Im glad you mentioned Prince. Prince was one of his biggest influences. How Does It Feel was an homage to him. He also ties in his gospel roots. You should also check out his album Black Messiah.
Great job. Next time you do Reggae music can you please do a Sizzla album ? You can do Black Woman & Child or Praise Ye Jah or Good Ways or Royal Son or Da Real Thing. I recommend Da Real Thing because you can find all the lyrics much easier for that album
I most likely won't be continuing with these monthly genre series in the new year so I don't plan on doing a full blown Reggae theme again but I am going to continue reacting to recommendations as well as new albums as they release. I'll take note of Sizzla and cover him in the future!

Mama's Gun was actually recorded in the same studio (Electric Lady in New York) and at the same time as Voodoo!
Something good was in the air at that studio because both are classics
