Bro!!! came across your channel yesterday after the bell. Was up until 4am watching your videos. I put your methods to work this morning on $RKT and $SLGG went 3 for 3 made $1200! This broke my 5 day slump... Solid and easy to learn with effort! THANK YOU!
@10:15 mark, “GTC” means good till cancelled, which can be set 90 days from the date the order is submitted. “Day” is for that day only, it will automatically cancel your order when the market closes at 4pm.
Dude I’ve watched so many videos and this is the only one that made sense to me! Thank you so much. Your explanations definitely fit the way my brain learns things.
Switching from Robinhood/Webull to ToS and I have to say I really appreciate you making this video. Saved me lots of time when trying to figure out the best strategy for quick scalp fills. Thank you!
This blows me away. I wish I had half your knowledge not only of option trading but maneuvering around thinkorswim. I got some watching/studying to do. Thanks!!!!!
Bro you’re 🐐’ed, I was watching other you tubers and they always make off topic comments during the videos, give too many examples to the point where I lose track of the subject, and this is the best and simplest video I needed. Thank you !
Carmine, Great video! I have my 14 yr. old grandson watching it next. Great delivery of the information, easy to follow. I have been looking for a good tutorial for him and are subscribed.
Been dying to figure out a better wya to trade options on TOS. Had no idea you could use active trader, exactly what i was looking for. Truly a game changer!!! Thank you
I subscribed! GTC = GOOD TO CANCEL NOT GOOD TO CLOSE. A day order is GOOD TO CLOSE of business day. Good to cancel is an order placed until it is cancelled. Thanks again and I got some pointers on THink or SWim
Not sure if anyone has already pointed this out but GTC is (Good Til Canceled) meaning the order will remain active until canceled regardless of time. "Day" is actually good til close, i.e. the contract remains active the rest of the day. Just a miscommunication there in an otherwise great ToS overview.
Tom's idea here is actually right but he had it worded wrong. GTC means the order stays open until it is filled or manually cancelled. It does not mean it closes at the close of the day.
Good explanation of options. Personally trying to do similar content on my UA-cam channel that I just started. All of this knowledge can and should be free. Wayyy to many people are losing money because they just don’t understand the basics and how important the psychology is.
i really appreciate your videos and your way of teaching. im a slow learner and need things broken down to me on a basic level before i understand it but once i do its so easy for me. i was paper trading yesterday with what'd be a realistic investment for me if i were live trading and made $600 profit by following your .30% delta and strike price rule. im still lost on how i did it but its starting to make sense for me more and more.
Thank you, I'm new to trading options and this video helped me understand more on how to trade. Any more videos, I can watch for beginners is greatly appreciated. Thanks
At 9:37, there is a bar where you can slide to extreme left or right. How do you decide which side to go? Does it mean Buy Call is always to the left and Sell Put is to the right? How do we decide? Can you also share that link (9:50) you mentioned too? Thanks.
Hello Carmine - new to TOS but looking fwd to ur vids. here is what i am trying to do with TOS: stock trigger at 50 - profit sell 56 - stop loss 47 - capital management w/o being short the stock on a swing day. does conditional orders w/ TOS have a OCO - order cancels order - feature? if I profit at 56 but then stock swings down will my stop loss be cancelled once the profit sell is triggered or vice versa?
Seen this instruction before but didn't commit I should have. Is there a way to copy and paste more than one stocks option chain. As you would on the left side. E..g. like you would a customized list of gainers or movers that you can just hover over the tickers click and drag to the ticker box. Very helpful are your lessons BTW 👌 You actually make it easy to understand its top notch stuff.
Hey Carmine, I'm new to options trading and there's a HUGE learning curve. Your explanation on using TOS for options trading is EXCELLENT!!! Thank you so much. I'm still not fully understanding how delta affects my earnings.
amount of money yiu make when the price of a stock goes up 1 dollar or down one. If you have 10 contracts multiply delta by 10 to see your profit every time your stock goes up 1$
Hi, When i sell a put in TOS, do i have to make sure i already have funds in my live account, to put through the tradde ? in the event that the buyer exercise the option ? Is it a requiremnet at the moment of executing the option ? or when the option is exercised ?
Thanks on the video! Def. going to watch all you videos on options. That’s the one part of my trading I have not yet fully completed on my learning curve.!!
GTC means Good Til Cancelled, so the order stays live until you cancel it, so that can go for days/weeks... DAY means if you dont get filled by the end of the trading day, the order is cancelled. And it's "Lift the offer" or "Lift the Ask", not "Hit the Ask", Hit is only used when talking about Bids...I used to get reamed as a clerk on the trading floor for that lol.
@Carmine Rosato at around the 7.51 mark, you mention the Put for the 245 strike with a delta of -.39. You said for every $1 the stock moves up, it will go up. Was it meant that it supposed to go down -.39?
Hello bud, around 10:55 you paste that cut into the charts. For some reason I am able to copy the option but not paste it into the charts at the top. Do you have any recommendations to fix this?
I'm new to trading options and confuse how to read the strike price. For example you set 30 when the price is 248 so wouldnt the strike price be 218? But for some reason 175 and other numbers come up. Is there a more basic video you would recommend watching?
Wish they would allow you to move the Ask X and Bid X on the call side all the way to the left. its easy to understand but on the ipad and iphone version you can move them around.
how can i change the strike price to dollars .....When i look at the strike price it is not displaying a dollar amount in relation to the price the stock is trading at but instead just a 2 digit number. How can i change that?
Finally moving out of Robinhood and learning TOS, this learning curve is no joke but this video definitely helped.
TOS is the move fuck vlad and fuck Robinhood!
Me too, but RH is so user friendly.
In gaming terms:
Robinhood = Concole
ThinkOrSwim = PC
Same here 😅🤙🏽
Dude for real

