With everything going on in the world right now, it’s heartbreaking knowing that beyond the severe impact COVID-19 will have in all measures globally, so many hikers will be postponing their experience this year. I hope I can bring some light.

That was beautiful, Tip Tap. We watched it all. May the trail stay in your heart forever.
I only saw this comment a year later. And here I am, back at this video. In my heart, forever and always, thank you PCTA. I need to come back.
@@ElinaOsborneThe CDT would also be ok 😇. Just bring your camera again.
Dear Elina,
my heart is breaking a little about the end of your story. What a joy in such weird times.
You, taking us through the beauty of nature, the rough parts on the way, the big moments and the small ones, was such a welcome break of reality. It has reminded me of some of the wants and needs that I have been putting too far out of mind.
Please continue telling stories, please keep sharing your way at looking at things, we need this clear view at the moment more than ever.
Thank you!
Love and loads of appreciation from Germany.
Dear Louisa,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share with me.
It is such a bizarre time right now, and it warms my heart to hear that something I’ve written, spoken, created has had some impact on you.
I endeavour to keep telling stories; there are so many out there and many of people without voices. Take care and keep spreading your light!
Lots of love from New Zealand.
Looking forward to seeing your next steps. So impressed by the professional and hugely relatable stories that you convey. Very best wishes (from many of us).
@@ElinaOsborne I'm excited to follow your next stories as well! Cheers from Tulsa, Oklahoma!
Saludos desde Bahia, Brasil.
You put a dream in my head.
PCT....
The forethought of setting up the two monuments into one shot is as epic and your journey. Well done.
Agreed 👍
I concur!
Ditto
100% will not take credit! Have definitely seen in done before, but thank you :)
@@ElinaOsborne You pulled it off perfectly. I'd like to borrow the idea for future trips!
Laying In My Tent On The PCT Watching This So Cool !!
Mile 97 Now!!
Almost To Warner Springs!!!
This is so cool to read as a 2019 hiker :) Wooo! Class of 2020! Getting those first 100 miles! Look at you!
it's the ciiiircle of liiiife!
You are very lucky, the snow pack is so low this year in the Sierra. Good luck to you!
How's the weather been? Flying down tuesday!! You'll be way ahead of me!!
Edit: I flew down and the situation became more clear and decided to pull the plug over covid-19
AWESOME
This series has brought me to tears with every installment and this one was a gusher! So many hopes and fears as I step into my own PCT journey next month... I want to believe I can stand among those at the finish, but is it true that every one of us wonders how that could ever be possible? What you have done... both physically through sheer grit and excellence in cinematography... defies words. Consider this my standing ovation, girl! 👏🏻 YOU DID IT!!!!!
I'm gonna miss this series. Feels like we've all been on this journey. Thank you for sharing.
I don’t know if I have ever been so happy and sad at the same time!!! 😢😃
Jeremiah Stringer Hikes pretty epic story she told.
Gone Feral With Squidly super epic!! 🙌
True. If this should be emotion of Elena in the end of PCT. She did superwell
I bycicled 5000km to northkape and telt the same way.....

I’ve hiked many many miles and you are so correct “It is the People” . Thank you so much for sharing. Be Blessed
Wow. I never imagined I’d cry so much watching someone hike. This has be an absolute pleasure to watch. So grateful to have followed this incredible journey. I don’t know you but I love you and you inspired me in a deep way.
It was, surely, one of the most incredible adventure that I had the chance to watch!
Thank you for the goose bumps at every footsteps of yours
Maybe one day i'll be there too!
One Day, or Day 1. It's up to you.
It's not so much about being ready, but its a lot about ignoring those last excuses that keep it from happening.
@@semperintrepidus16 SO TRUE! Make it Day 1...
Simply a beautiful set of films, gloriously shot, wonderfully human, delightfully moving. Thanks for sharing.
I sat here for 40 minutes reading comments before starting to watch the final chapter. I had to prepare myself that in 13 minutes and 01 second the journey would be over. I can only imagine how you must have felt on the final days leading up to Canada. I have viewed so many awesome adventures on UA-cam, I’ve even created and posted a few of my own. But this series is just a cut above everything!
Many tears have been shed... [in a good way] - Don’t stop being awesome!!!
Harden up, dude.
I do not think you realize how truly inspiring this is... I am a 19 year old college student and I have been following you along this journey, I have never wanted to get out and do something more in my entire life. I am so emotional knowing that this is the end of the series, but this has only made me decide that I want to thru-hike the pct, between now and grad school. Thank you for this, thank you for shining a light into peoples hearts and inspiring them to want to do things they never thought they could do. Thank you so, so much.
You can tell a story like nobody else doing this on UA-cam - so sad this journey is over. Looking forward to following the next.
