benoa.👍🤩 My vacation starts next week at Sol house Benoa.🌴🍹😎🥰 It's sad to see that some restaurants and shops are still closed, but I hope things get better soon.😟 Thank you very much.🙏 Many Greetings 😀
Thanks for sharing this video n d current tourism situation in Bali. Most of d sectors from tourism industry were badly hit by d 2 years of pandemic n lockdown, everywhere. It really takes time for revival.
Here in Malaysia we the locals are trying to boost the tourism industry, but how much can we spend on a holiday when the cost of day to day living is rising and now even our government is considering a measure similar to MCO to control this current wave of corona + influenza A + HFMD %...
A few shops and cafes open as of last week so it's picking up. Refurbishment happening in time for big G20 in November. Giordano Uluwatu Sogo and a few others open plus Starbucks an Indian restaurant and one other eating place. Money changer of course with security and taxis on site. I enjoyed my time there despite my first impression.
Every country is struggling not only Bali! But with all vaccination mandatory they limit them self.. look Mexico the never had any covid mandate , no visa requirement for 3 months and they are flooded with tourists. Infection rate is not more as USA or Indonesia. The other problem is like some people mention it that airfare and traveling are expensive.
Hello from CA. Wish the high-end resort hotels would be returned to the Balinese for protection of their culture. Without the Balinese and their strong Hindu culture, tourism wil not survive! Stay safe.😎
Hello. I always look at your videos because my wife and i have booked a holiday in Bali for three weeks starting on 27 september . Let's hope that we still can come to Bali because everywhere the numbers of infections covid are going up and up . I hope that the government will not go back to the rules like two years ago and last year . It is of course because of covid that the tourism in Bali is going still nog good but also the fault of the goverment in Bali-Indonesia . To much and to long strikt rules . I am a little bit affraid that with the rising numbers of covid infections they will again install a lot of rules to enter Bali . For example put again masks on outside ( wich i have read that some politicians would like to install this again ) There must be some rules of course but not to strict . Otherwise a lot of tourists will not come back to Bali and a lot of people who are working in the tourist branche in Bali will suffer . I hope that at the end of September we will be able to come to Bali with the same rules as now and can see the island of the gods in al of her beauty . ( We are not people who stay in Kuta or Seminyak , but we want to see soething in the country side of Bali ) Let's hope . Greetings from Belgium . Keep on doing your good work .
The other side of Tanjung Benoa was very busy indeed two weeks ago with water sports. People queuing for all activities. Many family groups too.

Thanks 😊
Nusa Dua and Canggu are the upmarket areas but to isolated from Local wayungs. To far to walk to buy breakfast or even a kopi bali.
Yeah correct

Boosters don’t even make a difference. They’re pushing a 4th shot in Australia now.

Sorry to hear about your mother bud, I was going thru hell doing my passport last time during 2021 but luckily i made it within a month (miracle)

My friend please come to grand mirage resort..and take it some video over there
Are you inviting me ? If so I could come over

Total nightmare on the way to Bali. Bali easy as. Return trip smooth sailing. Maybe it's getting better now.

This could be an embrassment for the Indonesian government when G20 kicks off . 😒
They will avoid this part as the road - peninsula have a dead end and simply nobody will pass this part of Bali so nobody will notice
G20 ongoing. Ministers just visited. Lovely area.
