It was also really fucking long. Like it was phenomenal but it was getting kinda stupid how dragunov just like… kinda made the moves feel pointless. It was like he looks strong enough there’s no need for him to make it feel like Walter was almost weak. Like this big ass guy can’t put a guy half his size down? I think a long match and just one pin attempt would have been better then 15 pins per minute.
Walter vs. Dragunov really was best in the empty arena era. You could hear every slap and even what they were saying and it really added to the match. Of course, it would be interesting also to see how the crowd will react and it would be nice to give them a live and spontaneous "this is awesome" chant that they really deserve. Only a few matches can claim to be perfect regardless of whether or not there is an audience watching live
Eh I was there for that live at the Barclay Center. The match did not feel too real; it felt like a typical Lesnar match, perhaps even on the lesser side of things as far as quality goes. The ending felt mildly real, but more confusing than anything. I think it gets too much hype because of the names and stage involved. People were ready to go home by the time the match even started!
Wrestling matches do need some form of realism to it. Those matches are usually the most memorable for a reason. It makes the guys in the ring look like they were really beating each other so it makes it feel real to us even though we know better otherwise. I am not saying it has to be a 100% real looking fight. You can exaggerate a bit for fun and if it is entertaining. Then their is making it too exaggerated by always performing big spots, finishers and flips with no good build up to them. In other words, don't be like an AEW match.
Maybe... maybe lesnar just went into mma to figure out just how much he can actually beat and bend a body without it falling apart in his monster mitts like an overcooked chicken. Then he returned to wrestling and began applying that knowledge very effectively.
Honorable mention to that banger between daniel bryan and drew gulak at elimination chamber 2020, where db was almost paralyzed whilst landing on top of his head
As someone who really enjoys both wrestling and mma I have to say the fight pit match isn’t even close to realistic. I can still enjoy it, but it’s not close to a real fight.
That would be a short list considering Bret was in WCW and HBK couldn't wrestle in 1999. If you're gonna make a point, know your shit. Or at least check it.
I feel like angle and Shane mcmahon from king of the ring should have at least been an honorable mention. I showed that to friend who isn't a wrestling fan and he was captivated
You definitely forgot Tommy Dreamer Vs Steven Richards in a Singapore cane match. The most under rated match I've ever watched. You could literally see those canes wrap around each other's heads when they hit them with it
I dont like the shots being taken at mister cornette at times, be it that his opinion is a bit extreme at times, sure , but his opinion oftentimes imo is a better alternative than what actually happens on tv. he spoke very highly of some modern matches, he just enjoys a different brand of wrestling than what the major focus of the current product is usually, and thats okay, i'm in my 20's and i cant say I enjoy the current product, some of the matches he pointed out as his recent favourites are very outstanding to me in a positive way. I dont agree with him all the time but his opinion still carries a lot of value if you know how to take it. (That's my take at least, listening to his podcast for a few years by now while also watching some of cultaholics content and for almost a year now not watching any wrestling program anymore but still kinda staying involved on the side)
But Eddie’s mother actually did have a heart attack and she had a high blood pressure. I know what a heart attack looks like plus my grandmother had three of them and three bypass surgeries
Fit Finley vs William Regal at Uncensored 1996 is another super stiff match. Almost any early 90's/ late 80's Steiner Brothers match is bound to be a stiff wrestling clinic
What about Bob Backland vs the Iron Sheik in 1983. I felt that match was very realistic. The tv commentary was realistic also. They really sold Bobs arm injury well
Walter vs Dragunov was so amazing that even James E. Cornette himself sung its praises.
My favourite match ever really

Benoit vs Regal from No Mercy 2006 is a forgotten gem in my opinion. That was such a hard hitting battle
It's an awesome match.
I just watched it, and it was brutality at its finest.
Its best to chop someone in the face
Great match and it was not even the match announced in advance
Just watched it. Awesome!

