I like these suggestions. I would also like to see the navigation give more advance notification of lane changes/exits. I find it it takes the immersion out a bit having to focus too much on the navigation screen to make sure not to miss an exits as the voiced notifications are sometimes too late to make a control and safe lane change.
ABSOLUTELY it is so NOT-realistic with how the GPS works. Not anything like any systems that exist today, they give a heads up, a road name or number, SOMETHING! This is my number one request of SCS!
I generally like these suggestions and I do have few more to consider. 1. Regional weather patterns. You are much more likely to get rain in Seattle then you are in Phoenix so breaking away from the current static "Rain chance" setting we currently have would do wonders for realism. 2. Weights. Currently the weight system is superficial, no matter where your tandems are or how much you are hauling you are not going to be overloaded or ticketed ever. With the new sliding tandems feature we have the groundwork for making paying attention to cargo weights a actual thing. This is especially important in early game when you are more likely to have bought a cheaper single rear axle truck and can be faced with loads that you want to take but you are legally able to do so because of weight limits. You could take this to another level by making axle specs a change able feature when specing your trucks. A basic 12k steer axle comes with the truck but you can upgrade to a 13-20k axle for a increasingly high premium, same with rear axles. All of this can then be capped off with sliding 5th wheels which even by themselves could make certain mod truck/trailer combinations possible due to limiting clipping issues, that said sliding 5th wheels again play a role in where the weight of the trailer rests so you can be legal as far as weights go. 3. Random job lengths. It would be nice to have the ability to not be locked into so tight of a job length spectrum as it makes some cargo types never pop up and it feels like you are more on a dedicated route. Having in a given area the full spectrum of runs to choose from would help mix things up.
concering number 3, have you looked in options - Gameplay, average job length factor, you can set it up to 150%, this shoud give you every range of job available.
@@silent1mod That always seemed to be more favoring extremely long distance runs with fewer short runs though. I will admit that the setting description is vague in what any percentage is actually doing.
Or better yet how about letting the player repair their own trucks in their own garages so we don't always have to go to the repair shops. @TheGrammyJNewton
I love ATS, but there are some things that I need:, and yet they aren't implemented: - add an option to watch your employee on the road, when you pass them - add an option to display minor unnamed towns and cities on the map (e.g. Santa Rosa NM, Carrizozo NM, Needles CA, San Luis Obispo CA, Ehrenberg AZ, Walla Walla WA, Limon CO), especially when exploring the map with greater zoom, to navigate better - add fricking San Bernardino, where all SoCal highway signs lead to and there is nothing related to this city, not even a truckstop :D for me it is a blunder of SCS, even though the rework of SoCal is overall great, but this one thing stands out. - for far future plans: replace simple garage economy with buying land in the city outskirts and building own garages/petrol stations/warehouses/hotels/depots either to make it company-only or to make profits from it (and if we go on with it, then we would add contracts with other in-game companies to deliver e.g. petrol/diesel to our own stations, or truck parts to our services). This game has too simple & easy economy, and imo something should be made, so our trucking money (and mailbox too) would finally be useful.
I would like to see trucks coming in and out of the shippers and receivers and trucks coming to the truck stops to fuel working truck washes, different weather scenarios instead of downloading them, and one more thing last but not least there is alot of us like driving peterbilts and kenworths (the long hood versions) like to have the option of seeing the smoke coming from the exhaust pipes
I like to see more Tornado in Texas, High winds in Colorado and Wyoming. Chain up in winter season. Heavy downpoor rain, fog, Flying objects, flooded roads, deep covered snow, mud on dirt roads after days of rain. Wet roads that looks like ICE. All above is said in real life as the eyes of a real truck driver. Why not... in ATS?
With the dirt on the truck, id take it a step further and say - even just longhaul your truck gets dirty, bugs and crap all over your front grille and bonnet etc. when its any type of rain your truck gets really dirty (it always rains when you clean your truck irl i swear)
@anthonyleftwich47 maybe it's just me but no trucking company has ever ran without breakdowns I just wish it was more realistic I mean it is a simulator after all so add some realistic stuff u know
On the Subject of adding Pickups, I was actually surprised when I first started playing this game and it didn't have Box trucks. There are a lot of Companies that just use small box trucks. Also being able to do Custom logos without having to do a Custom texture would be great to. On the same subject as Logos, being able to put your Company name and Logo on your Garage would be great, along with the chance to see your own AI Drivers on the road, the games already tracking where they are.
