i have a 2015 Golf TDI, which i bought used in May ‘21 from Carvana. it is without a doubt the best car i’ve ever owned. my warranty is through 2026 or 162k miles, and i’ve not had a single issue getting warranty work done at my local VW dealer.
these TDIs are some of the best deals in the whole used car market. incredibly durable vehicles, EXCELLENT fuel economy, and an unbeatable warranty…i can see why they’re in such high demand! if you’re in the market, definitely give these cars a look.

Y'all have fun with these. Mine needed a new urea injector, urea pump. My urea level sensor is toast, the large radiator fan is toast. The flywheel is about to need to be replaced.
If you're buying one I hope you have $6k on the side to delete the damn thing.

@Double J's List I'm not sure if the title being issued as a corporate fleet vehicle means the day it was first warrantied, but it may have been because I know it's the first owner that it's titled to or in service date so you may be right there not sure on corporate fleet vehicles but i know for sure for any other regular joe first owner its titled to is the in service date i believe; dont see why itd change for being a corporate vehicle though. Otherwise you forgot another nice fact. If when you look at the websites you listed in the description, the vw and audi diesel lookup website, if it only has stage one done of the epa modification, you can ride stage one out until 162k/11 years from first in service date, then get phase two of the emissions done and receive another 60k and three years I believe! Something you left out I thought I may add. So if you buy one with only phase one, you can ride that warranty out and do phase two and basically have a car under warranty until 222k/14 years.

I’m in Canada and I have a LIFETIME emissions warranty. I did not know this till I went to the dealer to get the exhaust flap. He ran my vin and told me it’s warrantied until 2050 or 999,999 km. I have paperwork to prove. It’s only on certain 2015 Tdi’s

@@youcef-antoinerouani680 the lifetime warranty isnt advertised anywhere. My service advisor ran the vin and said only SOME 2015’s….in Canada anyway. Go to VW to the service dept and ask. Can’t hurt. So far I got a cat, exhaust flap and dpf all covered. I’m at 440km now

So I purchased a 2015 volkswagen Passat 2.0 TDI SEL Premium in May 2018 with 21,325 miles. It shows "your vehicle was modified on December 8, 2017 // 21,303 Miles".
The car just hit 60K miles and it started having intermittent starting issues. It cranks, won't start. The in tank fuel pump is not turning on. I suspect it's the pump or fuel module. The module is around 300.00 and the fuel pump shows one for 130.00 and another for around 600.00. I suspect it's the 600.00 pump. I don't want to spend money if this would be covered under warranty. Any idea (today is September 28, 2024) ??? Thank you!!!!

You are still under the, "11 years or 162,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle’s original in-service date." You might have to fight with your local dealer a bit, and they might try to charge you a diagnostic charge incase it isn't covered under the warranty. Try to find out your in-service date. the dealer should be able to find that out for you.

My 2015 jetta tdi is good for warranty until June of 2026 or 261000km. I have a ways to go.
Question is I have a coolant leak..not sure where its coming from. Dealer said if it's not covered, they charge 155 to diagnose. Hoping for egr cooler..not waterpump!

I need some help understanding the warranty of a used 2013 Jetta TDI that I just purchased:
    original in-service date: 08/15/2023
date of modification: Apr 2, 2019 and 33,509 miles
Currently the vehicle has a hair under 106,000 miles. I am trying to figure out of i still qualify for the 10 year/120,000 mile extended emissions warranty. Does the 4 year/48,000 mile warranty from date of modification trump the 10 year/120,000. Thank you for the help.

    • @doublejslist
      @doublejslist  Рік тому +1

It’s whichever one is longer. In your case it’s probably the 10 year/120,000 from in-service date. Call a dealer to find out your in-service date.

Is it possible to delete all the emissions crap like urea if you live in a no inspection state?

Is it possible? Sure. It is federally legal? No.
