What incredibly awesome machinery and tooling. Being the oldest obviously have some advantage. Excellent video. I favor these pipes and their unique shapes
Well they make a lot of pipes in a factory but still today, there‘s a lot of know how, hand craft and skill, design, polish , finish and importantly quality control that makes them great pipes even so, factory or not. I have a nice churchwarden Chacom, its just great on a summers evening for aromatics😊
Are the British the only nation in Europe who pay any attention to health and safety of employees? Here, we would not be permitted to use unguarded circular saws with fingers so close! Band saws would be safer. We would not be permitted to subject employees to hearing loss through lack of PPE and we would be forced to install dust extraction since shaping and sanding of briar forms copious toxic dust more harmful to lungs than smoking the pipes!!! It's no wonder the EU have their "level playing field" and such economic unfair advantages over the uk because French businesses particularly don't seem to invest in the H&S management or ineed pay any heed to it at all that we are forced to by having to stick to EU rules. It's one law forthe French and another for the UK. Saying all that it was still wonderful to see such treasured skills and industry at Comoy.
I was wondering that too...on the other hand large companies in my country are just shiny on the outside...behind the scenes a lot of unbelievable stuff is going down and noone cares about rules and regulations...
it so sad how such and handcrafted product that is meant to be unique and a piece of art is cranked out like crazy from a factory employing trade specific skilled workers. but man is that a lot of briar.
