Damn man that's so f***** up I can't thank you enough for sharing brother just last night I was going to preorder the cross helmet that have all the same features and Technology with the heads up view behind camera,I was just gonna put up 1600 last night, with a waiting time was six months to a year right now they're in the process of tooling, I mean it's a badass helmet with all the bells n whistles, ,I'll just wait with my money in hand! So looks like that's going to be the new beginning of a new style helmet that more companies are going to take on with the heads up, adding more tech which is good because will also bring down the price for competitive purposes, so that work out for me, 6 months to a year will start seeing a lot more of these helmets around I'm sure of it, Thanks again for sharing

I pre-ordered one as well back in 2015 and was screwed.....Still happy with overall look and hardware but from what i here the software needed major improvement. Such a cool idea but what a lame app and voice prompts were kinda cheeezy. Hope they keep the same vibe going but give Dat shitty software and overhaul! Especially if you want to make a good impression on a still existing Tarnished Name. Check out the the Drift4k ghost action camera smaller yet vast improvements. Enjoyed the Vid Bro keep that hope alive and one day will get dem helmets.
So far, I am still waiting to receive the helmet through the "make it right" campaign the new company owners launched. The helmets, now called, Fenix, are slated to be shipped during the beginning months of the summer. I will keep you and everyone else posted.
I pre-ordered and got my money back 1 week before the disclosure... I knew it was bullshit after the second delay in June...I called and spoke to that women that filed the lawsuit. She was MORE than happy to refund me.

Good evening, I just received a "reserve your order now" from Skully Technologies and was wondering if anyone else got the same thing? They are asking for a credit card number to secure a helmet and will only charge it once they have shipped it out. Shipments are scheduled for beginning of summer 2018.

It's not quite the same as your analogy. The original owners of skully took my $1500 and ran with it. The new owners OFFERED to honor my previous purchase with the previous owners. They could have said too bad, so sad. So I wasn't scammed twice. However, I still haven't received neither my money back nor the helmet that was promised under the "make it right" campaign. So scammed once and lied to once is more like it.

@@Lokey_8664 The Sena helmet looks promising, however the price point has me concerned. A good helmet WITHOUT any tech costs much more than $399 so how is it that Sena is able to include all of that tech into a good, safe helmet. Seems to me a buyer would be sacrificing safety for tech. I would want to look into who is manufacturing their helmets, what shell are they using, and impact testing data prior to purchasing. That's just my opinion. As far as the IC cranium, their website eerily reminds me of Scully's website when they were crowdfunding. A website with a countdown timer without any specs on the helmet would have me leery until they provide more detailed information about the helmet. I love technology, trust me. But when it comes to riding, we all know its safety first!

@@Lokey_8664 That, my friend, is exactly what I'm doing. Who doesn't want an iron-man interface built into their helmet? Now if Shoei or Arai put out a helmet with tech, I'm all in. Interestingly, none of the major helmet manufacturers seem to be interested in combining tech with helmets. I rock a RF1200 with the CWR1 light sensing shield and PackTalk for now.
Well that's true and not true at the same time. The guys who started Skully and ran off with everyone's pre-order money have filed bankruptcy and are along gone. These two guys bought the remaining of Skully's assets and have started another company. As the result of that, the helmet was renamed Fenix. If you research these two guys, they seem to be efficient at getting businesses back on track where they had miserably failed. So far, the main reason I have faith in them at all is that they are NOT taking any more pre-orders and are honoring the orders made for the AR-1 before the company folded. As I have said before, only time will tell. If I hear anything at all, you can be sure a video will be up immediately. Are these guys legit or just round two of the losers that started Skully? Who knows, but I'll find out.
pictuelle Thanks for your comment. However, no thanks implies I was in some way pushing or promoting the skully helmet. That is not the case. The purpose of the video was to let preorder purchasers know their may be hope on the horizon with regards to receiving a helmet after skully crashed and burned a while back.
I agree with that statement with regards to the original owners. These two guys claim they are going to pick up where the previous owners dropped the ball and deliver on a product. I am skeptical to say the least. However, the new owners could have just said, "We are starting a new company so if you want a helmet, they will be available shortly." and left it at that. Why offer to honor all the previously paid for pre-orders? That's quite a bit of money in the red to assume. I registered for the helmet on October 16th, 2017 as they suggested in the email I received so I'm waiting to see what happens. I have nothing to lose at this point. I have already lost $1500 dollars thus far. I will keep you posted on any new information I find out.

Well, you can't buy or invest with the old company and I would be reluctant to buy or invest with the new owners until they can prove they are going to actually follow through on their word and produce the helmet and ship them out to previous purchasers who paid in full and never received anything from Skully. At least, that's how I see it.
Oh great, Skully is back!!! A pathetic excuse for a HUD helmet!!! I did a video on my feelings on Skully called "Comparing Heads Up Display Motorcycle Helmets" on my channel. I think that a stupid design, and if there ever is a rider crash, and the rider goes forward, and over the handlebars and then that stupid prism goes straight into the eye, in addition to the other injuries, as well as if a rider goes down on one side. The safety issue is too great for me, and that is why I never even did buy that pathetic helmet. There are better HUD helmets out there, as you will see in that video on my channel .
