  • -The game that had two endings as a fan running out on the field negated what would have been a game-ending play.....which the Yankees took advantage of. Complete radio broadcast as called by John Sterling and Michael Kay on WABC (no postgame alas)

Brings back great memories of growing up in an area that didn't have MSG so WABC was my go-to. Loved how the 93 team adopted "We're Not Going to Take It" by Twisted Sister to play before every home game and after every home win.

I was there. Saw an all time brawl b/w security and some bridge and tunnel meatheads. The Yankee dynasty started here.

I was there. Right field bleachers on a damp chilly day/evening. “Ladies and gentlemen, your attention, please. The game is not over. Time was called” - Bob Shepherd over the PA. Donnie Baseball for the win! Like it was yesterday.

Fun Yankee team in 1993. Howe and Farr killed them in the bullpen.

I was at this game with my dad, cousin, and friend. It was a wild day and not very nice weather. Almost similar conditions to the Ventura walkoff single/ grand slam in ‘99 which I was also at. Great times

GLad to see the audio broadcast in its entirety. Now, if you do have Exile53's broadcast (albeit partial), if you can put that game up (unless you have an upgrade), then we can SEE the action in the 9th. Plus, it's a CBS broadcast w/Greg Gumbel and Jim Kaat.

I have to do a combination thing of Exile53s and my own file, Mine is uncut from the Bottom 7th to signoff and his had some earlier game action and it needs to be edited together in a single file for "most complete" version.

@@epaddon Okay. We look forward to the best version around. Because it's a regular season game, I don't mind if the two combined versions have some missing frames. At least the ending will be there.

How do you have access to all these broadcast?? thanks so much for uploading them. can we try to request some random regular season games if u have them?

This one was commercially sold in the late 90s by Danrick Enterprises (now out of business). He didn't have it for sale the last fifteen years he was in business so I was lucky to get it when I did. Requests would depend on seasons. Some years I have a lot of (almost the entire 78 season which I found the original reels of) and others not a lot radio wise (just five to ten games some years).

I used to get games all of the time from Danrick Enterprises. Thank you for all of these uploads. Great games

@@richkraft3620 Did you get stuff from the time before he briefly let MLB handle things and then he came back when he saw that MLB was mismanaging things? Unfortunately after that a lot of selections like this game were never available again until he finally folded up.

@@epaddon Sad to hear that Danrick Enterprises went out of business. Do you know what ever happened to his catalog? He had so many good listings.

@@russellcrane4336 He told me he found a buyer for his stuff. I have no idea who that buyer was but I can say this. Danrick had access to reel to reel masters for a number of Yankee games from 78 to 80 that I came into possession of when a massive estate of reel to reel tapes was unloaded on e-bay over a period of a couple years but whether they came from the guy Danrick sold to or whether Danrick just had access to some of the same tapes at one time in the past I'll never know. The bottom line is that because I was lucky I have almost the entire 1978 Yankee season on radio and a large chunk of 79 and 80 as well.