That match benefitted with no crowd.
Lesnar vs Cena at Extreme Rules is one of my 5 favorite matches. It was so good to watch as a kid.
Seems like this should be called 10 most brutal WWE matches
That hotdog skinned menace line about hogan has me dead 😅😅
Glad to see NXT UK finally getting a mention
Studio let it down but what a match!
That Garvin vs Valentine match was a really good and gets overlooked. Their feud was really good too
Nakamura vs Sami Zayne NXT Takeover Dallas. A hard hitting affair that made you cringe sometimes on how stiff they were being.
Matt kept his professionalism I couldnt've mad respect
Matt Riddle and Timothy Thatchcher are two of technical wrestlers
Not incorrect
@@egotisticalegg5282 no one has ever described Randy as a " technical" wrestler
Heck Riddle's a legit UFC dude.
@@egotisticalegg5282 I genuinely have no idea those edibles must have been really potent 😳
I watched that garvin vs valentine match not long ago. Its bloody amazing. Really, especially the time it was in the wwf. A must see.
The thumbnail looks spicy.
Love a good cultaholic video
Fuck yes mate.
Rare
Agreed
So you love every video
An even more hard hitting Regal/Benoit match is on the 2000 Brian Pillman Memorial show. Classic and realistic. Worth a watch
luv that thumbnail image, very carnal
Lmao
Some matches should be more realistic, depending on the characters or story.
I thought for sure that Lesnar vs. Orton would be on this list.
Only the ending of that match felt realistic. The rest of it felt like a typical pro wrestling match, to me at least.
@@DBDUndisputed Fair enough.
@@DBDUndisputed Well said
Was hoping for Magnum TA vs Blanchard in the cage and "I quit". The wood spike is brutal.

The thumbnail made me think I was on the wrong site for a sec. 😆
Matt Riddle is a puppy who can turn you into a pretzel. I remember lads paying him €5 to have him chop them at a show. That was fun to watch.
actually love this channel
Hulk Hogan is still to this day Oscar Meyer's unofficial Mascot 🤣
And Ilja and WALTER used to team together
Couldn’t agree more….he stole my name!!😎
Eddie: mom I need you for an angle
Eddie's mom: do I wear the mask?
*WWE: NO, HEART ATTACK*
Ilja vs. WALTER is def number 1
3 ain't bad
Dragonov vs Walter will always the best one of year 2020
Happy Sunday mr pacitti
Taker vs Mick in Hell in a Cell was pretty realistic...
'Hot dog skinned menace Hulk Hogan' *me enjoying a nice hotdog* thanks for that Adam!
Maybe... maybe lesnar just went into mma to figure out just how much he can actually beat and bend a body without it falling apart in his monster mitts like an overcooked chicken.
Then he returned to wrestling and began applying that knowledge very effectively.
Very effectively? Name a different move he does aside from the f5 and German suplexes... I'll wait.
@@phyuck_hughe is this a serious reply to a comment that was intended as a joke?
You forgot Hogan vs HBK at Summerlam
Lol
That was probably number 11
Honorable mention to that banger between daniel bryan and drew gulak at elimination chamber 2020, where db was almost paralyzed whilst landing on top of his head
So I’m
Number 0
Kyle O Reily vs Finn Balor???
You're kinda proving Cornette's point tough. Ilya and Walter was probably the best match in the last few years close with Riddle's vs Thatcher
Alternate title: *A list of pretty cool matches from pre modern era*
Big facts
Plus two pretty cool matches from the modern era
Hmm a top ten I didn’t know I wanted
Adam, come on my bro! Magnum TA vs Tully Blanchard in I quit cage match, where Magnum opens up Blanchard with a chair leg!
The thumbnail was when Aiden English choked out Shawn Michaels, bet you guys didnt know that
Wow, that’s very surprising. Thank you for telling me that Green Koopa from the Super Mario series of games and respective spin-off series’
I definitely thought that was Aiden English at first.
@@yamamotoricky96 you're very welcome 🐢

