Would love to get a better understanding of how to choose the best contracts. Put options have been the only thing really working for me lately. I need to make myself sit down and get a better understanding of all the different variables.... the greeks, IV, open interest, ITM vs atrm vs otm? its hurting the brain a bit. I understand each of these individually but when I try to take them all into consideration at the same time I feel like all my understanding goes out the window.
Hi Oscar, I have not. I've seen it used, and while I do think it can be a useful tool, its not something I have dove into. For now my strategy works just fine without it, if its not broken, dont fix it!

I was actually searching for lesson on changing the theme on the options chain as I am unable to see the highlight for in the money on my computer. I truly got far more than I expected. However can you assist me with the highlighting of in the money rows in the option chain in the "Light theme"?
Hi Sandra! Thanks for tuning in, the best we can do to change hilight color is to go to Setup > Application Settings > Look and feel > Color Scheme . In there youll have to set a new custom color profile based on light, but change the tooltip color from the pale yellow to whatever you want. Best of luck!

I was looking for your video explaining implied volatility on options chain and applying it to out chart for that week i think it was a weekly update a few weeks ago but im looking for it to go over it a few more times
Yes, weekly expected move is just taking the Friday expiration BEFORE THE MARKET OPENS MONDAY and using the implied move in parenthesis at the far right hand side.
You can generate a custom spread by using the alt button and selecting the strikes you want in the bid and ask column. Or you can bring up the order window and edit the strikes to generate a "broken wing"

Glad it helped. Product depth helps us plot characteristics about the options greeks... Not all that helpful for market direction IMO.

Great vid! My TOS options layout does not show the expected move for each expiration. How does one turn this feature on?
Make the window wider? It should be a default option with no functionality to toggle on or off.

Its a screen presentation tool, not part of the streaming software. Its quicktime screen recorder. Very basic setup, nothing fancy on my end
Do you have a video which explains Gamma under Product Depth section? How to understand the Gamma curve line on the chart?

at time stamp 16:29 you say I can buy the 416 yet you sell it? Did you mean to buy it? Was an Iron Condor your intention?
Yes, I should have clicked on the ASK to initiate a buy. The other thing you could do is manually change the quantity from -1 to +1

Do you know how I can put my options chain right beside my chart on thinkorswim. That way I don't have to switch back and fourth.
You can detach the window and then have a multi window setup. Thats the only way!

On my screen I have some rows that show the date exp. and the days remaining in gray but it has 100(weeklys) in yellow, why is that?
Those are just weekly expirations. They expire every Friday and are "non standard" expiration.
what is the MMM in yellow?
Market Maker Move! Shows the implied move for earnings usually.
