Can’t wait for career mode. Playing as one legislator in a party would be more fun instead of controlling the whole party. Means that anyone play as the party secretary must allocate resources to the state party to run a successful campaign
Great jobs as always! I want to add one thought though: although you both highlighted how representing a democracy is very difficult, I believe this can also be true for countries under authoritarian forms of government. Even for these countries, those in power must deal with issues of legitimacy towards the people, as well as ensure the loyalty of their closest subordinates. Therefore, topics like reallocating resources to secure the loyalty of subordinates, shifting funds from the military to initiatives that enhance popular legitimacy or the ability to pass certain laws are still challenges that an authoritarian state must face. It would indeed be nice to have the option to play as autocracies too, perhaps with the possibility of transitioning to democracies or vice versa.
Glad you enjoyed the video! Yes, what you say is true, there is complexity in other forms of government too and it would be intriguing to explore how these other states work. Still, Lawgivers II will probably stick with democracies for now, but who knows in future updates.
Most of the democracy games focuses on the Executive/Head of Government part. This is what I love! A parliamentary game of politics and strategy. Excited to play it soon!
I remember playing the first one, and just spending a bunch of time trying to figure out how to obtain absolute power after starting as a small party. In the end (through abuse of all the corruption mechanics) I managed to create a single party state with infrequent elections and a tiny parliament. Imagine that challenge will be far harder in the sequel, lol
3:52 - Chris Boardman. Thats meeeeeeee. Hell yeah, The updates are a bit small, I expect a bit more and more content. Im one of the early kickstarter backers. I hope to see the game improve.
What are the odds! Yes the development is going a bit slow, but considering there's only one person behind its understandable. Hope you liked the video.
We did not mention this but yes, that's quite annoying; for all the people who are playing we suggest to turn off the automatic updates. Still, glad you liked the game and the video as well!
I think the developer is focusing on too many aspects, hard to achieve since it's a one-man team. Still, Lawgivers 2 is certainly a unique experience worth giving a try. I hope you enjoyed the discussion!
That's awful to read. Unfortunately as we said in the video, the game has various bugs, at times game-breaking, but Damian is quick to release new updates and the bugs Dando and ai reported on the discord were addressed. I truly hope the issues are resolved and you can keep on playing the game!

That would be awesome and it was promised on the kickstarter, I am curious to try out such a mode
Look up The political process. It's what youre looking for.

Sometimes working with the opposition is constructive!
That was a brilliant opener 😊🎉

Mr. President, I think that the Dandoz party is up to no good! We should get rid of it for the betterment of our beloved country!
I'll set up an investigation commette right away!
@@BlueFox098how can you talk about democracy in games without talking about suzerain?

This video should've included The Political Process.
We didn't know about this game, it would have made for a fine addition! Still, we hope you enjoyed the video
Gives me Power & Revolution vibe, so much potential but really difficult to pull it off

I wish when career mode is added. It’ll be partly like the Political Process

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I hope the subtitles helps a bit; in every my video I upload the script so that the subtitles are readable for all.
