I found David Tudor’s phone number in the book when I was 16 and called him up and he answered. I was so nervous. I introduced myself and asked if I could talk to him about music. He said come right over! I only lived a few miles away. Anyway, I ended up visiting him over the course of 10 years, he was a major person in my life. I got to work on a production of Rainforest IV with him n 1973,
@@jackiboi307 thanks. David was great, had many dinners at his house, used to drive him to the airport when he went on tour with Merce. He wrote me a nice letter of recommendation which helped get me a full scholarship to graduate school.
