How this is possible that alone adding up the PCI express to M.2 adapter? Unless your CPU fully supported and other protocols has been placed for PCI express alone , wouldn’t give the results you have been anticipated.

You can use a sata 2.5 inch ssd rather than using the pcie x16 slot bcz u can put a gpu there that would make ur pc much faster

As both models are older than 4th gen Intel system they both will work. Just make sure the bios of both motherboards is updated to the latest one
I think they are newer than 4th gen, one uses i3 6th gen and other uses i3 7th gen processor.

Hi Surya Kiran , all you need to do is now you have to set the SSD as boot option in bios settings, set it's priority as no 1 in booting. You can check some videos on youtube. When it starts booting from SSD you can delete the os in hdd or format that disk or partition

An incomplete video. OS Installation & Booting through it is gonna be the most challenging part. As the BIOS doesn't know there is a storage device attached on the PCIE slot therefore you are going to need a associate bootable software in the form of pendrive attached to the system in order to use it as primary device.
Completely agree as I realised after uploading video as many of the users said they can boot from that device. The reason which is highlited comment is this boot is allowed from 3rd gen Intel pcs, also the bios should be updated

I have and old mobo (socket 1366) and i am trying to install windows 10 in expansion card with NVME M2 2TB. I received message that :
"Windows cannot be installed to this disk. This computers hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure That the disk controller is enabled in the computers BIOS menu."

I really don't know how to get past that... If you are able to do it let me know. Just ensure your bios is updated. For bios check your specific motherboard model and search on company website

My NVMe M.2 ssd is not getting read. It don't show me ssd. After checking device manager it shows "Unable to install your PCI device".Need your help
Have you undated your bios to the latest one..
