Amazing episode and a great setup for a fantastic and very satisfying finale.
Please play more than RDR2!! I loved Detroit: Becoming Human! More of games like that! Or even play Fall Guys. That would be hilarious.
I can’t believe no one made the connection that Thaddeus took some Badd Medicine.
Well, considering it made him seemingly immortal, I don't know how bad that is.
lol
Hes gonna turn into a super mutant!
Exactly. I truly believe 💯 he's turning into super mutant, not ghoul. Hope im right, but we shall see...
@@jenloveshorror your definitely right. The Dr said "you won't have to worry about radiation anymore".
But radiation still effects ghouls. It still kills them... just not as fast as humans. The more radiation they take in, the more medication they need.
Mutants are immune to radiation. Hes definitely becoming a super Mutant!!
Which is extremely ironic. I know the actor from the show "Superstore"
Superstore
Super duper mart
Super Mutants.
How ironically perfect
It really is such a clever bit of writing, the way the show set up the red herring that Vault 4 was targeting Lucy and Maximus last episode only to turn everything on its head this episode. It recontextualizes EVERYTHING in Vault 4. The room with the label "test subjects" in the very beginning didn't indicate they were drugging Lucy and Maximus, it was literally just the old room where the original Vault 4 would collect new victims by way of the hospital. They weren't trying to indoctrinate Maximus, they are genuinely nice people who are willing to let in other outsiders as per their tradition and give him a chance to live in safety and comfort. Even the eventual realization that what we thought were creepy experiments done on their own vault dwellers turned out to literally just be genetics passed down by the original test subjects who rebelled. The whole thing is so funny and smart.
Yeah exactly. Even their creepy strange ritual where they all dress down and cover themselves in the ashes of dead people and drink blood... we just assumed that's what it must be and these people are savages and cannibals. But thinking about it in hindsight; during the mass in Christianity and during Eucharist, it is being preached that the bread and wine that is being consumed is the body and blood of Jesus Christ. If you just listened to it without context, it sounds like Christians are cannibals. When they are changing "we cover ourselfs in the ash of our loved ones" Lucy and by extension we the audience assume it's literally the ashes of dead people. But in actuality it could just be completely normal ash, and what looks like blood could just be grape juice (the dressing down to be completely naked tho, that's just weird :P).
They were so good at the misdirection that I've seen people *keep* believing they're bad, even though the show clearly explains it. It's kind of like the situation with Maximus's character. The writers are so good at leading viewers to a conclusion that people disregard any future events that contradict that conclusion.
Okay thanks for explaining I got everything but the last bit lol
I love how the vault dwellers of Vault 4 had so many signs of being evil, but even while trying to be evil they can't stop being helpful 😂
at this point i'm firmly convinced that they are in fact Canadian!🙂🙂🙂
Wait you get that they're not evil though, right? They're the experiments that took the vault back from the evil scientists.
@@davidperkins6752 The Vault 4 experiment was “our researchers overreach in their scientific efforts, and the Vault gets resettled by people who couldn’t care less about continuing the experiment.”
I swear that opening with The Ghoul threatening that guys son for information about Moldaver felt like something straight out of Inglorious Bastard's
That misdirect with Vault 4 just letting them go with resources until Maximus came in was hilarious 😂
I was gonna say, I kinda think that, with a little tweaking the details to make it about finding out where the Enclave defector was, or what he looked like, that whole scene would have been a perfect Ep 1 scene to introduce the Ghoul instead of the coffin scene.
But it works good there too, and plus the coffin scene has the feral ghoul exposition
It's straight out of "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly." Like, basically a direct quote. That's an intentional homage, too. Same as the title card introductions ("Lucy" -- "Maximus" -- "The Ghoul") in the first episode.
I love the sound of The Ghouls gun. That "THUMP" is so bad ass.
Talking about sounds, the sfx used when Lucy smashes the Raiders face with a blender is 100% grapple gun from batman arkham series😂
@@TheRealBillix Awesome catch
Isn't it refreshing to see a character with a secret (Maximus) and he just tells the person who needs to know rather than drawing it out pointlessly for drama.
