My Grandma made pies all the time, she was a farmer’s wife. She sure to make apple sauce pies, they were a family favorite!! My mom used to make the ice box pies, but no banana because she was allergic to bananas!!
Both of my Oklahoma grandmothers have been deceased for many years they made mostly cakes and cookies but i had a lot of aunts that made pies mainly chocolate, pecan, apple and peach pies but still thanks for the delicious pie memories of the past thank you. 😋🥧🥛☕🥧😋
Thank you so much for finally mentioning the Sour Cream pie. My grandmother made Sour Cream Raisin Pie when I was growing up. It's one of my favorites. The only problem with that is that most of my kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren don't like raisins. What's wrong with kids nowadays?
The Brazilian chicken pie is delicious, you should try. My grandmother used to make an excellent chicken pie, she is still alive, but with her health conditions nowadays, she can't cook anymore.
I don’t see how banana cream pie is considered forgotten. I can find it in every grocery store where I live and it literally a staple in many homes in regard to pies

My grandmother made the best pecan and apple pies she used brown sugar instead of corn syrup
