    Ahh, some electronics works, coffee and glue fumes. Right back to the 70's. Very nice work! Sounds great for some studio/bedroom noodling.

    just curious why anyone would use an lm386 when they could use a tda7052a . i mean if you are going to do it right ...

    The tone is not exciting, but the amp looks great! Lovely design! And great video too!

    This is awesome man - I came here sampling sounds of the LM386, looking to build a mini amplifier to partner my 1x5 cab without having to wrap my head and wallet around hefty transformers for a full tube power amp... This seems like such a nice compromise at this sort of scale. Thank you for the inspiration.

    Hi, I have spare 6z4 tube (I couldn’t buy only one, they sell them in pairs) can I build a single tube amp with that tube, it’s a rectifier. I just started to learn about tube circuits.

    Nice little practice amp! Could use other ic for more power and higher voltage, which I'm sure would help out on tube plate. Plenty of TDA... chip amps out there that operate at like 36 volts or so. Good tone, but higher voltage might make that 12au7 "sing". Or maybe a 12ax7?.

    • @theknifesedge57
      @theknifesedge57 4 роки тому +1

      12AY7 maybe. I've done 12AX7 at 48v and it's still hard to get sounding good.

    • @ronb6182
      @ronb6182 2 роки тому

      @@theknifesedge57 if you have 36 vac you can multiply the voltage for plate current. I don't know how much is too much for most hobbyist. If you only have 12 or 24 volts ac a voltage multiplier would be needed, 36 you would only need to double the voltage. At work we have 22 vac at one amp I may try a voltage multiplier in my spare time after work hours. I think I could make these tube amps sing. Output transformers is another obstacle. You don't want plate voltage going through your headphones.

    Bel lavoro complimenti,forse userò la tua parte preamp per un mio finale da 60W a circuito integrato Philips che ho già assemblato ma cerco il pre adatto. Pensavo di usare alta tensione per la pre ECC83 ma mi sono fermato per dei dubbi sugli accoppiamenti degli stadi,(valvolare e poi stato solido) . Il tuo preamp mi tranquillizza ,se riesco lo faccio e vedo se si accoppia bene. Un saluto da Genova!

    I like the idea, might build something similar myself. One question though... did you really think it was necessary to make a PCB for such simple circuits I mean come on man you could have done turret or point-to-point. I've made some tiny pcbs for IC chips but I wouldn't do the whole thing PCP just because I'm using an IC. All that aside great project and I just subscribed.

      It's a solid state power stage using an LM386 chip, so no output transformer needed also. Two AU7 valve pre-amp gain stages. The info is on the video!

      @@mowler8042,
      Different value coupling capacitors that block higher frequencies and pass lower frequencies between the various amp stages.
      More power? No, not really. Speakers? Those with better bass response.

      Se que es un comentario antiguo, en primera, aprende a escribir bien o almenos de una forma mas facil de leer. Segunda, el mismo tipo te muestra la esquematica del circuito y como la grafica en un programa que sirve para eso y la mando a enviar a una compañia que se dedica a fabricar PCBs, las varias plaquetas se llaman protoboards y sirven para PROTOTIPAR, para probar si el circuito funciona. Buen dia 👍