100%
But... he did drag it out. He lied to her already, this is him finally coming out with the truth. He's done nothing but lie since his introduction
Exactly he's been lying. And he tried to kill the last people he told the truth to because they didn't react like Lucy. Maximus is nothing but a self righteous coward. @@destroyerofnirn3537
@@believeume122 The last person he told didn’t merely “not react like Lucy,” they effectively made the same promise the last person he ‘let’ die did, that Maximus would _die_ for his actions, even if he returned the head.
And he hasn’t “only” lied to her. He ‘traded’ her saving his life (releasing him from the immobile suit), for him saving her life (actually giving her the RadAway he said he had).
And while he could have been quicker/more efficient in stating the dangers of the surface (might have offset the bridge scene), he drew down when she didn’t, and took the core and suit to save her (when he _could have_ just committed to staying safe where he was).
@@destroyerofnirn3537 Right. But most shows would drag that on and on and on. He fessed up to her in a moment that felt right AND it created no drama. How things usually go versus crappy shows where it drags out and then there is a big falling out for the extra drama.
Thaddeus saying he sucks without a scope, to me, is like in the games. if you specked into rifles, you aren't gonna be very good with pistols. and as we recall, thaddeus was able to shoot the gulper and save maximus back at the lake.
thaddeus' build is a sniper, so of course he's not effective with pistols lol
The Oak's reaction and facial expression to the "broken" foot was on point with mine. 😂
Aaww, the weak stomachs of men...lol. I love all that gross stuff if done well. I truly think us women have a much higher gross out tolerance. Just an opinion. Please don't hate❤
Hell no, as a woman, I personally cannot stand gore, blood, vomit, none of it! It’s not even that I have a weak stomach! I feel a visceral reaction like hearing nails on a chalkboard.
Lucy has that Vault Rizz
I respect you guys for not only reacting, but also spending some time in the video to bring your insights and opinions
Nicely said!!!❤
So ive been a fallout fan for a long time and have seen many a red rocket in the game and it somehow NEVER OCCURRED to me that since cars are nuclear powered, they're COOLANT stations not gas stations. Love that you caught it in this.
I know 404 is a girl but I still feel it is a bit ironic given that red rocket is also slang for an erect dog dong.
Somebody call a snake oil salesman because bad feet are BACK!
I love that they included the radio guy because every Fallout game has one. Just some dude who never leaves his home and runs music 24/7
I love how they used the same hacking style exactly like in the games when norm hacked the computer before going to Vault 31. The attention to details in this show is insane❤
To be fair to the guy who turned Thaddeus into a ghoul, I can't imagine Thadd would have survived otherwise. That foot had to be infected, right?
What makes you think he will turn into a ghoul?
@@CriticalCipher I don't know, maybe its the fact that when an arrow pierces his neck and he pulls it out, his neck flesh turns into ghoul skin. He's obviously a ghoul now. A normal person would've died to that arrow.
@aaronhackler5266 dunno... I'd like it if what he was injected with is the FEV and this is just the start of his transformation into a super mutant.
@@aaronhackler5266 Last I checked ghouls don't regrow limbs but more importantly there isn't a serium that can turn you into a ghoul besides the radition drug Hancock did but it's implied that drug is rare and gets you super high. Now FEV on the otherhand is green, can be injected using a jet like inhaler andsuper mutants are not affected by radiation and heal super fast and can regrow limbs. And the transformation is shown to not be instant. None of the characters in the series seem to know what a super mutant is yet so makes sence why they guess ghoul but it makes mire sence if he becomes a super mutant
Interesting. That makes sense. Thanks for the extra info. @@CriticalCipher
Thaddeus getting turned into a ghoul unknowingly from the Chicken Man will never not amuse the hell out of me 😂 "I never should've trusted a doctor who smelled like that" gross 😂
Don't think he's a ghoul, but rather evidence points to him turning into a super mutant. Can't wait to see which way it goes.
