New Haven 3025: The Winter Sprinter

On February 13, 2022 we are back at The Essex Steam Train and River Boat for our first excursion of 2022. On this date mother nature was in favor for what I wanted to photograph, and led the warm weather from the day prior away, in return for a fresh three inches of snow. First we see the crew backing 3025 out of the shop and onto the main to run around to the front of the train. 3025 was paired with most of the Valley's first class coaches for the riders to enjoy their meals. The consist consisted of 3025, observation car "Middletown," first class cars "Goodspeed," "Wallingford" and "Meriden," along with cook car "Colonial Hearth." Since this was a dinner train, 3025 moves along at a slower pace to let the riders enjoy their meals. Let's follow 3025 as she makes her run from Essex to Goodspeed and back. Enjoy!

I was on it that day on the 13th, I was in the car behind the observation car facing away form the river in the first window seat, but what a nice ride that was!
