How to REALLY fix AirPlay not working after iOS 17 update! Apple TV won't connect.

if you are unable to cast to your Apple TV AirPlay device after iOS 17 update, maybe this will work for you!
Just put a stereo cable in the headphone jack. That's it.

The problem with mine, it asks me to do the code all the time and sometimes I don’t have to do it and it’s annoying

Hopefully this helps for iPhone with lightning headphones but left them at work. Really not good enough from Apple to still be waiting in January !