@@jenloveshorror either way, hysterical. I hope he stays himself personality wise, regardless, because Thaddeus is hilarious 😂
I'm betting the experiment in Lucy's vault is behavior control through morality teachings. "Your vault prides itself on doing the right thing." So 33 was most likely "let's teach everyone to be super good people"
As someone who watched the whole show week one, been enjoying the rewatch with you guys. Much love ❤
FINALLY someone made the Al Snow joke. Every time I watch this show (and it's been many times in many reactions) that's all that's running through my head.
I've been waiting to hear this group say CHIPs and Erik Estrada!!! I love that I can count on you to know the important things from an 80s childhood. 😆
He used to wear California highway patrol uniforms, now he has new California republic armor.
Heh Thadeus got Badd Medicine…
Guys I think the entirety of Maximus and Lucy's time together has been the first date 😂
Poor Great-Uncle Peter 😢😂
If only Lucy and Wilzig had listened to Dr ChickenLover in episode 2
Just let the dog eat it!! You don't need those pieces of foot anymore 😂
Love it.. these fellas truly crack me up w the giggles when they are so easily grossed out. I love the gross stuff if it's done right, but maybe it's just me. I know anytime they are gonna watch a scene like that, I'm in for a great laugh & these fellas never disappoint in their reactions!!
Thank you for recognizing Eric Estrada ❤️
7:17 With that seemingly throwaway joke, go back to episode 3 and re-watch the moment where the gulper attacks Maximus in the water, and Thaddeus snipes it from the riverbank. When I first watched that, I was like "that's an odd reaction for an animal." Foreshadowing done well.
Something to add to Dave's comment about Norm... Now that Chet is over in Vault 32 - NOBODY KNOWS WHERE NORM IS!! If Norm gets into trouble, there is no one to help him! Chet is the only person who knew Norm was looking into the suspicious activities of the vaults. How long will it take before Vault 33 even notices he is not there? It's not like he has a job anymore with all the raiders dead... Also, remember that Stephanie is from Vault 31. Her becoming the Overseer of Vault 32 is not because she (probably) killed the raiders. Remember Norm learned that all the Overseers from Vaults 32 and 33 came from Vault 31.
Steph is from Vault 31, which is why she was promoted. I’m guessing that Vault 31 is a Management focused vault, so Vault 32, and Vault 33 are the experiments.
I like how this show followed a story game format. With the random npc interactions, the consequences of making in game decisions. Had maximus not saved the weirdo doc, thad wouldn’t have gotten his foot healed later on. Lucy choosing to save maximus in the suit. Giving the fusion core back or save vault 4. It all mimics in game decisions that could have outcomes on the story.
Just in time! A much needed distraction from a boring shift. Greetings from Spain!
Cant wait to see more about Norm , didnt see.much of this actor since ender game !
Nice Al Snow reference lol
Love to see a reaction of Leon The Professional from 1994, You guys rock and love the reactions long live Al Snow and Head
Eye patch + power = Bond villain
Ugh it’s like you guys knew I had a rough day at work this is such a treat to come home to😂😂
The Finale will blow your minds
Loved your DBH "Connor is that you? " & Al Snow references, 6:51 Quinn to Answer "get those away from me" 🤭 & good moment of Oak playing the Violin at the end creds lol 🎻 even though they been getting close friends, still didn't expect love story between Lucy & Maximus but its nice to see, Thaddeus reaction finding out his ghoul haha 😆 & these cliffhangers really keep ya hooked! & liked hearing all your guesses for the last episode! I bet it'll be a good one!
I think ur spot w everything except the ghoul theory w Thaddeus. All the signs indicate he turning into super mutant instead of ghoul, but we shall see. . Fallout lore can be confusing at times❤💞❤️
@@jenloveshorror thanks for your comment! & ooooh that's interesting theory! Indeed we shall see what happens in the final episode of the season!
Amazing timing, I was just looking for something good to watch!
no its because steff is originally from vault 31 as every other vault leader is from yall lol not the rat poisoning 💀
I’m pretty sure that it was Norm that poisoned and killed the prisoners. He was the one bringing them food every day after all and they were killed with rat poison mixed into their food.