This series has been one of my favorites things ever on UA-cam! Thank you so much for sharing this experience with us all!!
you have such a gift, Elina!!! please never stop creating!
I never realized how emotionally invested I was in this until now. I love this so much. Thank you. 💖
Now imagine how many americans spend majority of their lives living permanently in a single city, being either unaware or reluctant of these opportunities around
One journey ends, and another begins! Thanks Tip Tap for taking all of us along 👊😎...
Literally clicked on this the second I saw it
Steven Irving SAME lol
I cry every time I watch the scene in Lord of the Rings when Frodo gets on the boat and all the hobbits realize he's leaving. Hits me right in the throat with tears.
This video had the same effect. Thank you so much for sharing your journey in such an earnest, beautiful, human way. I can't wait to follow along wherever your adventure takes you next!
Are we not gonna talk about this banana blazing business? 😍
What does banana blazing mean?
@@josepha133 "Banana-blaze: To follow a man down the trail out of romantic interests, usually done by a woman."
" it wasn't about this moment, but everything that lead up to it", this is going into my book of quotes!
just wanna say thank you for taking us all with you on this incredible journey! amazing cinematography and storytelling.
any new adventures planned?
My heart is so full from watching your series, many tears have been shed through the process. I just wanna thank you for sparking an obsession and fire in my soul for the great adventure that is the PCT. This has been so touching, thank you so much for sharing your journey with us all. 💖
So good! So good I cried. Glad the banana blazing paid off. Hoping you hike and vlog another trail some day.
I've been waiting my whole life for this 😭💯❤
Honestly seeing that you finished the trail back in 2019 makes me realize how different the world is now compared to then. I miss those better days
Better days are ahead and I can imagine that on the trail.. Those days feel the same now as they have for thousands of years 😌
@keegancherry you my friend, are wise.
I tried to hold back the tears being an old man....but not because you finished....I always knew you probably would....you have true grit....my tears werent from pain or jealousy....they were more because as you finished I realized I would probably never be able to duplicate the wonderful experience and comradery and friendship of an epic adventure like this one !! Thx again Elina for a wonderful experience following part of your lifes journey !!!
So gonna watch this whole journey again in one go! 😉
The best storyteller… I’m not crying, you’re crying!
Ah appreciate you! 😭
One word: epic. Thank you, Tip Tap.
You are a "GREAT STORY TELLER" Thank you for allowing us to tag along, can't hardly wait for your next adventure... Thank you tip tap
Is that Kraig Adams brother at 6:31?
My goodness I really enjoyed this series and so glad that UA-cam suggested your channel via Kyle Hates Hiking (would you believe it! 😂 😂 😂 ). Thanks for sharing this journey with us! Wonderfully filmed.
This was such an amazing series and looked forward to watching them every week or so! You are an incredibly strong woman and you have inspired me to live life to the fullest. I hope that you continue to make videos I truly enjoyed them. Congratulations on finishing the PCT!
Wonderful wonderful wonderful! One of the best UA-cam series I’ve seen. Great job Elina! I hope very much to see more from you! Thanks for taking us along you journey.
This is a bitter sweet moment watching your adventure finish. I’ve followed knowing that I was getting a glimpse of my 2020 PCT adventure. Each week my excitement built. Unfortunately today I made the heart breaking realisation that I wouldn’t be doing the PCT in 2020. I put off watching initially because I was too gutted to see what had been taken from me, but I’m glad I did. Although it still hurts knowing I won’t be out there in 10 days like planned, I’m glad to see your adventures climax and am now hardened to make sure I get my turn. Thank you for such an amazing series and congratulations
I consider myself an experienced hiker, not really requiring much motivation to get out and hike, but your beautifully crafted telling of this journey has moved me to get out more to hike the trails and the meet the people yet undiscovered! Thanks for sharing!
So sad this story is over. But know that you inspired me to go on the PCT, right when I finished my studies.
Would love to see, what you went through right after finishing the trail, the first days/weeks after.
Such an incredible journey, thank you for taking us along! So what’s your next adventure?
Thank you for sharing your journey! You're pretty awesome .
i randomly came across the prologue video shortly after you posted it and then carried on watching as the weeks went on. and now i open youtube to see you posted the final one a little while ago. i'm now feeling the need to do this trip sooooo much more than i was before, hopefully i'll either find the time, or just make the time. sick videos. i'm going miss not seeing more. feels like it ended too soon.
Two weeks until I start the PCT and this couldn't have been a better timed finale, thanks for the inspiration. Can't wait to follow your next adventure ;)
Beautifully executed and magical storytelling. I loved this series! Hope to see more of your work in the future, Elina.
Thank you for sharing your story-telling gift with us all. What an incredible series!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this.
And congratulations on an incredible journey.