It’s like raw underground but actually good
I’m here after the Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch
If both the fight pit and the lion's den aren't on here, I will be full of disappoint!
Taker vs mankind hell in a cell
Even JR legitimately yelled out:
"my gawd, my gawd they killed him"
Who's "they" anyways lol
STOP THE DAMN MATCH (JR Voice)
"they" was referring to the bookers in the back. Vince/patterson
Yall should rank every divas champion
Cultaholic should make a compilations of nicknames given to Hulk Hogan and hotdog skinned menace should be number 1
An Adam Pachitti video I actually watched. 10/10
Nakamura vs Sami Zayne NXT Takeover Dallas? That one was so stiff hitting and one of the best matches of that year too.
There should be a video called “top 10 of the top 10 list that uses Bret Hart vs HBK SS ‘99.
That would be a short list considering Bret was in WCW and HBK couldn't wrestle in 1999. If you're gonna make a point, know your shit. Or at least check it.
That's 1997
@@mr.sadist6733 thank you. This guy should really check his shit before he makes a point.
@@stirfry5560 👍👍👍
wake up honey it’s a new CULTAHOLIC video
What?
The thumbnail is looking kinda sussy
love the channel. but Brock conquering ufc tho?
Another honorable mention taker vs Vince survivor series 03 taker looked like he was punching Vince for real
Although intended for a work, they said eddie mom really had a heart attack messing with jbl
John Cena vs Brock Lesnar SummerSlam 2014 is still the most realistic match for me.. Cena legit sold the shots like he was actually pounded
“Hot dog skinned menace” lol!
I feel like angle and Shane mcmahon from king of the ring should have at least been an honorable mention. I showed that to friend who isn't a wrestling fan and he was captivated
Honorable mention: Hardcore Holly vs Lesnar on smackdown 2002
Lesnar vs cena summerslam felt very real.
I'm surprised angle vs Benoit from the rumble for the WWE championship ain't here but a good list anyways ❤️
A lot of their matches together could’ve easily have been on this list.
Who else needs a nap and a cigarette after starting at that thumbnail 👀
Did they change it?
good video
I hope you do a WCW version or just other promotions. Regal vs Finlay from Uncensored 96 is a hell of a slugfest on a poor show.
That thumbnail tho...🤣🤦🏻♂️
John Cena vs Cm Punk
Walter vs Tyler Bate
Finn Balor vs Kylo
Vader was never given the attention that he deserved.
Finlay vs Regal on Smackdown
dat thumbnail tho
thumbnails crazy
thanks!
And then Eddie's mother LITERALLY had a heart attack!!
No Pat Patterson vs Sgt. Slaughter street fight?
5:07 Grim. 😞😞

That thumbnail looks really really odd
Brock vs. Triple H would've been a good pick for the list but i can see why Cena vs. Lesnar was picked over it
If you're referring to HHH vs. Lesnar at Summerslam 2012 then yeah, I agree
I Thought Randy Orton Vs Brock Lesnar Survivor Series Would have made the List
Chris Ben-who🤣
Gargano v Chiampa could occupy at least 3 spots in this list.
Their unsanctioned match is still a thing of beauty.
The thumbnail...it was intentional, right? :D
All Walter matches
Correct
How is orton vs lesnar at summerslam not on this list? Even chris jericho thought it was legit
I would have been disappointed if Benoit wasn’t on the list
They all look "unrealistic" and that's fine
This guy ^ ?
He gets it.
Chris Benoit vs kelvin Sullivan
But Eddie’s mother actually did have a heart attack and she had a high blood pressure. I know what a heart attack looks like plus my grandmother had three of them and three bypass surgeries

Every Benoit match I see it gets easier to see why and how he did what he did
undertaker vs triple h or shawn michaels
Sheamus vs drew mcintyre

What about Bob Backland vs the Iron Sheik in 1983. I felt that match was very realistic. The tv commentary was realistic also. They really sold Bobs arm injury well
The lions den match
Why hulk hogan is like a 70years old man since 1990?dies he stoped aging since someday?
I promise 90% of these lists have the screw job
I like the realistic matches that tell a story. Most of the flippy Vanilla Midgets do none of that.
