My Honest Thoughts on the New 2022 TWR Line

- I'm sorry this took so long, but it's finally here! This is where I explain my honest thoughts on the brand-new Wooden Railway line of 2022! Let me know your honest thoughts on this new format. Do you think it's great, or have you seen better? And remember, this is just my opinion, so please respect my honest thoughts on this new toy line...or else!
Also, I'm NOT going to promise this, but I'll try to make my next top 10 by tomorrow or the next day, just before my California trip on Thursday. And on that trip, I'll be doing some family fun including my first visit to the Travel Town Museum in Los Angeles, California, which will be on Friday this week. I'll do my best to make a video about it, and I REALLY hope to find some 2022 TWR stuff at their gift shop! Otherwise, I may have to look in Barnes & Noble instead (if they'll have any).
Oh, and sorry for the poor mic quality on certain parts of the video. I hate it when that happens sometimes!

I totally agree with you! I'm glad they brought back Thomas wooden railway. But it's sadly one of the only good things that Mattel has done. But it looks really good overall.
Let's just hope it doesn't go away too soon like how they did with Adventures, Now don't get me wrong Trackmaster Push-Along is a good product i just miss Adventures, Cheers to the 2022 Wooden Railway
I'm certainly planning to get Nia, Rebecca and Kenji plus some Troublesome Trucks. I'm mixed on the wheels in terms of design as well. One thing I don't get is why Rebecca's tender has 4 wheels when there is clearly room for 2 more to fit.
Like most of the fandom, I quite like the new TWR. It may not be 100% in some places, but I'm actually glad Mattel has made something worthy of quality for the brand for once. Honestly, it's the best thing I've seen from Thomas since the Brenner years. Let's just hope they don't screw it up :P
Even if the original Thomas & Friends series ended (as far as we know). I can give this line a past. And hey the toy at least has the accurate design of Thomas and not his AEG design. And I've been pretty much been a lot busy and not active as much because of my college semester.
I'm glad that Thomas Wooden Railway is back but unfortunately that's the ONLY Good thing that Mattel has done as of now.

Pretty good thoughts on the New Wooden Railway format but for me I absolutely love it it's really amazing on the detail and I do like the wheels even though some people may not like them but I will respect that and for the variety of facial expressions are pretty good in my opinion overall I absolutely love this and if you wanted a Carly maybe you should have the push along Carly Crossing set because trust me it's the only way to get the set because of Carly I had got that particular set on my birthday and that particular set is still on eBay overall it's really nice and I'm hoping to get them in future.
I hope they bring back the Talking Engines, Roll n Whistle Engines, and Light up Reveal Engines
I didn't know what to think when learning that they were back but now I'm in to them and like I said before, happy to have these despite the flaws.

The battery powered line being brought back is a possibility but I don't think they're going to bring back the my custom engine line as that was only exclusive to the Thomas & Friends website. Plus, from what I recall, that line got discontinued some time before the original wooden railway line got discontinued.

I LOVE this new Wooden Railway line! It's so amazing that it's finally back after all these years, but I do have to agree with you though. It's kind of shocking that they're making a few All Engines Go! models for this new Wooden Railway line, even though I prefer the merchandise of All Engines Go rather than the All Engines Go show itself.
I definitely agree with you although I don't know how to feel about the faces on the new models. I'd rather paste the old faces on the newer models.
This is definitely a step in the right direction. Only good thing Mattel is doing. But my only problems are the bulky wheels and the longer tender engines. The longer tender engines don’t even fit on the older turntables.
I like the new items.

The different faces on the engines by default were mostly for adding variety
I think the Wooden Railway designs look neat! They're a lot better than the AEG toys and Thomas Wood COMBINED.
Overall, these new Thomas Wooden Railway engines look amazing although there’s room for improvements. The things I don’t like are how the inner section of the wheels stick out and I don’t like the faces for these engines. I just wish they had regular faces instead of them having do different expressions unless if it’s a variant. It’s nice that we get different sized engines now which is way better than what Thomas Wood gave us with the sizes of the engines. Hopefully we’ll also get some rolling stock too, not just engines. And I hope to god they don’t do this redesigned AEG BS for this new line.

I think this is soo much better than crappy wood. My only issue is the bulky wheels and the small turntable at tidmouth sheds.

On tootally thomas they have them listed as AEG despite them not being related to them.

I kinda like the box too, though I prefer the 2013-2017 box just so it’s easier to open.

The line "nothing is worse than Thomas wood" i agree with that. I may like them because... I like exposed wood... I also like paint chipped wooden models... why do I like the material wood so much? But at the same time they were nothing to the original. See if they just stuck to the original shapes of the engines and then made the wood exposed I would have no problem but its the fact that they are now WAY to blocky is what ruins it for me. Feel free to say your opinion.
The wood line is something that even someone who likes how mattel is handling the thing hates it or dislike how they did it. They literally cut corners with Wood and made it worser than the late 2016 Wooden Railway

Hit Entertainment has the best merchandise of Thomas & Friends, even better than Mattel’s.
Britt Allcroft’s Thomas merchandise was better too.

Maybe because it would make them very interesting, and it would be cheaper than molding a brand-new face?

It turns out the all engines go wooden railway items were never released
Well, to be fair, they MIGHT be released sometime this year instead of last year.
They brought back the old logo, but they rearranged the colors to shades of sienna to math with the whole concept of the line. *wood*

I kinda dislike older wooden railway, for frst the faces on old wooden railway does not even look like Model series, second is wheel configuration for example : Emily is in older wooden railway 2-2-2 what is inacurrite to the model series, they do not have great derail wich is a crime and they did not preduced great waterton station

What about the expressions
The expressions are good, but in 3D, they had more heart and effort put into them. But that’s just my opinion.
You know. I hope they keep the wooden range based off CGI but what they should do is bring back thomas Wood for AEG models. Make them the exposed wood versions so that they're like 2 different lines. It's probably a dumb idea but I guess it works a bit.
