I just ordered the Chameleon because the Flipper is not able (yet) to do NFC-V I was able to copy a hotel key in Vegas but I needed to decode keys from the rooms card reader first. Very fun and cool. May finally get a proxmark and eventually a chip implant from dangerous things.
One of the good things about the Flipper is the amount of people working into improving it. Its getting updates all the time. I wish it could be the same with the Chameleons *sighs*.
Great stuff, I really like this gadget already Also for those who want to buy one, he didn't show it too much but the included cable is actually a very nice cable, it was a pleasant surprise ! It's got a built in usb-c to usb-a adapter, so you have a versitale cable that carries data for your phone and pc ! It's aslo nicely built, and the braid on it looks like a Cameleon's tail. Of course the gadget itself is very good looking and neat feels like I've had my money's worth edit : is the cable a USB to UART adapter ? That's even better, I didn't have that
Hi! The bracelet is the one being sold by Red Team Tools (I'm not affiliated). Here is the link: www.redteamtools.com/hybrid-rfid-wristband-credential-t5577-compatible-magic-s50-uid-changable/
I know this is an older video, but can you use this with the M5 Cardputer? I just got the M5 Cardputer and someone made an app to work with the Chameleon Ultra.
As of right now, the writing capabilities are not yet implemented in firmware. Ill be doing a future video once its possible. For writing, at the moment it can be done with the ProxMark, or the Flipper Zero (Depending on the type of card and technology)
Got one but all I've done is firmware update it. It's not doing what I want yet so thanks for the vid, subbed for more! Got the app running on my debian laptop and the phone.
Ive been keeping an eye on the github of the app, still have a long way to go but the future is bright 😁 ... Ill post a second video update once we can write with it.
Great work. I want to write my master thesis on this. I want to create a mobile app using the Chameleon ultra's SDK (hope its available for public) and then in the app there are few options for user like : Transport card, Access card etc. The user selects the option, lets say the Transport card. Now the user just has to fill certain details like Name, id etc and the app creates a dump of the card. The whole process doesn't require the physical presence of the Transport card as its generic dump is saved inside the app and the dump changes as per each user enters its detail. Can you tell me if it is feasible or not ?
It depends on the technology and type of cards being used by the hotel. I was at Las Vegas a few months ago for DEFCON, and I was able to do it at the hotel I was staying at, same with another friend at another hotel. It didn't work for some of my other friends at other hotels. Its a hit or miss thing.
So what do you use to flipper zero for in this video to emulate like the chameleon can't emulate? And can the flipper zero do everything the chameleon can if not can you tell me what the chameleon can do that the flipper can't? Or is what you're saying that they both can do different cards? Sorry one more, can the chameleon hack the reader? Thank you Where is what you're saying@@DavidProbinsky
They are two kinds of different tools. The Flipper can do RFID (Basic level), Infrared, Bluetooth, etc. The Chameleon can only do RFID and NFC. The difference, is that the Chameleon has the hardware to do advanced level RFID, but it has not been implemented yet in the firmware. Its still under development. The Flipper is a nice tool that can do many things, kinda like a Swiss Army pocket knife, but at basic levels. The Chameleon has less capabilities such as the lack of Infrared, but in terms of RFID hardware, its more advanced. The Chameleon is more focused for Security professionals and Red Team Operators who can use it during engagements due to size and features.
OK I get it thanks for your response, what about the pro mark three? I'm just opening up an online store so I have a whole bunch of this equipment I got flippers I got hack RF ones Prox mark threes some other random no RFID readers. But the hacker F1 is sure hard to figure out. I also ordered a bunch of the chips because it looks pretty simple to make a lot of this stuff I'm gonna start trying to with trying to make a solar power GPS tracker kind of thing@@DavidProbinsky
Thanks for the demo! I just got mine for an upcoming engagement and this got me up to speed fast.
Glad I could help!
Great demonstration! This is certainly a great tool to use on an engagement.
Absolutely!
Great vid as always David!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!

Don't do a chip. Implant trust me on this....

Cool, keep up The updates and how to decode some rdfi hacks
Hello, what model or brand of RFID bracelet did you show in the video?

Very cool, thanks for showing this. I just ordered one 😊
Thanks, hope you enjoy it! I'm looking forward to being able to write on-the-go with it.
Great thanks. Can I add my Somfy garage doors on it? Can I use it as a garage bip as well?
Google is your friend.
After reading my rfid and checking the dictionary nothing happens and no keys are find. Can u help me?
Does it copy RFID code from another card RFID?
Yes it does, it's what I did in the video. The bracelet I used for the video is an RFID card, but it's designed to look like a bracelet.
@@DavidProbinsky Thank you my friend!
Can i write into a rfid card with this device? The idea is to have and original card and make a copy, not emulate, read and write on another card

@@DavidProbinsky Can this write yet? Could I possibly save the dump, copy it on a flipper and write to a card/fob?
❤
They doing copies these now 35 pound on alie express buying one now
