I have said several times that the only thing holding Aerosoft back from being one of the best Driving Simulators on the market is their unwillingness to expand their games with DLC like more trucks and map extension. Which if you don't know them and Tox2 make a bus simulator, On the Road Trucking Simulator and Truck and Logistics.
I live in Europe, but I honestly like ATS more than ETS2, it has more variation in landscape, you have all the different biomes in one country, that is very uniqe! and our platsic toy trucks cant compare to the trucks you have over there
With certain mods that give you a realistic Eaton BeamNG is now an EXCELLENT truck simulator, especially on the physics front obviously. It’s especially interesting to off-road ala Snowrunner with Beam’s realistic damage.
For a quircky type/real physics driving job-sim, i'd like to suggest "Motor town: Behind the wheel" and some more modern (but currently only roads in Berlin) Bus simulator that's in development but playable: "The BUs" It's using the Unreal engine and looks quite promising. Have a look at whatever tickles your fancy.
Motortown is the shit. One of the best 20 bucks you can ever spend. Ive seen that game evolve from a simple map with one small 10 road town and like 15 cars to a full on map with multiple major cities and heavy trucks and busses and well over 40 cars. Its all handmade now no outside assets. And its even more crazy its based on the area the developer actually lives with a pretty accurate representation. Definitly deserves a video on its own.
I've been playing ats for a time now, but since I got ets2 i think i have a new favorite, the roads are more challenging and I feel like the over cab trucks have more maneuverability. That star trucker game seems really good too, hope I can play it soon
Nice list. You forgot one other good oldie "Scania Truck Driving Simulator" I'm also a fan of those type of Euro Scania trucks because of the cab view which is not obstructed by the hood of the truck. Looks great in VR too.
Really good video (just subscribed). I would also recommend Taxi Life. It has improved greatly since it first released and is my go to driving simwhen not playing ATS/ETS/Snowrunner. Will be picking up others on your list when on sale. Thanks!
Love snow runner took me awhile to just get it . But some 🌿 after 8 and playing this game in a dark room with pizza in a recliner . I don’t drink but ppl who enjoy beer …100% relaxation and eases your mind from stress .
The thing about Alaskan Road Truckers is that its system requirements are crazy compared to the visuals that it offers. ATS and ETS 2 can be run on an APU just tweaking some settings, while Alaskan Road Truckers struggles to run stable on even more powerful hardware.
Even though the focus is different, I would also include the latest version of Construction Simulator. You drive diverse vehicles, and the gameplay mechanics focus more on building, but it still fills a similar niche.
Just as a note, i have Bus Sim 18 and all those annoying things you can turn them off and its really better, the people gossip, the trash in the bus, and even the fact that you have to give the money back for the tickets, i have all that off, i only drive through the map going to all the stops, only opening and closing the door.
and all that games, except for the first one, you can have it on ATS at least, there are some bus and bus station creators for the stock and custom mod maps, and it gives some good experience once you try them, that said, they come with some cost, sometimes, an expensive cost lol
0:24 It's the other way around by me. I like ATS more then ETS2 (also I played ETS2 just a few hours years ago) but I like ATS more cause it's so different to my home country based in Europe.
Alaskan Road Truckers sucks. Ive been with it since day one. The devs just dont care. It had potential, but lack of updates, every truck being the same, going pretty much the same speeds(youre limited to 55mph. Literally. Like the trucks wont go any faster, even downhill🤣), the bugs, and lack of actual content makes it a poor choice.
@@71Gaming On that note, i know one of the first major issues was the graphics settings wouldnt even save for like the first 2 or 3 weeks. You were just stuck at whatever settings. Theyve since fixed it. Mostly. Some of them like the frame limit wont save. At least visually. The limit applies but when you open the settings again, it resets to unlimited and you have to set it again lmao.
Last I checked people were complaining about the game’s AI and other incomplete features. Some even think 18 is better. I included 18 just to be on the safe side.
It plays decent in my opinion. Didn’t encounter anything outrageous or game breaking. Driving mechanics are fairly well. The graphics aren’t that great, and the world is kinda small that’s about the only things.
Which ones are on console. That’s one thing I hate. I love playing my pc and playing ATS but I just wish ATS was on console too. It’s easier to have time to play my console than it is my pc.
in the bus simulator game don't forget about crack heads homeless people because I drive a city bus for real this game does not have all the real situations out there
wish there was a bus sim where the payment was automatic and i didnt have to give the tickets out

This reads like an American wrote this.
@@giantpickle Lol hey maybe an American living in Europe! 😂
Australian trucks are the best
As another European, I completely agree!
While I agree the tech in Europe trucks is far more superior than North American trucks.

beamng's physics engine would make for an excellent trucking game
My Steam Wishlist just grew a bit. Thank you for sharing!

I love Motor Town. Haven’t tried The Bus.

Yeah I kinda like the euro trucks more!

I thought it’d be pretty similar to ETS2 so I just included that
Somewhat similar. But definitely more focused on navigating through tough obstacle scenarios and learning how to control and park your truck.
Really good video (just subscribed). I would also recommend Taxi Life. It has improved greatly since it first released and is my go to driving simwhen not playing ATS/ETS/Snowrunner. Will be picking up others on your list when on sale. Thanks!
How was Taxi life improved since release?
I live in Europe and i love ATS a little bit more, but both games are amazing, thanks to SCS🙏
I would add SnowRunner. yes it's bit different and it's not just cruising around but that's my go to game if ATS gets boring
Love snow runner took me awhile to just get it . But some 🌿 after 8 and playing this game in a dark room with pizza in a recliner . I don’t drink but ppl who enjoy beer …100% relaxation and eases your mind from stress .
I dont know why but i have this feeling when u was talking abt ets2, it felt like u making ets2 like a new game

The optimization is pretty bad 😭
I have a 4070 and struggle to hit 100 even on low. Its crazy.

Nice Video! Small Note: you say D-A-F for DAF and "man" for M-A-N. 🙂
That trucking space game looks like a vibe lowkey
I really want this game to come to console. We’ve been screwed by so many small developers, making trucking simulators.
omfg, star trucker looks like my cup of tea. DLing now
I can't stand AI voice videos but gave this one a like because it deserves it. Nice list.
Thank you, I tried using my own voice in the latest one.

Star Trucker is a hidden gem.

Yes exactly, you can turn whatever you don't like off

Yes, there are some bus mods for ATS that are good for roleplaying!

The render resolution wouldn’t change for me so I didn’t even get to try
Agree. i heard they have already moved on to the next project so you won't see many more updates for it.

Just curious why you chose Bus Simulator 18 over the newer Bus Simulator 21?
Last I checked people were complaining about the game’s AI and other incomplete features. Some even think 18 is better. I included 18 just to be on the safe side.
I would have to agree that 18 is the better of the two.
hate AI voices..
This AI voice over is actually impressive. I wonder which one is being used.
I was really thinking about buying trucking logistics simulator on my Xbox s is the game actually that smooth

ATS the GOAT 😊
Nice game
wow🥰🥰
Surprised I didn't see Snow Runner in this list
Only because it’s more off-road focused. It’s definitely a good game though.
Surprised you didn’t mention Snowrunner
I was actually thinking about that, but thought it’s more off-road focused
Sorry I can't do that Star Trucker
That's okay, it isn't for everyone. Surely you can try some of the other ones! 😁
Great
Star trucker I made after the movie. Just wish it was more along the line of things in the movie.
Oh you talking about Space Truckers?
@@71Gaming yes

Extreme Trucker 2