GOOSEBUMPS, I was to start on the Appalachian Trail next week and fly out of Aus in four days but have had to cancel, thank you for bringing us on your adventure with you ahhh!!!
Great video - can't wait to check out the rest of your channel! -fellow UA-camr
This video literally gave me the chills -- such beautiful scenery and such a well-crafted and emotional treatment of how your adventure reached its peak of success. Congratulations. You are majorly awesome. Thanks for sharing all of it. And I hope you have more adventures to share in the future!
I'm so thankful for this series, you have made me want to hike the PCT one day!
I had so much to say but everyone has said everything first! Just. Beautiful. You’re so good. I love your hair, and that you chopped it off yourself. Love your accent! Great music and editing! Happy for you!! Have a great life! Want to see more in the future please! May God bless you richly!
What is life like after coming off the trail? Now, months later.
Wondering the same...
I have only done some big chunks of the PCT, but when you come back from a big hike like this you are pretty prone to post trail depression. No more freedom, adventure, and comraderie. Back to responsibility and the mundane. I think about that trail every day even though I last stepped foot on it over 2 years ago.
@@patmost9982 I see, I can imagine...
Thanks for bringing me along on your adventure. Great videos!
This day was bound to come ,, it has been a joy to follow along on your adventure,, Thank you so much for sharing.....Stay Safe and God Bless.....
I have been thinking about all the hikers about to start right now for days. Especially those coming from abroad. I have PCT dreams and can't imagine the heartache they are feeling right now if they are unable to make it.
Damn Tip Tap. You're quite the story teller. Your degree has served you well. Thank you so much for the journey. Absolutely loved every bit of it and will most certainly watch these over and over again. Never thought of subscribing to anything on youtube until you came along and that's no lie. Sad like many others to see this end. Will continue to watch anything you decide to put out on the web. You are truly talented.
Just wow. Amazingly beautiful Elina. A travelogue for history.
What everyone said!! Will miss these series actually a lot!! Elina you are talented and magic.
I have been so invested in your journey the past couple of months, I am sad these chapters have come to an end, but I am excited to see what you release next! Beautifully done and have inspired me to plan a PCT thru hike for the 2021 season. Thank you for sharing!
Such a great series!! I’m sad to see it end. So get busy on the next one girl!! Also, CONGRATULATIONS! Amazing trip. So inspiring. Gotta hike now! 😜
Not gonna lie, I'll miss these videos. You did such a great job, so beautifully made. Right now I feel proud of you, also happy, also sad, what a mixture and that just from watching. The emotions you must have had. Thank you for sharing your journey and keep those awesome videos going here and there :D

Thank you for sharing your adventure with us. I have enjoyed the journey all these weeks.
Well done and thanks for sharing. The human spirit is a wonderful thing.
This is one of two stand out hiking series from the 2019 season. It was really fantastic. The way you shot it, and the way you told it. It's amazing. You should be very proud of what you've accomplished, both on the trail and creatively.
I'm just sad that it's over.
Brilliant! Just what the world needs right now. I have loved your story and film making. I will miss it. Wishing you well as you start the next chapter.
I genuinely LOVED your series. Such a perfect balance of all elements that make something watchable. Thanks for sharing it.🌿
When you cry for some strangers success because you are proud of them lol. God I’m a mess. Congrats girl and congrats to all your blobby friends as well. It takes a lot to do.
I’ve enjoyed watching every minute of your journey on the PCT. sorry to see the adventure come to an end. You have a true talent in filmmaking. Can’t wait to see what is next.
Following your journey was such a great adventure. Thank you Elina. I'm crying just a little bit because of ending this series. You inspired me to go for walks more, to enjoy nature more and maybe even to do pct in few years. Thank you again ❤!
Beautiful people, beautiful journey
love the musical selection !! every single one of them !!
I've watched this series probably 10+ times over the years whenever I'm feeling down and it reminds me to enjoy the simple things. Hope I get to walk the trails one day. Thanks for making this series for all the people that love the outdoors and that are always looking for that next adventure just around the bend.
No I don’t want it to be over :( honestly getting to start every week with one of your videos has brought so much joy and motivation into my life! Thank you, thank you, thank you and I’m going to miss this!
Outstanding!! The achievement, your positive and resilient spirit, and your video production skills are all so admirable. Thank you very much for sharing this video series. I'll be watching your others in the weeks ahead. Best wishes with whatever adventure you are on now or aspiring to.
this made me cry. You're an incredible storyteller. Never stop, please
Watching this with tears in my eyes, as my PCT-Journey this year probably falls flat due to the corona-crisis :(
Thank you so much for sharing this amazing journey. From the bottom of my heart you made a huge impact on my life when it comes to hiking. 👏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻
