Ugh and I swear that ALWAYS creeps me out, when your fighting a monster of THAT size, and they just STAND there taking the hits, because you just KNOW the counter attack is gonna be vicious.
J
Tell me about it
For all the hate the FFXIII series gets, this was an excellent ending few bosses. Was not expecting it to be so epic.
Kamuro Tetsu much better than XIII.. an old fat guy and a statue lol
And the very last one a giant sunny coin that poses no threat except for a countdown timer... 😅
I don't understand why Final Fantasy 13 has got so much hate.
This ending was rushed and random. It makes no sense that Bahamut was the final boss.
Fans donlike 10. Wtf are you talking about lol
It can't be finaly fantasy without Bahamut.
Late response but you are goddamn right. Same with Shiva. They make an FF game.
i'm sorry im not familiar with Bahamut but, why is it the final boss in the game? why is it seen so much, how important is it?
@@kona236 It's just one of the most famous monster (summon) of Final Fantasy.
Same with Tonberry,Moogles and Cactuar.
Finlaaaay
@@gabs207 rwoooosh
I love how the bahamuts cross their arms like, "it's cool, you're screwed."
The Caius battle on the grounds of Valhalla is so epic.
is so epuc than i play it 5 times in a row and im not tired im level 99 with serah and 97 with noel and i have the secret odin in the ruins
M8 that third dragon just coming out with its arms folded like a boss
Aren't the 3 of them bahamut?
Thought so
Darntsleat100 Bahamut means dragon king or dragon god
@@deathstar6998 Bahamut is the name of an old seagod. Technically is a fish-like creature of a stature that humans can't even compreend.
@@loremasterdasmodeus8285 Yes but his name translates directly to dragon king or dragon god.
You got balls by not using Medics, i had to switch to Solidarity all battle...
I used dirty fighting more often (SAB/SEN/COM), but yeah, it was essential for me to use Solidarity... :P
I remember playing this part with maxed out characters, monsters and weapons. I thought to myself, "Well Caius ain't that bad after all". but when the 3 bahamuts came along, I thought to myself "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU......"
Jet Bahumut is the leader( look at his boss stance )
Garnet Bahumut is the muscle of the group.( look at those biceps!!)
Amber is the brains of the group( look at him you can just tell he's calculating his next move)
Jet Bahamut:The Prep
Garnet Bahamut:The Jock
Amber Bahamut:The Nerd
Serah and Noel:The bullies XD
Dearra tate am I the only one that sees garnet as fang and Amber as vanille
@@demonofsadism7915 I saw Garnet as Noel, Amber as Serah, and Jet as Caius
@@angelocruz3577 i saw it as jet bahamut as caius, amber bahamut as Yuel and garnet as Noel
It's real-time and turn-based. Enemies aren't going to wait for you to attack to attack you, since it's all real-time (for example, an enemy could kill you before you can heal if you aren't quick). You need to actively attack, heal, do whatever you must in battle to win and it takes a good deal of strategy if you're not terribly well-versed in the game.
Turn based players will still complain
@@sorax2871 yep
The final fantasy xiii series will always have epic final bosses.
The music is just phenomenal.
It's the best point of the this game with the atmosphere
I gotta say, even though I wasnt much a fan of the game overall, the music was just so hype, especially caius's theme and the final boss music. Also on another note, Caius's voice acting is jus oh my damn I love it.
Liam is such a good VA!
Liam's voice makes me question whether I am really a man.
cangri1788 I really hated it too. I was never a fan of being forced to abide by a time limit. It just feels frustating!
25:26 Gigaflare and I still have three dragons on the platform. Yeah....I'm dead.
I feel you.
Havoctheend I hope you knew you could survive that with mediguard. at a high enough level
@@SteveTheBox You can survive Exaflare, even with 400 HP. You need to be on Sentinel to do that.
7:14 - Caius: Everything i do is for Yeul(You) - Plot twist, Caius was actually protecting Noel all along.
I love that you finished with meteor javelin.
This entire sequence of final battles was just plain epic and awesome! God the musics that plays is amazing too!
Me too, the music is really amazing!!
4:02 what a plan and moment also!!
I kept replaying the 3 bahamut battle intro just because of the music
+TheEarthBoundKid - 3953 listening to the song only and watching it play in sync with the battle are different xD
At 4:30, Serah sounds so strong and brave, amazingly different from the last game. She sounded like Lightning, I couldn't help but think of her when she spoke :)
It's both very emotional and extremely epic.
The 13 trilogy is fucking epic. I'd pay serious money for remasters/ports of the whole trilogy.
Nostalgia overload, there is something about the music that brings tears to my eyes.
I'm pretty sure that orange flan's special attack is a 'Fist of the North Star' Reference.
Omewamoshinderu
Them choosing 3 bahamuts was a really inspired choice for a final boss. Wasn't expecting that at all, and it was great. Also that last boss theme is stunning - Hamauzu's best work.
Unseen Abyss, great track.
wow... the final battle is quite epic.
