Thank you so much for this! Was able to take the instructions and adapt them to the gamepass version to transfer to steam. It worked, but I lost my checkpoint unlocks. Needed to convert the container file in the preferences_data. Working now!
maybe late to the party, but I was able to copy savegame from epic to gog/steam with no problem. just copied all files and gave prefix 'savegame-slot-00_'. some files not present in the video are 'savegame-slot-00_expedition'.
Wow! Thanks a lot. I decided to play dlc, but lost my save games and didn't know, what to do. It worked, but i had no file "meta" from "Epic saves". but with only 3 other files, it worked fine.
I bought control from epic games and after the fourth or fifth time i clicked "continue to game" it closed. And now it does the same every time i do it. Does anyone know why?
Guys, for activate AWE expansion you need activate DLC with fitgirl saves and then put your renamed saves from epic, besides file "global" it must be from downloaded saves. And then DLC AWE work perfectly with yours saves. It must create savefile savegame-slot-00_awe.

does it work vice versa the ultimate edition doesnt have dlc for me

There's a guy called ollurabi who solved the AWE DLC problem (solution from August 28th)

@@aswin.k.o377 bru use the steam save files. It's easy copy the .exe files from the dlc unlocked folder and past them in the game directory
