Hello! I'm the creator of Greed Mode Improved and I just want to say thank you so much for showing off my mod! I lost motivation working on it a while back, mostly due to things I've been dealing with since the beginning of the year, but seeing people express how much they like it in the comments and seeing someone I've been subscribed to for a really long time now recommend it to his viewers means the world to me and gives me the motivation to start working on it again.
and i want to thank YOU for making this mod i cant stress how much i didnt like greed mode because of its unfairness and basically no reason to do things such as going to the curse rooms or finding the secret rooms!
The only wave that actually gets me tilted is a wave where like 8 deaths heads spawn+ some kind of other enemy and I’m playing lost or tainted lost and can’t wipe the whole floor. It just seems incredibly unfair to have truly invincible enemies
@@SU76M not completely. Because floors are bigger on hard mode, you de facto get more charges for active items and more opportunities for room clear rewards.
@@SU76M greedier is worse than hard, enemy waves are way faster than on greed and are overlaping unless you have op items that let you clear waves pretty fast, final boss sucks and you get less coins so less items
@@gameguru8 Hmm. Honestly I didn't think about that at all. Okay, maybe you will get more item chargers, but I remember that hard mode reduces room reward chances, so it compensates increased room count or even overlaps it.
i always was relieved to have a troll bomb wave, not only did it mean i didnt have to fight enemies for that wave, but the bombs would kill enemies of the previous waves too
Another mod I'd suggest is purely a meme mod but I think it deserves a mention. Its called "Senator Greedstong mod" and as you expect it gives ultra greed a new sprite where he resembles armstrong (compleate with nanomachines in the 2nd phase) the boss music is changes to It has to be this way from MGR:R and it also plays some of armstrongs mid fight voice lines. If you like the meme/the game I recommend the mod.
Personally I’m a greedier mode enjoyer. A coin enthusiast. I complete greedier mode with every character I unlock before even doing a regular run with them. There’s three things that suck about greedier: -the first floors are way too hard. You can’t have fun or sometimes life when having a bad starting item. You have to start with a good one and restart over and over which is really bad game design. -tainted Lazarus greedier -final boss boring man just give him more hp and remove his scaling. Maybe even random stats each time you fight or arenas him to keep it interesting idk.
I have never agreed with someone more than I agree with you. Plus finishing greedier with every character before playing hard is the best way to play imho
Now I'm curious: since the Planetarium takes the space of the eventual angel or devil room, does that mean that if a Planetarium spawns, you can't get an angel or devil room?
i love that the greed improved puts the greed machine on regular floors, rather than having to finish the entire run just so your machine could blow up after inserting 5 coins
Greed mode actually added a whole new gameplay and is enjoyable Greedier, however, really feels like it was made only for the achievements. The mode feels more unfair than hard. Honorable mention to lost v2 where not getting hit can be really tedious. Specially in sheol where you dont see anything
Greedier has always been a pathetic excuse for a mode in this game. After torturing myself to get all the achievements I'm afterbirth +, I just went back to regular greed. I don't think I can bring myself to play greedier again with repentance
Alt Path in Greed Mode does also mess with the floor transition animation, and as you probably saw, planetariums spawn separately from the gold item room instead of replacing it
i think they should either change or remove the timer in greed mode. a lot of the time, especially in greedier, you just wont have the dps to be able to kill all the enemies in time before the next wave spawns, and you end up getting swarmed by tons of enemies.
I have been using greed mode improved since the dawn of time and man i tell you filling the machine hasn't been easier. It also makes it so much better and interesting just like you said
Great video as always! I have been using most of these mods already, but it's really cool you are creating more awareness! I've been actually having some fun with greed mode after using these mods. Barely played it before to be honest. Also some characters feel broken and other characters seem kind of helpless especially in Greedier mode Do you know if the greed boss skins work with the unique boss champions mod you showcased in an earlier video?
I already use most of these mods, except cathedral in greed mode cause of the compatibility issue. It makes going to greed and greedier mode so much fun. Even with both marks completed.
I love secret rooms rework in gm improved, think it’s the best part of it. Like, how often do you even get bombs in gm? This resource is super scarce. And all you can get for them is a couple of chests in shop if lucky (throughout the game), raise angel room chance (with a cost of fighting angel) and secret rooms that suck ass with just idk 5 coins or 3 tear downs. And you usually can’t know where secret room is so you have to spend let’s say 2 bombs on average to find it, and it very well may be through cursed room so bye to your health as well!
I might try the Improved mod tbh. I kinda like Greed mode as a breath of fresh air but I despise Greedier. Which sucks since you only really have to do Greedier for the unlocks because you get both with one win. I like the Greedier final boss but I hate how you can barely buy anything and maybe the waves are worse or it's the lack of items but i find myself much more often struggling to handle all the enemies in one room, especially on the first floor. With this added difficulty I also find myself less likely to even dare enter the curse rooms because it feels like a waste of HP. I personally actually like the troll bomb waves, it's a free wave where you clear all the other enemies.
I really hope there can be compatiability between the alt greed floor mod and cathedral floor mod. Maybe when both are installed, the Corpse floor can just be a choice to go along with the other choices after womb.
There's another Alt Path Greed mode Mod that's different from the Alt Path Greed mode Mod you showed. It's made by the same person who made Cathedral and Planetarium in Greed mode and it let's you go through the experience of doing the steps of getting to the knife ending and it even lets you fight Mother at the end of the corpse section.