Can you imagine being lifted up on a platform in the dark and then suddenly be surrounded by 3 dragons that wants to rip you to shreds??!!! Dang, I'd be scared to death o____O
It was astonishingly hard, one of the hardest bosses I've ever fought, I thought it was impossible (specially for the gigaflare and being alive more than two dragons, and the annoyance of the "Attitude Shift" by the Jet dragon when he was staggered, deprotected, deshelled and poisoned, God Fucking damn, that was really frustrating!), it's amazing how you managed to kill them without medics, congratulations!
The optional DLC coliseum bosses, especially Gilgamesh , are way harder. This one here is only difficult if you are underleveled. I was that too, but it's still not comparable to superbosses.
@@Vayne_Solidor Yup, it got pretty easy after I knew exactly what to do... And exactly what attack use at any given point... I think I was level 90 or something and I was still dying a lot in the beginning... I experimented with multiple patterns until I found out that I could kill them like in a couple of minutes.. For whatever reason I had to kill them multiple times in a row (I think I was doing a completionist run and some unlocks required to go back and killed Caius in all of its forms, although I don't remember super well), but you're totally right, the optional bosses like Yomi and specially Raspatil are insanely hard, no matter what strategy you use, and I tried some bosses in the coliseum but gave up after the chick with the whip that could summon multiple guards (I forgot her name... 😅).
@@D3K018 Raspatil I farmed for mats. You definitely need a better team and/or strategy. She is actually one of the easiest coliseum bosses. Gilgamesh is the hardest. Took me a long time to beat him.
@@D3K018 Nabaat btw. I may have to check what team I used for Gilgamesh. Valfodr 99 is also a hard fight. These two are really tough superbosses.
25:20 His attack was in tune to the music lol
Man, the final boss and its music with battle system together was dope.
Lightning:-waiting for bahamut to attack-
Noel:"SERAH!" -runs to protect her-,-falls into the water-
Lightning: Okay good i can trust him to keep her safe...now i better go save them...
Dont forget shes already in the cristal 😂😂
I actually liked XIII-2 a lot, and I actually liked Caius quite a bit, due to how much he reminded me of Chaos from FFI
Here's how I feel about this 3 part battle: Part 1- the most surprisingly easy fight in FF. Part 2- the most epic, advent children-like boss fight in FF (which I actually thought was the final one). Part 3- the scariest FF final boss I've ever played 0_0 Even after all I'd been through I thought; We're just two kids!! How the F are we supposed to fight THAT.
Just tried to beat the three dragons...I failed...
yeah me too.. the game does a akward jump of difficulty at the Endboss... it sthe same with FF 13 I.. i might just watch the ending vid.. i have absolutly no fun in just grinding for the Endboss... whats the point of that? either waste your time or be unsatisfied with the lacking endboss... not cool Squer Enix.. not cool...
***** How the heck did you survive Gigaflare with 2500 hp...? i got like 4000 but they barely surive, only Noel usually lives and the monster pet keeps dying all the time lmao...Serah and Noel both have magic resistance 15% and and plus 13% strenght/magic but Serah and the pet ends up dieng anyway...
kalliskivike switch to Defensive paradigms like Tortoise or Guarded Assault? Hope this helps.
ah Bound by Flame is as well soething like that :D the Endboss there was gruesome! but the whole game quite easy... but i think there it alsow depends on the story..
ThorgalsWalhalla I always switch to triple sentinels when they are about to do their big attacks...
I remember battling Caius with my Tonberry as my Commando pet... Good ol days :
18:40 - 22:06 Final Exam music at it's insanest >=]
Ive always wondered how Caius got Soul Edge
This was a really good movie, Thank you Omega.
Caius has the best looking weapon
Jet Bahamut is EASILY one of the best boss battles I've ever done in a game. It's one of the few fights that hits that perfect balance between challenge and fun while still having engaging mechanics and a pretty hype story to back it up. The FFXIII combat system was built for this kind of stuff, too bad FFXIII-2 didn't really have much of that outside of this fight and the DLC fights. Then again, I would play the entire game again just to do this fight if I had the time.
Much better final boss than FF13 or even lightning returns which I actually liked. This one proves you don't need a metric fuckton of hp to be challenging. I actually really enjoyed this fight unlike Bart/Orphan
Christian Townsend exactly.. 13 wasn’t exiting at all with an old fat guy and a statue as the final bosses lol
@@esklntgmail not even that, how about the little cry baby after them which is supposed to be the “real” final boss. I don’t know if that, Yu Yevon or Shuyin can get the “most ridiculous” final boss title.
The boss battles in Final Fantasy 13-2 are epic fights. Especially when they involve Caius.
Just noticed you named the flan Gilgamash XD
Sazh is the best pilot they have? Remember this dude crashed everything he piloted in XIII-1?
Damn lol I remember that shit too 😂😂
That was hilarious honestly
Caius is such a fantastic villain. He should've been in the first game, at least a small part. His role in 13-2 is epic. Best FF villain a very long time.
Just realized he’s the illidan voice actor for wow.
Sarah took that judgement blade like a champ
Hope: "*wave of hand and an entire army is at his bidding.*"
ive got to admit, this ending battles were pretty cool.
