Thanks to modders on Nexus Mods for allowing me the opportunity to recapture Mirror's Edge Catalyst's art and beauty. Head over to Nexus Mods, and you'll easily find the same mods I used. I'd link them, but I'm usually not at home and doing that by phone is too much work. Thank you.

I was really hoping someone made mods that added more real parkour moves like kongs and precision landings. I noticed you were able to do a fly away. What mod is that?
@@Scream-Theory hey! the backflip from a bar swing, right? it's not a mod, actually! while bar swinging, hold "Backwards" movement and hold the "jump" button and Faith will do that :>
you can make Faith roll backwards if you have her do a Skill Roll while facing the opposite direction from jump off point.

@@CT--qx2mq Exactly like he just said :D It's not a mod. Hold the backwards movement and jump button (S and Space on PC). I'll be honest I never knew about this either and it looks really cool

This is breathtaking. I feel like this is how Dice wanted us to experience the game but they were severely hindered by modern consoles and EA.
The game is still gorgeous in its vanilla form on PC (not so on consoles, sure). I've never stopped playing it and it keep impressing me everyday, even without mod. A shame EA published ME, otherwise maybe we could have hopped for another one. Catalyst is fantastic though so not complaining
This will forever be one of my most favourite games ever
What makes me love Mirror's Edge 1 and Catalyst's graphics, besides just looking gorgeous, is its "Frutiger Aero" aesthetics-the glass, gloss, water, and nature.
Back when this aesthetic was popular (before the flat designs which I really don't like), Frutiger Aero was a vision of the future. And here's Catalyst literally set in the future.
So cool I really hope we're gonna get a 3rd one !!!

@@highrunner3902 I was also in a huge depression when I got the first mirror's edge and it helped me, there is truly something special about the universe they've created. But bro trust me, I don't know what is the origin of your troubles but be strong, life is ruthless and the best thing to do is to kick its ass again and again !!!, so continue working on your channel or any project you have, then in few years you will be laughing about those hard times.

Again fans did better job than actual devs. Imo the colors are way more pleasing than in the og Catalyst game and it feels more like lovely Mirror’s Edge 2009. Very pretty!
woahhh...i'm gonna try these mods...Mirror's Edge is the only game that lets me escape my mind. Awesome vids btw. I've always loved to learn parkour. Any good tutorials you recommend me to watch...What gear gear to get etc? Or perhaps you could make some videos, but either way thanks for making these videos :D.

but for starters, i use Onitsuka Tiger 81 Ultimate shoes. just make sure to replace the insoles with ones that you prefer :>
as for tutorials, i use instagram and watch other people's technique. Oliver Thorpe has good parkour clips!

Before i was saying that catalyst graphics weren't beautiful, the colors where not used well and the architecture seemed off, but this mod makes it look georgeous and as beautiful as the first game's graphics.

if you personally find you're not over the game, then sure! it's very cheap and won't be going anywhere, if you ever want to pick it up :)
i personally find there is benefit moving to mouse/keyboard and makes it feel a bit newer
Besides that, the graphics options are where it's at for this game in particular ;0

If they ever make a new mirror edge I'll pray for a multi-player so we can all chase one another untill someone falls off the roofs.
More moves like Kong vaults that could help the gameplay feel more creative while adding to the gameplay or even some free running move that you can pull off on demand could be sick too.

I see the game maintains the vibrant colors when you cease running... I've still to find a mod that achieves that (the only one I found just avoids to make the colors vibrant while running, and ok, it avoids the washed out colors too, but it would be awesome to keep the colors always vibrant).

For the reshade, I used Crosire’s reshade mod.
The rest are from Nexus Mods:
- No DoF
- Red The View
- Green Trees in the view
- Better Screenspace Reflection
- No Vignette, horizontal bloom, or lens reflection (but this high in load order)
- No VEFX
If there are more, I’ll just edit this

Sims 5 could never
Looking back at Sim 4, their Anti Aliasing causes a lot of fuzziness and soft edges that blur the images. I don't know if 4 uses Temporal AA, but it's become painfully common to use in games :/
Even CP2077 uses it, and disabling it would cause problems with the game's Reflections
Also, I'm looking forward to Sims 5 🥳

to help you get started, head over to Nexus mods website for Mirror's Edge Catalyst. you'll easily find all the graphics mods, game mods, etc., as there aren't actually that many game changing mods.
You'll also need Frost Mod Manager, for which the alpha version must be downloaded. you can find it on their official download page which takes you to their discord to download the alpha version.
finally, i used Crosire's Shader to further boost the look of the game (but you have to play with the settings and find what you like)
that's about all i can offer! have fun!

I really wish they would of went through and made a sequal. They set catalyst up for it but EA prefers dice working on battlefield or whatever EA is making dice make now. I highly dought people like EA shutting down the catlyst servers.

hello, i think i dropped them, but there are too many links for me to find (im at work)- I recommend heading over to Nexus mods for this game and you'll easily find all of them since there aren't that many mods out for this game, compared to other games.
You have to pay for nexus mods don’t you
I will say the contrast is a bit too much though
@@turbo9975 if you played the series a lot like I do, the game's contrast *Edit* has always been that way. I can't say if it's their engine, their color choices, or maybe both.
The best I could do with ReShade was lower White point and Black point by only 2-5% on each end. Anymore and you may end up falling to your death because a very black/white pallet caused the environment to blend with each other.
also, you can save yourself that question and time by googling it and find out yourself, instead of 8 hours passing by lol 🥲
