They filmed skits of Chris Renfrew and a ref trying to find Joe to attack him and finish the match.

Triple H vs Undertaker End of an Era is probably my favorite long match. You know it’s something special when a near 50 minute match feels like 20 minutes

@@RyanParrott27 No, considering Bret and Shawn's was from Mania 12, I'd not think so. Just no Mania matches reached the bell to bell length of these to make the list past that one evidently. Taker and HHH actually only ran 30:57 in actual match time to that end, so was far shorter than it may have seemed.
That 2014 survivor series match is probably my favorite ever. Ziggler is great at selling and the pop when he would litterally be dead in the ring and hit a zigzag was insane.
My relationships don't even last as long as these matches....smh

I was at the SAP center in San Jose for the "House of Horror" match, it defied time and space because they started the match wherever the house was in the darkness of night then made there way to the arena in the light of day to finish the match within the span of 30 minutes.
I was hoping that woulda been brought up.

Should've excluded Survivor Series elimination matches aswell they would obviously be longer than an average match much like the rumble, but you do you man.
The fact is, there are singles matches longer than the average Survivor Series Elimination match, while the standard Royal Rumble lasts around one hour

Yeah, one with no Ironman, no Survivor Series Elimination Tag and no Elimination Chamber matches would be good to watch! (also no RR of course)

With the tag-team tag-team elimination matches at the first two Survivor Series, it's amazing that there were 10 legit teams with team names, matching gear, and double-team finishers across the board. What I'd give for the current tag-team scene in WWE to have such depth.

The 3 types of matches that shouldn't have been in this list were elimination chamber, survivor series and iron man matches.
I'd say Iron Man Matches particularly with the fixed 1 hour at the least length, ala the Rumbles, not as bothered about others though, since EC's and especially Survivor Series matches could run shorter or longer depending.
Ironman matches definitely shouldn't have been since the time is predefined
I don't care what anyone says Bret vs Shawn at WM12 was an awesome match, I remember watching it live at home and watching every captivating minute. I put at 6 on top 10 PPV Main event match ever.

probably should've also not included survivor series tag matches if the rumble isn't allowed. It took up a considerable amount of entries. I was expecting all singles matches.

Did you watch the video? It probably got about 20 minutes of tv time
The time elapsed from opening bell to the finish was that long. It was really two wrestling segments with a long period of time where they were supposedly brawling off camera. It really shouldn't be on the list if Wyatt/Orton wasn't.
Respect to Curtis Axel for the shortest Iron Man match in history when he defeated Triple H in 2 minutes and 18 seconds. Combine that with his Royal Rumble legacy and you truly have a well-rounded hall of fame resume.

I was at Payback 2017 at Sap Center in San Jose California. That match..... It just didn't work. Killed a good / positive vibe that the fans were having in the arena prior to having watch the 1st part of the match on the Titantron respectively.
Matches between 8 to 25 minutes are truly the greatest matches

That 2016 survivor series match was one of the best survivor series elimination match. Only ones on that level was the 2005 match, 2014 match and the 2003 Austin Vs Bischoff match.

Survivor Series ‘88 took place in Richfield Township, not Richmond Township. The Cleveland Cavaliers played there for 20 years, and Muhammad Ali fought Chuck Wepner at the Richfield Coliseum. Not many people live around there but they hosted a lot of big events.
Fun Fact, #1 is the very first match I was shown as a kid. It is one of my favorites without a doubt.

The house they used for the House of Horrors is actually in Richmond Missouri. About an Hour outside of Kansas City. I’m from KC but my friend lives out there And lives by the house they used. I even went to it after they left.
I remember the WCW vs WWF match. my dad was so upset that WCW lost cause he was a huge WCW fan. But he eventually got over it after they became WWE and kept a lot of the WCW wrestlers anyway.

My favorite thing about Backlash last year was that they did the AJ Styles vs Daniel Bryan Intercontinental title match on Smackdown to avoid headlines like "The second greatest wrestling match at this year's Backlash"

The house of horror match actually has a negative running time. It was obviously dark at the house but was not outside the arena. Since they had to be close to get to the arena in the time they did the only answer is time travel, so the match ended before it started.
Once again my intrest is peeked. Here is a topic that I noticed isn't mentioned much anymore. Iron Man Matches. That could be a good list. One of my favorite ones that is lesser known is A.J. Styles vs Christopher Daniels. I'm not sure if they did it twice but that one was a barnburner

In the WWE vs The Alliance match Stone Cold was in ECW and WCW before he entered his WWE career so it's possible he was representing his original roots in the match as well

Survivor Series 1988 had more teams in ONE MATCH than the entire WWE has on THREE BRANDS today. Time to merge all three bands tag team division into a unified title match and the champions can go between brands with the Wild Card rule or something. Ziggler and Roode would be the big winners in a scenario like that and could be a legitimately strong championship team for several PPVs and TV across all three brands. Lot of fresh matches possible there.
When it's stated RR matches are not gonna be included because they'd take up to much of the list....yet, we hit #6 and there's been 3 SS matches already....ummm might wanna redo this list again lol
