so upset he left, he was the perfect fit for Yvette's play style
Not according to her 😂
@@justinrensel8518 thats not why he left. He simply wanted to focus on his solo project, as well as explore other opportunities. There was no falling out.
I did not say there was a falling out.
@@justinrensel8518 my point was it had nothing to do with the relationship or work flow between Yvette and Forrest. Forrest left by his own decision.
yess, i dont get why he left, great music.
also her compositions made his drumming better, also his drumming made her songs better too.
This version of Covet was a magical moment in music. For me, at least. The bass and drums wrapped around Yvettes guitar and made a super being.
This dude really makes those tunes come to life. very intricate and nuanced playing, love it
Love seeing some official Forrest playthroughs for Covet!!
Too bad he’s not with them anymore
This is the song that got me hooked on Covet, and the more I listened to them, the more I fell in love with Forrest's writing and playing. So awesome to see a playthrough of this!
Likewise. What an album
I’m so stoked they have put out so many vids with Forrest!
Stumbled into this and absolutely love it.
Excellent song. Excellent mix. Excellent drummer. Excellent smile!
Wow these drums and cymbals sound phenomenal. Props to the mixer and whoever tunes the kit. And of course the player makes a lot of it
I wish they would credit the mix engineer. Sounds like a Nolly drum mix big time
One of the best drummers out there!
So simple yet complex at the same time. And his relaxation while effortlessly shifting into different melodies/time signatures, outstanding and kind of mind-blowing. My first watch of Forrest and I'm a fan. 😮
🔥🔥🔥
This video is so good, the track, the sticking, the style, the sound and video editing.. Well done
Excellent song, excellent playing, excellent tones/visuals. And the sound of those vintage crashes are.. well, excellent.
Love these videos you guys put out. Great track, great performance.
This is a beautiful piece of music 🎶 definitely my favorite by them.
Forrest you’re so creative!! This is brilliant
He’s so full joy. I love this dude and wish he was still in Covet. His drumming flows with her so well.
Having said that, Yvette did find a sick ass drummer to step up.
Forrest is so good, can’t wait to see where he ends up next!
Forrest just keeps getting better and better🤦🏾♂️🔥
When I get another set... I think I've been convinced at this point to just spend the money on some good meinls. This channel is too damn good.
Big fan of this guy!
Killin' it Forrest!
This is so sick!
Damn, I really love how and what he plays, breaks my heart I'll never get to see him play with Covet.
So chill
Forrest destroying my skull as per usual. The mix is killer and drum envy has taken hold of me!
I always love you broooooo
I like listening to Forrest Rice when I need 2000 of something 🍚
Representing the I.E !💪
king 👑
Hell yeah Forrest😎
His smile though🤗
so goated
his snare sounds so good i need to know what it is
Tama SLP Dynamic Bronze
what are those called? 2:22
Those are the Benny Greb Crasher Hats in 8" (Meinl released a 6" version this year, but i believe the version Forrest uses is the 8" one)
What's the snare?
I know this is a cymbal video, but OOF... that snare sound is hnnnng😅
Every kit on this channel makes my panties soaked
Sorry i didn t Gear all thé peace :) very good .
Thought that was Shaun Morgan from Seether for a second there hahaha
This track has some serious Chon vibes
Yo Forrest. Pull up, I challenge you to Halo 3
This guy looks stoned af
I can see where Brian Evans gets his inspiration
the og's of mathcore
Good drummer, but everyone plays the same way in our Times . Mix of portnoy,/ Collins /fills of heavy métal and Bonham. Good music and drummer.sorry.
Don’t be sorry. But name me two other drummers that play the same way
Brian evans, Andy prado, anyone of their peers too
@@matthewmalphrus2906 to me Both of those drummers play and have a different sound than Forrest. Just cause they effortlessly weave chops in their drumming doesn’t make them the same imo, it’s about expression but to each their own I guess. This comment makes it sound like they’re bored or envious of dope drumming lmao
I’ll agree that there’s a lot of similarity in the community today with the prog/gospel chop thing, but I find it refreshing. And similarities in a genre aren’t the same as similarities in the drumming world at large; billy Martin doesn’t play this way, no need to. Same can be said for matt chamberlain, jay lane, stanton moore, ash soan, Todd roper, matt abts, Fred eltringham, George sluppick, Jj Johnson, Alan evans, shawn pelton, ect. Be happy it’s starting to sound similar to you, may signal your creative side getting the itch to deep dive into some new music/drummers/styles!!
This guy looks like he just left a barbecue party. He is chillin' behind the kit, no sweat. I have nothing against him. Just saying. He is yet another artist from a big company's roster, the tracks sound the same most of the guys, especially gals, look the same and that is it. Period. Nothing new. Both companies and artists have become slaves to something they cannot define but it is certainly killin' the magic of drums, drumming and the industry.
what a shit take lmao
Who hurt you?
@@douwevandenworm1751 😂Hey there Dr Phil 😂😂😂
ok boomer
So, show us, what can you bring to the table to bring back that magic you're talking about. Specially when having the audacity to say "they look the same" when you haven't even let go of the "cymbals looking away from you" era
This dude said " my style is cologne".