Steph was picked as the Overseer of 32 because she is originally from 31 like all the other Overseers.
I seen some people say this show is silly or doesn't make sense. But the game is meant to be a satire. Nothing makes sense. The premise is dropping bombs on your own country so... anything else is peanuts from there
"The premise is dropping bombs on your own country"
That's not the premise.
One could argue that thaddeus took some
BADD MEDICINE!
38:27 little did you know...that's actually a way to die in Fallout 3 lol
Ive been waiting for a reactor to make an Al Snow reference during this show.
I really enjoy watching you guys. This is such a Great show and Fallout is such a Great game.
The Ghoul channelling his inner Ramsay Bolton: "Oh you thought ...?"
ONE More episode thank you for this one very excited to watch this one with y’all”
Interesting that Erik Estrada character is a lead farmer. It just made me think of Tropical Thunder When robert downing jr said he was a "m***f***ing lead farmer". Just a random thought I know it means nothing to the overall Fallout thing. Just felt like sharing.
I love this series and I love your reactions to it! 😁
The violin music in the game will drive you crazy, until you learn how to turn off the speakers at the castle.
Buckle up for the next one, guys...what a GREAT series!!
Having played the games, you usually get a few interesting moral choices.
Do you want to be the Good guy or the Bad guy?
Being the Bad guy might make your own adventures easier (or harder) but one choice might be the more morally correct one.
Like Lucy telling Maximus to return the core. Things could have been easier for them with Maximus in the suit (the way the story progressed it probably didn't matter if he was suited up or not). If they encountered combat then having the suit would be great! But Lucy also knew tht taking it would doom Vault 4 as they'd have very limited power and very low odds of finding a new Fusion Core to replace. The morally right thing to do would be to return it even if it would make the rest of their encounter and combats harder.
She also added a bit of a RP (Roleplaying) reason in that she thinks her father would not want her to take it.
I love your reactions guys 😊
Hey, Guys -- What also might make for an interesting reaction are those five two- and three-minute cartoons that are an extra on Amazon's Fallout page. They're clever, and provide some interesting background information.
Why in the world would you say keep the fusion core? She just said the people can't live without it.... They did absolutely nothing to them. Actually helped them. This is why you can't trust people.
Im excited to see yalls reactions next episode 😌
Ah yeah. The curse of being a good aligned character. Have to give up that power core just so those people can live. And give up the shiny power armor.
Lucy - Isn't the Brotherhood the good guys?
Maximus & Squire- eeeh?
11:24 oof. This is my rewatch with the reactions and… oof. That was a tough one to hear the second go-round.
Thaddeus has a terrible luck stat
Notice Mason has a Capt. Levi POP! nice!
My theory is that Stephanie & Chet are basically Nancy & Ronald Reagan, (something I predict will be further developed in season 2.)
We are so back
Of course you're going to be left with some questions at the end...they have to have material for season 2! But they will answer a bunch in the last episode. And you might just get a few NEW questions...
I dont think Thad is becoming a ghoul or a super mutant. Ghouls do heal with radiation, but they have never had Wolverine speed healing. I believe the doctor gave him a homemade version of the Healing Factor serums that were introduced in Fallout 76. There are various that give you dofferent abilities with the drawback of you now being a mutated human. In the game, the serums are cured by taking Rad Away which heals radiation and you keep them by remaining radiated. So i think thats why the doctor told Thad he no longer had to worry about radiation
The last Ep is exceptional, quite a lot of questions answered for sure
Thx for the reaction
My biggest question is How does the goul feel about Moldaver now? Because she’s the one that originally told him about what his wife was really up to. So does he hate her or is neutral with her?
I just wanna recommened Outer Banks as another show worth watching/reacting to. Have a great day guys and thanks for all the lovely content you put out.
drop that episode 8 asap please 😂❤ can not wait for the last one
Awesome theory guesses....
But... i dont recall any of the games ever really delving more into how ghouls happen....other than they are mutated due to radiation...
More of a 1950s hyperimagination version of hypothetical reality... same mindset that created the Hulk... gamma radiation doesnt turn you into a sometimes green monster... it just dissolves your DNA and you die... like Chernobyl.
