THIS right here is why Corvinus is my favorite player 👏 👏 bravo sir another master stroke of defensive gameplay by him. That’s why I find his games so entertaining and interesting to watch. HRE/OOTD are my favorite civs to play and to see corvinus play ootd so well and use some of his great on the fly defensive moves on an aggressive OP civ like Jeanne makes it even sweeter. His use of static defense is amazing as well. I’ve just never seen a player be as responsive as corvinus is when it comes to defensive micro like throwing up walls and trapping opponents in or at the last second saving your base from a big nasty raid that’s seconds away. Love the content Farm, keep it coming, especially if it’s HRE/OOTD ;).

What should JD have done better here? Do you just match the fast castle after seeing the double arrow slitted outposts, or do you get early siege engineering?

yo Farm Man. please show some health bars bro! the Hp of Joan, or a castle sieged by vills, or cannons sieged by vills, or even the damage guilded crossbows do to a ram are important and enjoyable information and it should be casted too. thx and keep it up
I do kinda hope that HRE burger palace get´s a similar treatmant to OOTD, sure if you try to all in HRE burger is good but in the long run those 5 barracks are a completly useless Landmark while the regniz cathedral is only useful when you get relics, which can get denied at times, especially if your opponent knows how to play against HRE

played a 2 hours game against fitzhere yesterday..... ootd is hard to kill late game
👍definitely played in this manner its hard to push at times because of canon towers and raiding is tough with the swabia, probs needs a death ball of siege which is hard to scale into quickly which then buys them time! :O

Corviinus just showed the perfect way to beat Jeanne
It is great once the eco comes online but it takes way too long ( until you reached max pop, 80-100 vills) .
They could just reduce the training time for vills to the normal 20 seconds.
Would still cost more food but then you have an actual eco bonus BEFORE reaching max vill Count.
As is, their eco bonus is 5% .....EVERY other civ has a MUCH better eco.
And that bonus only goes to 25% at the very end.
In this game OotD could have straight up died if jeanne just build rams in feudal.
OotD went from castle to imp without any meaningful army.
Ramms and it would have been gg.
Nontheless great game from corvinus.
I don't play at this level but at lower levels a lot of guys turtle up behind walls like Corvinus did and what works for me quite often is to simply line up a half dozen trebs supported by a lot of infantry and they're forced to come out and deal with it or they lose half their structures in a minute or two. I wonder if in this game, it would have worked to take out the towers and then simply cover the gates which are the only point of exit.
Or just ram push at feudal age. Lower level is terrible at defence.

anyone else notice that at 21:15 time jona was able to spawn units on the back side of the wall.. so now that we have god units you cant just spawn nits on the other die of walls ??? how gay

When something is very important than you can't OVERstate how important it is. If you couldn't UNDERstate it, then you wouldn't be able to put into words just how UNimportant it is.

Poor Jeanne seemed to be kinda hopeless after purple had their defenses with the towers+emplacements all set up.