Love the music in the final battle with the TRI-Bahamuts
You know....I kept thinking about "I'll tear down the sky if it'll save her" when listening to Caius...
4:01 love that plan with the music!!!
This has to be one of the best endings in a game btw
When u see in the firsts FF if the come at the end of the count u die with Megaflare lol
Still cauis over sephie. caius can travel to the past, present and future imagine him killing sephiroth in his toddler days. lmao
Right
lel
That's impossible because they don't know of each other, and I don't think that they even live in the same universe.
@Dorey DNM
Not exactly. He seems to have delivered some sort of message to his past self but he himself cannot travel trough time. The Sephiroth you meet at the endgame isn't the same you met before.
It isn't properly explained yet.
This was an awesome game beat these guys years ago !!! Very awesome!!
There has never been a "villain" as awesome as Caius.
Go sit in a corner, Sephiroth!
Uhm, Ardyn Lucis Cailum good sir
I am so glad someone mentions this
This is one of the hardest final boss fights in FF games. Took me so many tries and extra grinding.
18:19 Oh hey, look. It's Drogon, Rhaegal and Viserion.
the scene of fighting with caius on the plane simillar with ffversusxii trailer
This game was so awesome
can't wait to see what the trailer will reveal!
Caius is such a badass villain! 🥶
He's up there with Sephiroth 👌🏼
My favorite boss battle so far in Final Fantasy.
Why suddenly we have Osiris, Obelisk, and Ra in Final Fantasy 13-2 ?
XD yugioh lol
Getting platinum trophy on this game was so satisfying!!
Except for the Quiz parts, and finding Amodar.
Yomi was quite the challenge since I had 159/160 fragments with a 99% completion back in Summer 2014.
noel would be so much fun to play as if this were an action adventure rpg
I love this game so much❤
17:58 Ansem really is setting the trend of having villains cross their arms.
funny how they continue to hold onto their weapons despite being unconscious before lightning came to pull both of them back to the surface.
Knowing that you can have all 3 Commandos focus on the same target with the Cerberus-X paradigms helps a lot.
What pardigrams have you leveled up by time you got to that battle? Because I can beat Caius when he's a monster, but I CAN'T beat him when he turns human the first time... please help!
0:33 wow the background just blinks out of existence gg sqex
for some reason my favortie part of this fight is when you beat his 3rd form, and he gets back up for more.
I love how Amber Bahamut is like, "Hmmm, how INTERESTING." xD He must be part Vulcan.
- Gigaflare (Jet Bahamut alone) = you'll take big damage, but you'll survive that, given that you have about one healthy party member.
- Teraflare (with 1 of the 2 Bahamuts) = you'll take heavy damage. Be sure everyone is healthy or protected well before this attack!
- Exaflare (all 3 Bahamuts) = instant death. Put the controller down and accept the agonizing defeat.
I feel like when they get knocked in the air they should go flying off the ship, not slowly fall back down, but then I just learned in physics is that things on something traveling at a given speed also travel at that given speed. Idk, does this bother anyone else?
This clipped looked AMAZING on my EVO LTE....
My favorite part is at 7:00......just love the back and forth
21:33 "Hokuto: Hyakuretsu Flan!"
(Remember's fighting final boss last Feburary) Good times
i have had this game for about a year now still havent played it, is it good any advice would be greatly appreciated i dont wanna waste my time on it
I can honestly say this was the most difficult boss I've played in a final fantasy game, he was worthy of the title. I went in with a fairly good party not knowing what to expect, had maybe 50 close calls, but somehow managed to prevail. Final time for the 3 bahamuts: 45 minutes. Epic.
I love healthy and challenging bosses, not easy at all but also not impossible to vanquish!!! the perfect balance
13 and 13-2 has the best gameplay
26:31 damn what move did Bahamut do there?
thanks mate
I wanna play this amazing game!!!
Please someone tell me the name of the track that starts to play when caius first appears in this vid! Epic!
That moment you hope Caius will really die and you wont need to face that Megaflare.
dont get me wrong i gave ff13 a chance and did enjoy it, was really wondering about this after the main story plot are there any side quests and if so are there alot cos thats what i really love doing thanks
Good! I'm not the only one that uses Noel as the leader!
When one Bahamut isn't enough.
omega what final fantasy and tales games have you made walkthroughs for
I don't care what anyone says, but this was truly of the more epic final boss fights I've ever done
It's just the truth...
I had that flare attack used on me - when all 3 of them were out :)
killed me in one hit lol
Hey i loved the ending loved it bosses where so cool how do i get to the secret areas like the other oroba
How much health does the final fight against Caius (not the three bahamuts) have?
Thanks!
All 5 phases of Ciaus fight are worthy of the title of Final Boss. I count them all as the Final Boss, especially the 3 Bahamuts
I like how Caius went (and succeded) to kill Serah in the first human fight, then went for Noel in his last human fight
The final battle reminded me of the final battle against Lavos in Chrono Trigger for some reason.
pure epicness