Anyhow...so ghouls are just radiation-mutated humans... the drugs the Ghoul was taking may have been stuff like Mentats (Intelligence boost). I dont recall the games ever mentioning a way to stave off turning feral (unless it's in Fallout 4, which i haven't played)
Whatever Thaddeus took was something else altogether probably...
In some of the games, there is the "Ghoulish" perk you can acquire, which makes you heal because of radiation, like a ghoul...or the Rad Boy perk which does similar.
Apparently there is one ghoul in F4 who claims he became a ghoul after taking some experimental party drug that gave him the high of his life. People are speculating it's FEV instead of ghoulification but hell, Bethesda's been so deeply inconsistent with ghoul lore it could be anything
Yeah, not really sure what with the magic potion to turn someone into a ghoul, haven't seen that in the game. Bottle caps, on the other hand, you know it's the currency, right? And the outfits of son and dad, look no further than first picture for Fallout: New Vegas
i cant wait for these guys to react to reacher
You are really wonderfull reactors ❤! Smart, funny and compassionate! Please don‘t feel like you have to increace your content output and just keep your level of energy (i see so many reactors burning themselves out to produce more and more, while making it tedious to watch them beeing exhausted).
Just 1 (tiny) point of critisism: your Movie playlist is a bit of a mess (lots of videos missing)😅 AND I WANT TO SEE THEM ALL!
You guys wouldnt know this unless you played the games, but it's waaay more likely Thaddeus is actually turning into a super mutant, not a ghoul. Ghouls dont regenerate limbs and stuff like that
Oh Vault 4 is the best 😆
the opening scene of this episode, with Erik Estrada (from CHiPs), is very similar to that of the villain's introduction in the 1966 film "the good, the bad and the ugly".
Ghoulism is a specific condition, but it has multiple causes in the games. Some are caused by a serum, but usually it's just an effect of radiation. Not the most scientific explanation, I know, but this was video game logic so it didn't need to be. As to Moldaver being a ghoul who just hasn't degraded, it's possible but unlikely. The degradation happens on its own, though it does seem to accelerate the more a ghoul has to regenerate. It being 200 years, I don't think Moldaver could be a ghoul who hasn't degraded at all.
You guys should watch deep impact
I really want to see you guys play fallout 4.
Its possible that Thadius isnt becoming a ghoul. Its possible that he got infected with the virus thats turns people into Super Mutants.
If he comes back to the show next season we will see.
you can’t tell me that intro song isn’t from ark survival evolved
Y’all should play fallout 4 once this is over!
Maan im gonna be sad next week when you are done :(
LFG!
Highly likely that Vault 4 with their surface foragers & organized nature likely has many spare Fusion Cores, especially that they didn't try to get it back. Also, on a production and story note, they probably didn't want Max in the suit for the rest of the series.
Reac to bird box
React to' Aavesham' Malayalam movie
I think Thaddeus may be actually turning into a Super Mutant. It would explain the rapid healing as he transforms, too.
Well, FEV has different effects on different people. It only turns some into super mutants. Some it does turn into ghoul like creatures.
Hey guys, is Reacher on your list of shows?
Hey guys, I've been diving through your channel ever eince the Fallout series began, and I just can't wait to see what else you guys bring to the channel.
(I would love to request Shrek the Musical and Legally Blonde the Musical to continue those series, and the Dragon Prince, since it's made by the creators of Avatar and Korra)
Y’all should react to the “Step up” movies. Really gets you in a groovy mood.
At the beginning of the episode, the two guys with metal detectors weren't looking for caps. They were looking for bullets, so they could melt them down to make bullets which would fit their weapons.
So we get that final episode today as well, right? Lol
Good observation for the liquid thaddeus took not everybody made the connection it was the same 'ghoul liquid'
great reactions ! upload fallout reactions faster ! AND GODZILLA X KONG IS OUT😎
i think Thaddues may be a Super Mutant instead of a ghoul...
I agree 💯!!!❤
This show is the bomb!!! ;)
