We're all just trying to not get eaten. I love it! I'm gonna start basing my life that way. Well, I made it another day without being eaten. I am undefeated lol
Nice! Those cuties were gorgeous. Next time you’re back East huntin wild brookies, look into the Monongahela National Forests in West Virginia. They’ve done a lot of stream restoration and if you like to hike , I bet you’ll get into some in the 10’’-12’’ range. 👍🍺
It would be cool to see shots of you removing the hook. I'm a new fisherman and I saw you wet your hand before removing the trout at 7:02, which I believe you did to protect their natural coating of the fish. Would love to learn as much as I can from you through the videos. I've been fishing without barbed hooks because I don't want to hurt the fish in any way beyond catching them before releasing them back to the river. Appreciate the content!
I live out there in the summers and have a friend that has a much smaller creek on his land adjacent to BLM land, so it is only fished once a year. I always do well and the cutts are just like those. You have experienced Nirvana now, Drew!
Another amazing video Drew! Nothing like having the river all to yourself at “Dry Fly Paradise”! That female you caught at 7:15 was beautiful! Headed back to the cabin after Christmas to fish Crane Creek. If I was in Wyoming I would add just one more day before moving on. 😎 Thanks again for your Chanel and your great vids!
New to your page. Awesome work. Also new to Huge Fly Fisherman who makes good fun type humor of fly fishing. I believe you are mentioned in the video that has the subject Regional Stereotypes. Pretty fun video. Enjoy
Wow! From NC, it’s definitely somewhere I want to see before I can’t, but atleast you take us along for the ride. Maybe someday soon, till then take care and tight lines.
Great video as usual. Good example of reading the water to find larger fish in holding water. I've tried that brew, have you by any chance tried the one called, 'Trout Slayer beer'?
I just started fly fishing this past summer Drew. I am hooked on your vids! Pun intended, lol. You make it look so easy. I hope maybe you come to NY next year on the Battenkill and I can observe your mastery in action. All the best and enjoy buddy because it sure looks like heaven.
It's crazy how quickly you'll start to make it look easy yourself. I've only been doing it 15 years. I spent nearly 25 yrs on the conventional side bass fishing. Tried it once and never looked back!
Why don’t you give the names of the streams? I would love to visit some of these. Most of the streams are pretty out of the way so not a lot of people will visit
Sweet stream, dang those are some fighting cuts, they really gave it to you Drew. Thank you for the updates on the fly journey in WY. Pretty sweet local you on to. Cheers and happy Holidays!
I go over my trip in more detail in the brook trout catch n cook video. But short story is I left July 31 and spent 9 weeks off the grid, fishing and recording as much as I could. Sharing the videos now that I'm home.
I have seen quite a few of your videos. I don't recall if you ever saw a griz or a black bear. I always hear you saying, "hey bear, hey bear." Did you ever encounter a griz in WY? Great video. Thank you for sharing.
Seen several but mostly at a distance so it's hard to tell what type. The trust fly shops video has a bear on camera crossing the stream about 40 yards in front of me. Imo, Hey bear ensures I never see any closer lol!
Beautiful area Drew, Wyoming is an awesome state. Have you fished the flaming gorge area yet. I remember some of the trout people pulled from the reservoir, so big.
I went over my trip in more detail in the brook trout catch n cook. But I left July 31 and lived off the grid for 9 weeks....with 3 weeks in WY, ID and MT. Recorded as much as I could and sharing each part now that I'm home!
I love your videos! I keep coming back to your channel and I cannot get enough of it 😂 My dream life 🥰
We're all just trying to not get eaten. I love it! I'm gonna start basing my life that way. Well, I made it another day without being eaten. I am undefeated lol
It's bumper sticker worthy lol!
I love Wyoming. It’s a beautiful place and not to hard to find a place to be alone. Nice video as usual. Thanks for taking us along.
Wyoming continues to surprise me!
Beautiful stream with some nice trout. Thanks for sharing!

Snake River cutts were the 1st cutts I caught way back in the 80s. Nice job!

Lovely looking fish, nice one. John from Scotland 🏴
Some nice ones! Great that stream doesn't warm up to much so it can hold trout. Beer and chili....recipe for sleeping in the truck alone. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Just crazy how good the bit is!!! The scenery is beyond amazing!!! Can’t get enough!!!
Now that's the way to top off a fishing trip. Beautiful stream, country, and cutties. Thanks drew. Enjoyed watching. 👍
It was definitely a great way to wrap up a trip! Thx for watching!
Splendid mister! Tank for posting.
Thank u very much!
Thanks for sharing, what a great day of fishing for you.. Gorgeous fish, well done. Fun to watch your vides on a rainy day..

Living the good life, Drew! Good one at minute 7. Luckily nobody came to disturb your campsite.
Haha...wait till the next part. Hint hint!

I totally get it Drew! There’s nothing better than the exhilaration of seeing your favorite camping spot empty :-)
Truly was excited to end the Wyoming portion here! Idaho is insanely good!
What an awesome day! I love hopper season in WY... or pretty much anywhere for that matter! Thanks for sharing.
Such a good day!
Wow! From NC, it’s definitely somewhere I want to see before I can’t, but atleast you take us along for the ride. Maybe someday soon, till then take care and tight lines.

What a great way to close out the state. Looking forward to Idaho which was my favorite part of last years trip
Idaho is incredible!
Nice fish, definitely some quality ones there. Nice water
Nice surprise for sure!
Great video as usual. Good example of reading the water to find larger fish in holding water. I've tried that brew, have you by any chance tried the one called, 'Trout Slayer beer'?
During hopper season. How important do you think it is to get your nymphs on the bottom ?

Beautiful Wyoming trip, looking forward to idaho!!! And then my home state of Montana!!!!!
Both of those were fantastic too!
Why don’t you give the names of the streams? I would love to visit some of these. Most of the streams are pretty out of the way so not a lot of people will visit
this just has to be the best channel, lol
Wyoming is great and all but I absolutely love Idaho. Can't wait to see whats coming.
Idaho is special for sure!
What kind of a camera mount are you using, head/hat, chest or shoulder strap clip?
12:01. That is poster material right there. Just a gorgeous view.
One of my favorite streams for sure!
Sweet stream, dang those are some fighting cuts, they really gave it to you Drew. Thank you for the updates on the fly journey in WY. Pretty sweet local you on to. Cheers and happy Holidays!

Small creek had some fish with shoulders!

I love flat land, being from florida. but, damn, the views are fantastic in all the areas you've been.
great fish too. thanks drew. appreciate it.
Thank u man, if your in the mountains there aren't any bad views. The drive to get to them is painful tho!
@@LooknFishy I bet. some roads must seem like forever long.
Those were all great Cutties! What was the average size? I'm guessing 15"-16" but not sure. Definitely well fed fish and they fought well.
They were healthy for sure and it was fun getting them to come up and eat!
What style beer was that? Pale ale, hefeweizen, Wheat? I always make it a point to sample the local brew when traveling.
Hazy IPA. Pretty much the only reason I bring a cooler on my trips is for the local brews.
Never a disappointment. Great trip.
Glad you enjoyed it

Crazy to find some healthy cutts in a that skinny stream!

Very similar landscape to ice land
Right on!
Cuts were really putting a bend in that rod.
They were fired up!

Notice how the hook removal is always edited out!
When was this filmed? I would imagine they are covered up in snow now and hoppers a memory