This has helped me wayyyy more than anything else had. Love it. Thank you.
You're welcome! Thanks for the support
Same. Ive watched hours of vids and this is the best simplest explanation
Who taught you this
Bruhhh... You just answered some of the many questions I had on TOS with options..... God Bless You Brother.....
WOW! You took a very intimidating program to me and put it into plain English!!! Thank you so much!! 👊👊
You’re an excellent instructor! Very thorough and straight to the point, you’ve helped me out so much! Thank you for sharing!
glad it helped!
Switching from Robinhood/Webull to ToS and I have to say I really appreciate you making this video. Saved me lots of time when trying to figure out the best strategy for quick scalp fills. Thank you!
are you still using ToS since? Or which broker? Why no Webull though?
This blows me away. I wish I had half your knowledge not only of option trading but maneuvering around thinkorswim. I got some watching/studying to do. Thanks!!!!!
Im slowly transitioning from Forex into the stock market. Love all the info!

This is the first video of yours that I've watched......good stuff.....thank you Carmine
Tom McCullough thank you ! I appreciate it Tom
Excellent! One of the best videos on options I've seen. You really know your stuff.
Carmine, Great video! I have my 14 yr. old grandson watching it next. Great delivery of the information, easy to follow. I have been looking for a good tutorial for him and are subscribed.
finally found someone who explain better than other, thank you buddy )))
just opened a TD account with $200.00
I've watched 3 of your videos so far and I've already learned a lot from you!
I appreciate it!
Thank you!
Been dying to figure out a better wya to trade options on TOS. Had no idea you could use active trader, exactly what i was looking for. Truly a game changer!!! Thank you
@7:45 I think he means the PUT options will go up 0.39 for every dollar the stock moves down. UA-cam is UA-cam.
One of the best explanation of Option trading in TOS.
Carmine your the best teacher on here bro! Thanks!!!
I subscribed!

Super helpful video mate, I would have no idea of changing the layout to "Volume & Open Interest" if not because of you, thanks so much!!!

Great detailed info !
Great video, I’ve been struggling to find someone to explain in a way that I can understand. Thank you!

This by far one of the best vids for this on UA-cam. Thank you man this helped so much
@8:05 doesn't buying a put mean shorting the trade?? Because you said that" if you want to long you click the ask"
Man...Great job, please keep teaching...Your step by step videos help a lot
Appreciate it!

Good morning Carmine, can yo please share your ThinkOrSwim setup for Options Trading ?
Thank you !
is it possible to lose more money than i put in. For instance, If i put in that 501 dollars could i end up losing like 800 dollars?

Glad it helped!!
That simplification you did where you said things are basically "this" or theres a shortcut for "that" are everything.
5 out 5.
good video thanks I can use the Dom and order flow in ThinkorSwim ?
Can you buy and sell instantly options? Or with the contracts you can only sell later on

Put is inverse. If -.39, the option will increase in value for every dollar the stock moves down
Hey how can someone like me take full advantage of your course
I appreciate the knowledge brotha👑
Is there a reason why the default quantity is negative(-10) when trying to purchase a Put? And positive when purchasing a call?
GTC doesn’t mean “Good Till Closed” like you said, it means “Good Till Canceled”
Thanks so much for this, and thanks if you could please link the workspace!
Is GTC good to close or good to canceled?
Hello bud, around 10:55 you paste that cut into the charts. For some reason I am able to copy the option but not paste it into the charts at the top. Do you have any recommendations to fix this?
it wont let you paste what you copied, but you can "ctrl V" in the chart and it will paste your option copy......just how thinkorswim is. good luck
I'm new to trading options and confuse how to read the strike price. For example you set 30 when the price is 248 so wouldnt the strike price be 218? But for some reason 175 and other numbers come up. Is there a more basic video you would recommend watching?
Is there PDT for ToS for option trading? I know RH does, but I would like to move over to ToS.
RH gives you a margin account. With a cash account, you will not be restricted to 3 day trades
