Shelling Pre Hurricane IDA: • SHELLING Pre Hurricane...
In 2005 Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast as a Major Hurricane and over the weekend of August 27-30, 2021, the Gulf Coast was again preparing for a Major Hurricane landfall along the Louisiana Coast. As residents of the Louisiana coast braced for a 150 mile an hour hurricane, the first Major Hurricane of the 2021 Atlantic Hurricane Season, the rest of us were glued to the news. In order to document the shelling before and after Hurricane Ida, I stepped onto Navarre Beach, Florida on August 27 and was greeted with angry seas and storms clouds. A few days later the water calmed down and the shells began to roll in. Come along, let's go for a virtual shelling walk and see what we can find.

I was all over the Emerald Coast last week on vacation. Found lots of shells, but no Scotch Bonnets, Olives, Florida Fighting Conchs, Sunray Venuses, or Lightning Welks. 😭😭😭
We were just there a couple of weeks ago. Got a few shells on a shelling excursion.