I'd like to suggest the most important mod out there in my opinion, max scale mode, let's you customize the scale of the room individually, so you can actually see what the fuck is going on when you are playing greed mode. I use it only on big rooms so i can see the whole room, it's not to far away so you can play as usual but can plan ahead as you see what each wave spawns. I'd love to hear from you if you know what I'm talking about and if you tried it out. Anyway thanks for the great stuff you're doing!!
Well,I am one of the crazy people that play greed mode for fun when not going for unlocks so,as soon as I watched the video I used some of em so,thanks to you for bringing those to my attention,greed mode did need a bit of variety!

Just did the delete this challenge. First item room was an active that, on use, crashes the game. 100/10 Update, same run, second floor got an item that just kills all enemies in the room. 1000/10
Another mod which made greed mode bearable is Champion Rewards. Champions in greed mode now have a chance to drop pennies. 100% for normal and 33% for Greedier. Simple but nice.
Almost all these mods should be in the base game already lmao, I think all these for the most part would make me actually enjoy Greed Mode, even the aesthetic one lol
Just finished all greedier mode on all characters, I did not enjoy this but I was using all this mods and they made the experience less miserable for sure.
hey i feel like Edmund Mcmillen likes the devil more because there is no cathedral in greed mode you get more curses every time you beat the cathedral boss and in the shoel when you beat satan you get judas I hope that does ring a bell :\

Greed mode improved currently appears to be broken as its not making any changes to the mode at all. Looking on the modpage, the author has said its yet to be updated for the latest version of repentance therefore you may want to give this one a miss until he updates it.
Hello! I just released an update for the mod that not only updates it to fully support the latest version of Repentance, but also addresses a lot of issues the mod had. Support for Alt Path in Greed Mode is still screwy though. @.@
I really can't believe no one has made a mod fixing greedmode biggest flaw. When you play enter the gungeon, sometimes enemies spawn in the same room after you kill previous enemies, mechanic very similar to greed mode, however, there is one simple change that makes it from unfair shit show to a fun challange, indicators showing where new enemies spawn so you won't randomly crush into an enemy... WHY ISN'T IT IN GREED MODE? I'M TRYING TO GET GREEDIER MODE WITH T LOST AND I'M SO TIRED OF LOSING GREAT RUNS BECAUSE SOME STUPID SPIDER RANDOMLY APPEARED IN FRONT OF MY FACE.
Hey Slay, even at the time you made this video, Mega Fatty doesn't appear in Basement waves anymore in vanilla Repentance. You wouldn't need to get a mod for that.
Please tell me there is a mod that removes curses from greed mode... It's so an idiotic idea to leave them in for that mode. Not seeing properly in the huge arena or not knowing what items are in the shop is just obnoxious and aggravating.
i only use one mod in greed mode, the mod to avoid the donation machine explode, i hate when i want to donate some coins and the machine broke after insert two or three coins

I wish I was on pc to use it but to be fair I wouldn’t use it until I had every completion mark in greedier because that would be cheap lol.

The Planetarium despawns as soon as you hit the button, so no. Now that I think about it...I should probably have mentioned that in the video 😅

I enjoyed greed mode even before so seeing these just makes me happier than greed mode gets some respect

Its interesting how you can fight the harbingers in the cathedral, since technically they were sent by God to cleanse the earth
About planetarium. They just can replace silver door with planetarium with guarantied item. It may be more balansed, than spawn another door on floor.

Normal greed mode was fun because it was easy and kind of silly.
Greedier mode is just the purist challenge with more telefragging enemies.
The mods are nice yes but was that an almond milk+lokis horns synergy i saw? Extremely satisfying whatever it was.
