You're a lifesaver I'm trying to get to that one bolt you were talking about I hope this works I ordered everything for this job that you recommended I hope it works pray for me
This is a needed video, so thank you to YT300D for making it, but the actual tool names would be helpful. The ratchet is a 3/8" drive with an 8" extension. The Torx bit is readable in the video, but it's a T-55 on a 3/8" drive socket. The two sockets identified are 3/8" drive Torx external E12 and E10. The conversion adapter is called an A-318 9/16'' Socket and Ratchet Wrench Adapter, the last piece is a Crows Foot 3/8'' Drive with a 9/16'' flare nut. When you finish your job, you should advertise and sell the tools as a kit for the next guy. Happy fixing!
It's been such a long time since I did the job that I honestly don't remember removing the exhaust on my GL. That was a 2007 CDI model. However, I just had a look at my 2012 Bluetec model and it looks as though it may get in the way of removal. I guess it really all depends on the model you're working on.
Michel Nadon , sorry, no part number. It’s just something that’s been in my toolbox for decades and I don’t even know when/where I got it. It probably came as part of a socket set. Try your local tool vendor. They ought to be able to source it for you.
I cannot thank you enough for the guidance, as this information helped me successfully complete the transfer case repair!
Thanks for the feedback! I'm so glad you found it useful.
Thank you very much for the proper info 🙏👍😀👍
