God loves you and I so much that he gives us infinite chances, what's important is that when we repent that we try our hardest to resist committing the same sin again and this is possible by drawing upon on God's infinite strength through the Holy Spirit that's within us. Another thing to keep in my mind is that when we repent of our sins to God is that not only is the punishment atoned through Jesus but the sins are erased from memory so there is no need to feel shame/guilt. But I've just recently turned back to God and by relying upon his strength breaking free from the hold that sexual immorality has had over me my life. Read Luke 15, Isaiah 38 and take comfort. Feeling guilt is natural, it's actually a sign of righteousness, bet you don't feel righteous though huh? Jesus's/God's love for us is emphasized time and time again that their love for us is unconditional regardless for what we've done. Seriously read Luke 15. Can anyone tell me the name of this film please. This part of His life I share with many people. I can't even imagine how scared he must have been knowing whats is to come. yes it is a great scene that demonstrates why it wouldn't have happened this way. Imagine for a minute you are a part of the armed guardsmen that come to arrest the troublemaker Jesus. One of his men cuts off the ear of one of your side and Jesus touches the ear and he is healed.