The thing with AI drivers is that they always have to update it in real time in the background, which would make the performance worse. Also, what if they are stopped because of an accident or something?
It would be amazing if we had to do pre trips on trailer when we pick them up and actually having to deny a load because of a damage trailer or something like that
What I always wanted from this game is trailer unit numbers. Its always breaking the immersion when the trailer I'm looking for has a big green rectangle under it.
you know those traffic lights with the two sets of lights then the arrows for turning left? Yeah, why can't they make those blinking yellow arrows instead of red?
The thing that bothers me the most in ATS/ETS,is that we aren't able to see our companytrucks. You work and grind so hard in the beginning of the game to grow your company, buying a nice truck for your driver, and besides in the meny, you never ever see that truck or trucks driving. It would be so cool and rewarding seeing your trucks driving on the road or even be parked at one of your garages when they are on their break. I guess it would be a handfull to implement that in the game, but me personally,I miss the feeling of owning a fleet of trucks....
they did say that dynamic seasons can be a thing but its little complex for them apperently and its not a priority rn they are making new dlc maps for ets2 and ats in 2025 tho so thats exciting
For the one about the dirt on the truck, some people have said SCS cannot do that as through licensing rights the trucks must look spick and span at all times.
The reason for no dirt on the trucks is the same reason why we see no damage to trucks. The truck manufactures didn't want SCS to allow players to make their trucks look bad. It's why you never see a damaged truck, even in service stations.
Hello, it would be fun if we could take an empty or full trailer and make several deliveries, for example. I'm leaving from Mexico to Denver, we could have 4 or 5 shipping or pick-up spots to do.
something more challenging would be nice like maybe a true logging road real hills and just different types of trucks like truck and pup and maybe even add some decent looking tires
These are good suggestions but SCS will never implement mods the Pavel said that some of these items are coming while the rest are wishful thinking by mod authors. Here's what we need with Missouri right around the corner. One we need car carriers in the game unless you have a mod you cannot own a car carrier you will have to go to a dealership and pick them up. 2 dynamic loading for vans and also for tankers that way we can see what is inside the trailer. Three the option to open trailer doors as we currently stand we cannot open trailer doors or inspect the cargo. Four and we need this option before we can do dump trucks the options control the trucks hydraulics 5 we need driveable forklifts and the option to attach them to the truck. 6 we need LTL terminals Missouri is full of them. Seven we need animated terminal tractors this option allows you to uncouple your trailers so the terminal tractor can put them in the dock while you put in the lead trailer. 8 we need truck washes two of your mod will not work without a truck wash. 9 we need more hazmat loads and the hazmat system needs to be updated so we get more achievements. Number 10 since Missouri is home of some Rail yards and ports we need animated container cranes and the option to haul containers. Currently the only way you can detail containers is with a mod. 11 the generic container needs to be retired and we need different types of containers for different types we only have bromine tanks we only have tanktainers but we don't have refers, we don't have general purpose, and we don't have container frames. Also we need crane containers some of us want to haul crane parts later. And the finally the twelfth thing that we need is we need hydraulic dumping platforms or movable conveyor belts this option allows you to unload chip vans or potato haulers. This is what I want done this year in 2025. Map improvements clean up Reno it is a mess, put in Fallon that way Nevada can have more dealerships, for gosh sake puts in truck stops!, replace all the roads, put in Mesquite, put in Boulder and Searchlight, put in Laughlin, connect us 95 to California rework phase 4, get rid of those fake towns!, Put in Caliente, better detail Battle Mountain, put in Carlin, fill in the map, put in Wells, redetail Jackpot take out the humps in the road we are losing power as we approach major cities, remove all the gas stations on divided highways this is not a turnpike, put in highway 318, give Ely a facelift, clean up the assets around the city of McDermott, replace Winnemucca one on and off ramp is not going to cut it take out those ets2 era drop ramps the Carthoo put in and better detail US 95 that way we have better access in Winnemucca, and finally clean up the assets for Vegas and for Elko. Mark and his team hit it out of the park with the Vegas rework but they dropped the ball on Elko and Reno they did not even finish them. And don't get me started on Carson City that one is the worst. Nevada needs to be cleaned up before we move on.
If they added the ability for trucks to get dirty from dirt flying up off roads then they would have to add the ability to wash your truck at a car wash the reason they don't add realistic damage to the trucks is because the truck brand companies don't want to see there trucks damaged
