@@Lifewiththecanos I've struggled with these recently too so it is encouraging to know others can relate to the struggle. I keep setting my alarm early and still not waking up lol
We have been using the old TGTB math with my oldest and then she did the new versions of 4 and half of 5. My middle did old TGTB k math and part of 1 before switching over. And I just started my youngest on the new level k….but I’m like you. We need to switch. So my oldest I planned to switch next year but she was starting to dread math. We made a quick choice to switch her (she’s technically in 6th grade) and she is so much happier not doing TGTB math. Level 4 had tons of review problems and level 5 has tons of problems in the main lesson and it was all too much and hard for me to figure out where to cut things out. I can see that the workload is already increasing a bunch in level 2 with my middle and she is starting to not love math either. Part of it too is that the old math was super wordy but had tons of games incorporated . They helped my oldest a lot. The new version games are not the same. So I’m switching my middle to a different math this next school year and I’m going to go ahead and switch my youngest to the new math now since she’s barely started the TGTB math. They were both excited to do more hands on and games. I can’t wait to hear more about what you are switching to
We used our star spangled story a few years ago and we loved it. Well my oldest did! My younger two were pretty young. I loved that there were some crafts every unit and also it was more in the form of stories
Thank you for your insight! I am intrigued by the new math curriculum. I use TGTB Match k and I love it. But, I will be interested in seeing what other curriculums are like. When they are little, we don't have to do everything. I plan on continuing TGTAB LA 1, Math 1, adventures in Creation for science. Geography from Even moor. And for history, ,.I will teach creation, Noah ark and stone age through play and activities 👍🏼
I’m so glad TGTB math works for you. We love their curriculum but unfortunately the math just didn’t work for us. Their language arts on other hand has been a huge game changer for my daughter. I love that you’re using the Bible to teach history!
Is the new math Math With Confidence? We are switching from Simply Good and Beautiful math to Math With Confidence next school year. I looked at my Second Grade books and your picture looks like it.
We are going to be using basically all the same curriculum next year! Haha We are going to be doing God's Design Heaven and Earth for beginners, Answers In Genesis Bible curriculum, TGTB language arts, and we are currently using 50 States from Notgrass and love it. Once we are done with it, we will begin using Our Star Spangled Banner from Notgrass.
@@Lifewiththecanos no, we have not used it before. I recently came across it and decided to see if I could find any reviews on it and that's how I found your channel. I loved what I saw from the videos you shared and decided to order it.
Getting up and getting started is so hard for me!
Oh I struggle when I don't get time alone awake before the kids, but it is so hard in the winter to wake up early!! It's so cozy in the blankets lol
Yes same here! Lol

Is it math with confidence? I’m doing their preschool at home with my 4 year old and I can’t wait to start Kindergarten.

@@crystalh28 have you used answers in Genesis bible curriculum before? If not, I think you’re really gonna enjoy it!

Everyone keeps mentioning Evan Moore spelling. I really want to look into it. What language arts program are you using for your first grader?
It’s really a good program. We’re using TGTB right now and we really love it for LA
