Love this story!! I always thought the final bit of dialogue was a bit cheesy though. I think he could have come up with something a little different for him to say. Maybe that's just me lol
"You fool! Warren is dead!" is my favourite bit of the whole story. I love it. What would you have "the thign" say? Now I'm curious. I think it's perfectly gruesome though.
Good read. I wonder if this is the first story to use a phone as a main plot point for a horror story. I also wonder what Warren saw. He says that he saw "legions". Legions of what? A thing talked to Carter on the phone. I always connect Lovecraft with Howard. So I naturally go to Serpent-men. Just waiting for their chance to rise up from the depths an conquer humanity again.
