Considering they invested in a 5-hour walking simulator, in a struggling triple-A gaming industry, I'd say they will. The era of investing hundreds of millions to produce mediocre crap is no longer profitable.
@mangaas The whole AAA industry has problems and is struggling in some ways but doing very well in others. But yeah I don't expect jack shit from this game considering it doesn't seem like it's gonna be very good. I wonder if it's a secret false advertising thing and the game is even more bare bones and buggy than they're letting on. I don't know at this point. Sony can be unpredictable at times too but they don't make reckless decisions that jeprotize their console brand and consistently produce quality more often than not, plus most people own a PS5 or PC these days anyway. Microsoft on the other hand has managed to fuck up their whole business model and flip flop on their decisions all the time, so it wouldn't surprise me if it's ass. I also wonder if they're just gonna do the next dogshit console they have planned in 2026 but then probably scrap their plans once they realize how much they'll have lost to Sony by then. The PS6 is around 4 years away but the Switch 2 will have been on the market for a while by then. So the next Xbox will do so poorly that they'll pull the plug on a console brand on life support.
