- The Passion of The Christ is a film about the last twelve hours of Jesus of Nazareth’s life. The film opens in the Garden of Olives (Gethsemane) where Jesus has gone to pray after the Last Supper. Jesus resists Satan’s temptations. MEL GIBSON directed this movie. Show him some love and respect. He was one of the first VICTIMS of liberals. Mel is one of the greatest of all time
I remember when this movie came out I was kinda surprised by Mel Gibson being the director. Truth is he's actually better at directing than acting. This movie came out in 2004 but Mel implemented a lot of cutting edge technology mixed with traditional filmmaking. The result: the movie looks fantastic because it was shot in a very high resolution before high resolution was even a thing. The crowds and costumes are real and authentic so from a technical point of view it looks better than most contemporary movies. Great use of lighting, sharp image, no CGI blur to hide the fake crowds and backgrounds...The Passion is a hyper-realistic masterpiece.
This is a very powerful movie! One cannot even imagine the pain suffered by Jesus!
And think, the damage inflicted upon him was even worse than the movie shows.
Jesus suffered immensely...ALL For US!

This is an evil film because of all the blood shed of the actor that played Jesus. Mel Gibson is a Roman Catholic so he made sure that his fake Jesus was beaten and tortured to death. This is the devils version of the Crucifiction.,

Jesus was beaten and tortured to death. Showing what really happened isn’t evil. What’s evil is minimizing the suffering the Romans inflicted on Christ. He underwent that suffering for our souls.

Not sure what your belief of what happened is, but this movie showed what really happened to our savior! The actor was advised by Mel Gibson how difficult it would be….he(the actor) WANTED to do the film….he knew it would bring many to Christ and that is what we are supposed to do! BRAVO to his courage!
