Great video and explanations. Do you have a towel pattern/video that uses a flower and feeds into itself and acts as a button to secure to the stove handle (No button towel topper)
No. That sounds like a fairly easy and cute idea. Maybe I'll figure that out and make one. Thanks for watching and for the idea! I have a couple of towel toppers. Anything I have is in a playlist.
When you poked a hole with awl it reminded me of back in the years when I was crocheting around stadium blankets or fleece what I did or used to crochet around them! Like I said it was terrible I couldn’t find anything that wouldn’t tear into the fabric I tried seam ripper it would tear , used an old crochet hook it got bent , even sharp nails that worked pretty good but very tiresome bcoz most of the times after I made 20-30 holes I couldn’t see them to crochet ! Everyone wanted their blankets crocheted & I would say “ nope I don’t do that !” About 3 years later in 2015 I went to Joanns had a coupon for 50% of a regular priced item not on sale ! I was looking to buy some rotary cutters then I came across one that was sort of ruffled funny looking , I asked a lady what that was for? She said these are must have, you put on rotary cutter then run around blankets , it’ll make cuts just large enough to crochet ! That’s a God send , I bought one have used on other projects, I now crochet baby blankets again! I laugh at myself sometimes when I remember using a nail to make holes but like the saying goes “ where there’s a will there’s a way !”😊
I have never heard of that tool. I don't like crocheting around blankets because it's such a pain. I was trying to hand sew an eyelet. Drove me crazy because the hole kept closing.
Wow, I’m a newbie to crocheting towels so this Bobby pin idea is awesome!!! Thank you!!!
I'm glad that it helps. I can't imagine not using bobby pins with towels. It is almost like magic. 🙂
